Chapter 1

John's POV

Full moon was high in the sky, casting its silver light over the small western town Gamia, Where I lived with other members of the pack. As I walked through the deserted streets, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was about to change. 

I was walking through the alleyway, I heard a noise coming from the alleyway, I cautiously approached the alleyway and found a woman sitting there. I was mesmerized by her beauty. She had flowing locks of golden hair, cascading down her back like a waterfall of sunshine. Her eyes were emerald green, sparkling with life and intelligence. Her skin was smooth, with a warm glow that radiated from within. Her lips were full and rosy, begging to be kissed. She was a vision of grace and elegance, with a lithe and athletic build that hinted at her adventurous spirit.

When I got closer I noticed tears were dripping down her face. She was crying and I couldn't figure out why she was crying. At that moment I couldn't help but feel a strong connection to her. I didn't know her name, but I knew that she was important to him. This was love at first sight.Even though I don't believe in Love at first sight.

The previous nights before I came in contact with her I starts to have strange dreams about the girl before we even met. This might be fate leading me to her which indicates a deeper connection between us.

I knew that I should stay away from her, but I couldn't resist her. I introduced myself and offered to walk her home.As I nervously escorted her down the dimly lit alleyway, her soft sobs echoing off the brick walls As we walked,talked and laughed, and I couldn't help but feel like I knew her already. She moved with the confidence of a woman who knows her own worth, and when she smiled, the world seemed to light up. Whilst on our way back to her house, she turned to me and introduced herself as Kate.

My heart skipped a beat, it was the same name from my dreams. She is a human.

I had always followed the pack's strict laws, including one of the laws that prohibited members from falling in love with outsiders. But tonight, everything was different.

I know that my pack would never approve of my relationship with a human, but I couldn't help how I felt.

When she leaned on me for support, I finally mustered the courage to reveal my feelings.

"Kate," I began, my voice trembling. "I know this may not be the ideal place, but I have to tell you something. I like you, and I was wondering if you would like to go on a date with me tomorrow night at that new restaurant downtown?" After saying those words I realized it was awkward.

Kate sniffled and looked up at me, her eyes shining with gratitude. "Yes, John, I would love to," she replied with a small smile.

Overwhelmed with joy, I couldn't help but smile back at her. I felt like I was walking on air as they continued down the alleyway and approached her doorstep. I made a mental note to make their first date unforgettable, a moment she would always cherish.

As I said goodbye to her and watched her walk inside, I felt a sense of happiness and excitement wash over me. I couldn't wait for the next day, to take the first step in what he hoped would be a long and beautiful journey with Kate.

As I watched her disappear into her house, I knew that my life would never be the same again. Am in love with a human, and I didn't know what to do.

I carefully picked out my outfit for the date, wanting to make a good impression on Kate. I decided to wear my favorite navy blue suit, paired with a crisp white shirt and a burgundy tie. I polished my dress shoes and made sure my hair was styled just right.

When I arrived at the restaurant, my eyes landed on Kate, who looked stunning in an emerald green dress that hugged her curves in all the right places. Her hair was styled in loose waves, cascading down her shoulders, and she wore delicate gold earrings that caught the light as she walked. I felt my heart skip a beat as she approached me with a warm smile.

I couldn't believe how lucky I was to have her by my side, and I was determined to make the night unforgettable. We were greeted by the maître d' and shown to our table, where we spent the evening chatting, laughing, and sharing stories over candlelight and a bottle of wine.

During our date, We talked about a wide range of topics, getting to know each other on a deeper level. They talked about their passions, their hobbies, and their dreams for the future.

Kate shared her love for photography and her interest in traveling to new and exotic places, capturing their beauty through her lens. I, in turn, shared my passion for music and my aspirations of becoming a successful singer-songwriter.

We also discussed families, learning about each other's backgrounds and childhoods. Kate spoke fondly of her close-knit siblings,but not so fondly about her father, She revealed to me why she was crying the other night, Kate had been sexually abused by her father every night he abused her, She had to leave the house to a quiet place like the alleyway where I found her. She didn't want to tell anyone about these occurrences because she is scared of what her father might do to her.

I talked about my adventurous spirit and how I often took road trips with my parents when I was younger.

As the night went on, we found that we had a natural ease and comfort with each other, and our conversation flowed effortlessly. We both felt like we could be ourselves around each other, and we enjoyed every moment spent in each other's company.

By the end of the night, we both felt like they had made a deep connection, and we exchanged numbers, promising to see each other again soon. As we said goodbye, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the evening and for the chance to get to know the wonderful person that was Kate.

I realized that this was just the beginning of their journey together, and I couldn't wait for what was to come next.

From that night on, I couldn't stop thinking about Kate. I started to spend more and more time with her, and I found myself falling for her deeper every day. I would often miss pack meetings and stop spending time with other pack members. I know that members of my pack would never approve of my relationship with Kate, but I couldn't help how I felt.

As the days passed, the inner conflict between my love for Kate and my loyalty to the pack became more intense. I started to see my pack's laws as unjust and unfair, but I didn't know how to change them. I was torn between my love for Kate and my duties to the pack. I didn't want to lose either of them, but I knew that it might come to that.

Little did I know that there was a third option, one that I hadn't considered before. And as I discovered this option, I realized that it would change everything not just for me and the pack, but for the entire City as we knew it.
