It had been two days since my return back home. In those 48 hours I had seen my mate only twice, and each time he would be in a hurry to catch the spy. After the doctor had checked on me and ruled out any serious injuries, Jaxon had disappeared. The rest of the pack members were welcoming though. The pups would come along after school and keep me company until evening came.

I was out in the patio enjoying an iced passion juice after lunch when Astra passed by. "You don't look like a person who spent a night out in the hands of a lunatic. You have healed fast, you were looking spent two days ago." That was the first thing she said as she hugged me.
