Chapter 17:

JUNIPER.

I would be lying if I say I am not hell nervous right now.

Logan and I are already in Spain to meet his family and currently, we are driving to the pack-house. My heart pummels loudly enough to show how much of a nerve-wreck I am right now.

The drive to the pack-house seems slow, and I try my best to keep my pounding heart quiet. Logan stares at me, and I smile back professionally at him. Only goddess knows how I am failing terribly at this.

I stare out the window of the car, watching as we zoom across places. After the war that took my mother’s life, I came to another pack, they were kind enough to let a witch in. I wanted to make something out of my life; I didn’t want to be that weakling anymore, I wanted to lead my own life.

My mother was gone; she couldn’t dictate my life anymore.
