ZEKE.

“Are you sure?” I asked, and she nodded hurriedly, eyes glancing behind the room. Has something scared her? Her cheeks are white as though she just saw a ghost.

“Alright.” I get up from the chair, if she wants to leave, then I have no problem with her, besides, this party is starting to scare the fuck out of me. We walk through the hall that leads to the entrance of the house. Throughout, I was praying not to bump into Jay; the guy does not have a bit of sanity in him, and I have no interest in making up an excuse to leave.

When we reached the car, I slammed the brakes and sped towards her pack-house. Astrid had fallen asleep in the backseat, the gentle heaving of her chest reassuring me that She’s okay. The moment I reach her pack-house, I take her into my arms, her body falling lightly on my arms.

“Easy.” I say, looking at her closed eyes. Sweat trickles down her brows; gently I tuck a strand of her hair behind her ears, giving me clear access to her face.
