I was through with work in the kitchen, but Lucy had not stopped calling, she had already given me twenty-nine missed calls.

When I couldn't take it anymore, I decided to answer her call and warn her off.

I clicked on the green button and her voice came in, raging like a psychopath

"Hey! How dare you hang up on me? What gives you the right to do so?"

"Quit rattling and also, stop disturbing me! I already told you that I am not interested in working for your mate, so please let me be" I retorted

"And I already told you that you don't have a choice, you are going to resume work immediately, that's final!"

I was shocked at her audacity. Who does she think she is to make such demands? Queen Elizabeth?

"What exactly are you going to do to me if I don't, you can't control my life and I owe you nothing, so why do you think I would obey you?"
