PHOENIX

Silver ware clanked as I walked about, feeling finally peaceful. It's been a week since I started staying with the girls and I must say, its been really great. I tried to stay up on my feet - despite Alex's numerous warnings against stressing out.

I stopped abruptly when a pang of dejectedness shot through me.

I missed Mom greatly, wanting to hold and care for her. My heart was a little at ease though knowing Caleb would take absolute care of her.

There were times when I just wanted to rush back to see Mom and Caleb but deep down I knew I was not safe until I knew what had really happened. I had to remember what happened within those months of my life.

Was I kidnapped?

Did I run away?

I had to find out before going back.

I was currently in the kitchen making turkey sandwiches and fries for lunch. I was bored out of my mind so I decided to hit the kitchen.

Footsteps echoed as someone walked in, the door shutting with a bang.

'Wow, something smells yummy in her

PHOENIX I woke up today feeling worse than ever. I had taken Alex's potion like she said I should. I had slept like a baby like Arizona said I would but only for the first few hours. I had nightmares like every other time but unlike those times, I couldn't wake up from them. I slept through the entire thing till morning. When I finally woke up shuddering and breathing heavily, I couldn't remember what the dream was about. I could however tell it was vivid and scary, very scary. I dragged myself into my ensuite bathroom and took a long hot bath. When I finally got out, I felt relaxed, better. I got dressed in a white and red off shoulder flowered gown, the material whooshing around my thighs softly. My hair went in a French braid and I headed down to make breakfast. I was the designated chef in the house as Alex was always too busy with her queenly duties to cook, Adriana could only put together few simple dishes and Arizona cannot cook to save her life. I settled with a si

JACKSON I marched out of my meeting, royally pissed. I was in fact already angry this morning - I have been every day since Phoenix left me - while I was taking my breakfast and to crown it all, the pack elders' meeting was the last straw that broke the camel's back. The elders of my pack had requested a meeting to discuss the 'situation' of my rule. I went to them with little interest only for them to 'remind' me - as if I needed any - that I had kept the Luna's position vacant for too long, especially after already finding my mate. As if that was not enough, they 'kindly' let me know that I either had to find my mate, mate with Fiona, the daughter of an Alpha of a neighbouring pack or step down from my position as Alpha. I was even given a month to decide. I just barged out of the meeting after coldly staring down all the elders. Truth be told, I knew where they were coming from. An Alpha needed his Luna by his side to rule but I only wanted to fill that position wit

JACKSON I took off running in my midnight black wolf, Thunder, with my clothes tied to my ankles. I was headed to the Half crescent pack to talk to Caleb. I needed to know if he had any updates for me regarding his search for my mate. I needed all the help I could get. I also needed to see for myself what David meant when he said Caleb was up to something. Could it be that he knew something he wasn't letting on. I kept running miles upon miles, with my wolf wheezing past trees and other shrubs. Thunder was anxious to know if Caleb had found anything regarding our mate and I couldn't blame him. He was missing Phoenix and sometimes, it became a great feat to calm him down. I came to a stop, close to the borders of the Half crescent pack. I quickly changed, putting on my clothes before heading for the pack. I walked past the patrolling guards, sending a nod to each of them. Considering David's idea, I had called Alpha Rain earlier, alerting him I would be coming to his pa

PHOENIX I woke up this morning, eager and anxious. We were going to find a person named Moira who supposedly would have answers to why I had just defied a five thousand year old hexed book and was still alive. What a day today would be. I dragged myself off my warm and cozy bed and stepped into the bathroom. I stripped myself of my night clothes and turned on the shower. I just wasn't in the mood for a bath. A shower would do, I thought. After vigorously washing my body and hair, I dressed up in an off shoulder blue long sleeved shirt and black baggy pants with black boots, my hair going into a messy bun. I went straight to the kitchen to brew some coffee. That would have to do. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast. By the time I was through with my third cup of coffee, the girls stepped down, all dressed up and ready to go. 'did you have all those cups of coffee' Arizona said, looking at me with disbelief well written on her face. I nodded and she squirmed, shaking

PHOENIX 'Long long time ago' Moira rasped, her sizzling blue eyes gleaming, 'when the creator was making this world from total abyss, He had created the world for humans and beasts. He filled the world with humans and all other type of living creatures. But He did not stop there. He decided to make supernatural creatures so He made werewolves, vampires, mermaids, fairies, trolls and as many as you can imagine. These supernatural creatures were to exist together, separate from man as they had different abilities from man. All supernatural creatures lived in total harmony, each blessed with that special someone made just for them. It however differed from creature to creature, what they would call that special someone and how they would find that special someone. For the werewolves, it would be by smell, for the vampires by aura and so on for the others. All was well, till a certain girl named Selena, a werewolf, who occasionally visited the human world just for the fun of

PHOENIX I looked up at Moira, completely flabbergasted. What! I wrinkled my brows at her and she smiled that wide smile of hers, understanding passing in her blue orbs. 'Wait a minute. She is Celeste's reincarnation?' Arizona squeaked. I turned to look at Arizona and true to my thoughts, she was wide eyed. I only had to imagine how pale and shocked I must look. 'It only makes sense. You touched a book meant for fairies without turning to dust' Adriana mused, turning to look at me. 'but guys listen, the book is only meant for fairies. Even if she was Celeste, wouldn't she turn to dust because she is a werewolf' Arizona asked, still looking wide eyed at Moira. 'yes, she is a werewolf but due to what happened to her when she was Celeste, she would have some traits of a fairy as well' Moira mused, still fixing those blue orbs of hers on me. I gave her a blank stare, not really seeing her. I was that shocked. 'If she was meant to stop the war between the werewolves and the vamp

CALEB After Alpha Jackson left my restaurant, I was filled with nostalgia and apprehension. I knew from my investigations that Phoenix had taken off, headed towards the Blue moon pack. I had spent months trying to track her movements and finally I had something but I wasn't in the least bit glad. All it meant was that I had to go back to my previous pack. I couldn't bear to do that. But then, thinking about the promise I had made to Phoenix's unconscious mother - to bring her daughter back - I knew I had to do something. I kept arguing back and forth with myself, even as I got ready to leave for the blue moon pack, two days after Alpha Jackson had came to see me. I took some clothes and tied them around my ankles before changing into my brown wolf, Kelvin. Kelvin was also anxious to go back to our former pack but he knew he had to, for the sake of his friendship, for the sake of his promise to a helpless mother. As he took off running, I knew he was doing so only on adren

PHOENIX I woke up feeling good. For the first time in weeks, I had slept with no nightmares. I had slept like a baby. I watched as the rays of the sun seeped into my bedroom while I let the events of yesterday wash over me. I was a dead Fairy Queen, reincarnated. I shuddered at that. I hopped off my bed and walked gingerly into my bathroom to run myself a bath. When I was done, I got ready, my hair going up in a high ponytail, small elegant curls at the ends. Done dressing up, I skipped downstairs, ready to make breakfast. I settled for toast with omelettes, bacon and some coffee. I made breakfast for everyone and as I settled down to have mine, the girls filed in, taking their seats. They passed me weird looks as they settled down to eat. Tired of their obvious staring, I dropped my fork and turned to them. 'what's with the look guys' I asked. Arizona only looked at me before heaving a sigh.'It's just that we found out that you were our dead Fairy Queen, reincarnated

PHOENIXThe eery darkness blanketed the whole compound, crickets chirping wildly. I looked on, reality sinking. My mind went back to my earlier conversation with Lana. She had dropped by, fingers trembling wildly. I looked on, my gaze resting softly on her. she sat beside me and took my hands in her trembling ones. "Luna, I want you to listen to me. It's urgent" she mused, her voice sounding rushed. I turned to her, silently willing her to speak. She sighed, heavily. "I shouldn't be doing this but I can't be quiet anymore. I think Conrad, my brother is working against the Alpha" she mused. That had me seating up, eyes wide. "He had been acting strangely, distant so I followed him one time. He had climbed up the mountain and met with a man he had called Kenneth. They talked about a woman they both referred to as Mistress. They are plotting to attack, Luna, attack tonight"I sat up. "What" I squeaked. My throat burned from lack of use. Lana got up, dashing into the kitchen. She

JACKSONThere was silence across the room, eery silence. Maximus? Maximus! I turned sharply to see disbelief, anger and confusion pass across the faces in the room - the last being on Owen. I still stood frozen. It was Caleb who broke the silence, his voice resounding through the room. 'Maximus?'Olga turned to him.'Yes. The Vampire your pack took down. Krystal had being in the fight. I thought she had died. I had mourned her' Olga's voice broke 'only for her to resurface again'.I unfroze, confused. 'She was there during the fight?' I asked. Olga nodded. 'She ran away from home. Next I hear, she was dead or was supposedly dead, killed during the battle against the Vampire Maximus' 'How then did she survive' Caleb asked. It was Owen who spoke after his initial confusion had worn off. 'Witches, unlike you believe, are powerful. We don't die easily. She must've survived the battle'Caleb sighed.I turned to Olga who looked blankly at the wall, a question burning in my mind.'

JACKSONTension permeated the room as everyone sat at the very edge of their seat. 'Why are we here again' a lazy drawl taunted me, the source, a purple eyed wizard. I cleared my throat. 'I summoned you here because I need your help' I answered, my gaze transfixed on who appeared to be their leader, a middle aged woman with gleaming purple eyes. The wizard cackled, eyes flashing. I stiffened. 'why would a mighty Alpha as yourself need help from a mere witch clan' he rambled, his taunt clear in his tone. 'Technically, it is not helping if you are fixing what you damaged' Caleb chirped in, annoyed. The wizard straightened in his seat, eye brows furrowing in confusion. The witch, the leader of their clan, the middle aged woman turned abruptly to me, fixing me a pertinent gaze. 'what does that mean'I straightened in my seat. 'You must've heard about the recent attacks on my pack' I mused. 'From investigations we have been able to deduce that with the help of a pack member, a

PHOENIXMurmurs filled my ears, moving all around me as I sat numbly. Beside me, Arizona droned on but I could scarcely hear what she was on about. I was tired, my eye lids protesting against the lack of sleep last night. My eyes closed slowly giving itself recourse for a few minutes before I bolted up. Laughter filled the air. Arizona. She kept talking, going on and on before she walked out, leaving me to my peace. I was about to go back to my restless sleep when movement caught my eye. Jacqueline. PHOENIXDusk slowly set in as I sat numbly, looking out the window. My gaze rested calmly on the expanse of land that was the compound. I sighed. Jackson had been gone the whole day. And I missed him. Our relationship seemed strained. And I couldn't tell why. My head snapped up when the living room doors snapped open. A sullen Jackson and a worried Caleb walked in. Caleb nodded in greeting to me. Jackson walked on, ignoring me. I looked at Caleb. 'Where have he been' He sighed tiredly. 'He had business he had to finish at the Blue moon Pack' he answered and my heart sunk. Jackson walked back in just then, ringing for Amy. I turned to Caleb forcing a smile on my face. 'Join us for dinner Caleb'* * *The dinning room was fairly quiet as we ate slowly. He shrugged. 'I heard about it but I thought it was but a rumour. I had no idea it was true' he told me. He looked fairly innocent Or he must be a very good liar. I sighed. 'That is actually not why I am here' I told him. He sat up in his seat, his red rimmed eyes narrowing to slits. 'What then brings you here''Alpha Colin, I have information that you trade with humans' i told him simply. He inhaled sharply. 'what do you mean?' I raised my brows sardonically. 'You know what I mean Colin. You trade with humans but... ''That is not fair Alpha Jackson. Your pack is bordered with water, good arable land and technology.
