Alexander's POV...

Having conversations that revolve around personal hurts and betrayal makes my head ache. I had to swallow my pride and plead with Edwina over dinner. She had a point. Just because she has more mind to forgive and let go of grudges doesn't make her foolish or less smart than the rest of us.

I sighed as I flipped through the files on my table. I had decided against retiring to bed immediately, spending some time in the study. Edwina had seemed to have a long day and was too tired to keep up with me after she ate her dinner.
