Chapter 157

Alexa's POV...

 

I woke up still feeling pains below my abdomen. It is still a miracle how I survived. I thought I would die; the only thing I could remember was running from this huge man in the woods, only for me to be stabbed by him. I remember falling to the ground and calling for my dead mother to save me, I looked up at the man as he raised his sword in an attempt to chop off my head, and I blacked out. When I woke up in this room, I had no idea how Logan found me and brought me here. I guess miracles do happen sometimes.

 

I tried to get to my feet once more, but I could not. Even though the pains had subsided, it was still challenging for me to move. I really wanted to be able to get up so I could run away again. This time, I would be more careful in the woods.
