It has been two days since the attack and annihilation of the Northern Celestial Pack.  Dad had gotten back late last night and went straight to bed.  He had linked me about half an hour ago for all of us to meet in my office.  I know Luke and Carter were anxious to hear what had happened to their pack.  I also know they were anxious to hear if there were any survivors and about Aliya.  Kendrick, Eddie, Luke, Carter, and I were waiting for dad, mom, Harry, Keith, and Xalen to arrive.  Xalen was our head warrior and had gone with dad when they headed up to the Northern Celestial Pack to find out what the hell happened.  I turn around when they all walked into the room.  Myles has been recovering well but he still has not woken up.  Doctor Branson says that they stabbed him with a silver blade coated in wolfsbane so it is taking some time to get that out of his system. 

“What did you find out dad?”  I asked.

“The attack was unexpected.  No one saw it coming.  From what we could find out from the few survivors was that it happened right after everyone went to bed.  It appears that it was that rogue pack that attack them.  There is nothing left of the pack.”  Xalen states.

“We brought back all the survivors we could find.  I am sorry to say boys but none of your parents survived.  Luke, we found your father and Alpha Craig about half a mile from the packhouse.  It looks like they were trying to force someone to run.  They were on their way back when they were attacked and killed.  From what the trackers and our investigators could tell it appears that they were looking for someone.”  Dad adds.

“Fuck I bet they were looking for Aliya.  I bet that is why they were so far away from the main fight.  They were trying to get her to run and not fight.”  Carter remarks.

“Why would they be after your sister?”  Kendrick asked.

I hear my father growl and I know this is a sensitive subject for him.  I wonder why?

“My sister and I are hybrids.  My father is a wolf but my mother is an angel.  My mother also had fae in her linage.  My sister got the majority of the fae magic but I do have some.  We both have wolves.  My mother was killed in a suspected rogue attack when I was 12 so that would have made Aliya 8.  Aliya was with her when the attack happened.  Mom was able to cast a spell to make Aliya sleep and she hid her near a waterfall on our territory.  Carter and I found her a day later after everything had happened.”  Luke explains.

“I know she blamed herself for her mother's death but we told her that it was not her fault.  She says that if she had been awake she could have used her magic to save her mother.”  Carter adds.

“That attack was planned we just could never figure out who was working with the rogues.  We believe that it was someone inside the pack who wanted your mother and sister.”  Dad comments. 

I ask dad if we have any idea which way Aliya is headed in but he says no.  The trackers apparently lost her trail near the northern part of our border.  This means that she crossed into our territory.  I tell Eddie to let all the patrols know that Luke’s sister is running and that she is most likely on our land.  I also ask Luke if he has a recent picture of her and he pulls one up on his phone and shows us.  Fuck she is beautiful.  He says that it was taken about a month ago.  Aliya is standing between Luke and Carter.  She can’t be more than 5’2” with waist-length pink hair and the most captivating blue-purple coloured eyes.  She is petite but has curves in all the right places. 

“Yvette has tried to get that colour of pink for her hair for years.”  Eddie states.

“That is Aliya’s natural hair colour.  The fae are known to have any shade of hair colour and mom had almost platinum blonde hair.  I just figured that it was a mix of the fae and angel genes that gave her that colour hair.  I was always jealous.  I always wanted fun coloured hair but I guess I got somewhat lucky with my blackish blue hair.”  Luke remarks.  

I ask Luke if it would be alright to send this picture through our link so all the guards will know to be on the lookout for her.  Luke says that he is cool with that and that he hopes we find her soon. 

It has been a week since the attack happened.  We have had sightings of Aliya but no one can pin down her location.  Luke, Carter, and I are at the last known sighting of her and we are seeing if we can figure out which direction she is headed in.  There has also been an increase in rogue sightings since the attack.  We are guessing they are after Aliya.  This makes finding her all the more important.  The three of us had split up and were looking in different directions when the sweetest scent caught my attention.  I followed it to a small cave and peeked inside.  I had to crawl to get in and I barely make it with how wide my shoulders are.  The cave became more spacious once I got into the main part of it.  I could see that someone had been using it as a refuge.  I looked around and found a torn shirt.  I held it up to my nose and it had that same sweet cherry blossom with a hint of vanilla scent on it.

It was the same scent from when I visited the Northern Celestial Pack.  I looked around some more and found a partial picture.  The picture was of Luke.  I was not sure why a picture of him would be in this cave but someone in the picture had pink hair.  But that side of the picture was missing.  I could see a hand in the picture and whoever is it was wearing a very unique ring.  I pulled out my phone and brought up the picture that Luke had sent me and I increased the size.  Well fuck there on Aliya’s finger was that same ring.

I crawl back out of the cave to hear someone laughing.  I look and see a pair of cowboy boots in my line of sight.  I pull myself out all the way and stand up.  Carter is standing there laughing while Luke has a very confused look on his face.  I explain that I caught a scent and it lead me to this cave so I went in.  

“How did you not get stuck getting in or getting out.  I am not sure I would fit through there.”  Luke states.

“Honestly I have no idea but I found this inside,”  I tell him.

I hand him the shirt and the partial picture.  I can tell the moment when they figure out that Aliya was here.  I also can see the moment when Luke figures out that I picked up his sister's scent.

“Aliya is your mate isn’t she?”  Luke asked.

“Yes, I believe so.  I picked up her cherry blossom with a hint of vanilla scent and followed it here.”  I answer.

I am not sure if he is happy that I am his sister’s mate or not.  He does explain that he can’t smell the cherry blossom on her but that his mother always smelled of vanilla.  He says that what he remembers is that his mother's side of the family all smells of vanilla.  I wonder if it is an angel thing.  We look around but find nothing else.  I think I have a feeling that she is headed to the human city.  That would be the best scenario.  I have let both Kayssia and Yvette know what has happened.  They were both pissed and should be on their way back to our pack in the next couple of days.  I drive a little slower than normal hoping to come across Aliya.  Luke and Carter don't make any snarky comments about the speed I am driving at.  I think they are hoping we cross paths with her as well on our way back.  We arrive back at the pack not having come across her.  I look back out at the forest and all I can think about is where she might be right now.
