Eva

I opened my eyes to find myself in a hospital room, surrounded by unfamiliar beeping machines and sterile white walls. My mind was foggy as I tried to sit up, but a sharp pain shot through my head, making me wince. "Where am I?" I whispered, confusion etched on my face.

The door burst open, and my sister, Thelma, rushed in, tears streaming down her face. "Eva, oh my goodness, I was so worried about you! Why didn't you call me to tell me you had been kidnapped?"

I felt a lump form in my throat as I tried to process everything. "How did you know?" I asked, my voice shaking.

Thelma's expression turned angry. "Alpha Lorenzo called me, told me you were here. He said I needed to rush to the hospital right away."

"Oh," I could only mutter.

Thelma sighed, soothing my pale face with her palm, a concerned look on her face. "How are you feeling, Eva?"

I abruptly burst into tears, shaking my head. "I was so scared," I sobbed. "Those men... they beat me, tried to... they were so cruel."
