Chapter Five

The Mackenzie Alpha Hall

Sitting at the head of the table is Radulf, next to him are his Beta and his enforcers while the Alpha's in the south occupied the rest.

"We are gathered here because the vamps have waged war with the wolves in the south. They have been attacking every clan in the south, taking some wolves at random for the use of experiments. These captured wolves are being manipulated by the use of sorcery and torture to attack their fellow Wolves even to the extent of killing their mates." Said the Mackenzie Alpha in an opening speech after taking permission from the Lord Alpha.

"This predicament occurred in the north; many wolves lost their lives including the only Epsilon we've had for the past five centuries. The Epsilon's mind was used to control the wolves in the North into killing one another."

"One of our wolves from the Mackenzie clan, the only Wolf to have escaped the leeches trap made us understand that the Dhjaran Witch is responsible for the sorcery that is manipulating our people. The Dhjaran witch lived for centuries by consuming the blood of the daywalkers Queen. As long as she has not received a bite from her, she remains a witch."

"It was said that the Dhjaran Witch is on a look for an Epsilon Wolf, whose blood is strong enough to be used to control all of the wolves in the south, north, east, and west."

"Our Beta's mate, Sofia, said she saw a vision and so has been called here to relate this vision to us."

The door creaked and in came Sofia. Her eyes first sought her mate, the Beta. He smiled at her to give her assurance because he had experienced firsthand how agitated and disturbed she was after receiving this vision. When he asked her, she didn't say and only said she will relate it all to the gathering of Alphas.

She stood in front of the Lord Alpha, facing the rest of the clan.

Bowing down, she asked the Alpha, "may I be allowed to relate my vision?" Sofia asked the Alphas. At this, they all nodded in approval and beckoned for her to continue.

"In my vision, I saw chaos everywhere. In the center stood a woman whose face was covered. She held two swords, one on the right and one on the left. On the right sword, held the power to control Wolves and on the left sword held the power to control the vampires. She was an Epsilon strong enough to control both vampires and werewolves."

"On her was written salvation and destruction."

"She smelt of Wolf but on opening her mouth, I saw fangs as sharp as that of the leeches." Sofia relayed to the gathering of the Alphas.

There was murmuring and arguments in the Alpha's hall.

The Alpha of the Usobo clan, a clan almost as fierce as the Mackenzie clan and on the far side of the South said she should be found and killed, while the Marja's Alpha (one of the battle fierce Alpha with a clan not too far from the Mackenzie clan and are referred to as the Red wolves because most of the wolves there has a red coat when they turn), argued that the Epsilon can be used to eradicate the Vamps ones and for all.

"That will be all Sofia, thanks for sharing the vision," Radulf said, bringing silence in the hall of Alphas.

Immediately she exited the hall of Alphas.

The Usobo Alpha rose after Sofia had exited, to seek permission to speak.

"Alpha, I request that the Epsilon be found and killed. I have seen firsthand how ruthless these leeches can be. My last son killed his mate in the fight against the leeches in the North because he had no power to fight the hold of the Epsilon. His mating bond was strong at that time, he couldn't survive the separation. I watched my son wither before my own eyes. So if you all love your people, let's find this Epsilon first and get rid of it before the Epsilon is used against us," said the leader of the Usobo clan, gaining the vote of some while others didn't agree.

The Marja Alpha stood up to counter the claim of the Usobo Alpha. After seeking permission from the Alpha, he gave his own part of the reasoning.

"As the vision said, this particular Epsilon has the power to control the vamps also. Imagine a world without vamps in it. If this particular wolf is killed, another will be born." The Alphas were nodding their head in agreement at this statement.

"That means we'll still have to face the same problem again. Our main enemies are the vamps, not our own Epsilon who was given by the gods to help us all. So to the Alphas here, I think we should think deeply and realize who our real enemy is. Thank you." The Marja Alpha sat down after his speech which brought about arguments within the hall. Everyone was trying to voice their own version of a solution.

As the Lord Alpha rose, there was a thick blanket of silence covering the occupants of the hall.

"Our major problem is not with the Epsilon that has yet to be found, the problem at hand is with those wolves that are being captured, killed, or tortured. My Enforcers are here for this purpose." Radulf dictated to the Alphas.

"This vision, about the Epsilon, should not get out of this hall because it will create unnecessary fear among the people. Anyone caught relating this story to another will be properly dealt with by me." He expressed with a threatening tone whilst glaring at them all. The warning was followed by the release of the Alpha vibe, which was strong enough to overwhelm most of the Alphas in the hall.

"All Alphas in this hall should produce their best soldiers by tomorrow, to be trained by the Enforcers in ways to fight the leeches. The remaining soldiers will be placed to guard against the leeches."

"Wolves working in the human world should be on guard at all times. If it cannot be avoided, they should take a leave. I want all the clans in the south to stay in the MacKenzie territory until this situation is taken care of. No one should walk alone - this rule should be announced to all the wolves. Unlike the move that was made in the North, we are going with the attacking move. The vamps have no idea what is coming their way."

With that, the meeting ended with all the Alphas going their separate ways. The Alphas obeyed the Lord Alpha's command by gathering all their soldiers and strong males, preparing them all for the battle to come.
