A week after the whole ordeal, things in the pack finally got back to normal, except for Nova's trial and sentencing, which had been postponed. I had groups of men and she-wolves, teens, and pups visiting me in our home to check up on me. Most were mad that they hadn't killed Daisy themselves. The support from them and the love were overwhelming. Truly, they had become the family that I wished for growing up.

"How are you feeling?" Draven's mom asked as we sat in the trial chambers, awaiting Nova's arrival.

"I don't know," I sighed. "I just feel like she has been punished enough." I spoke truthfully.

"I know my son doesn't agree with you on this." She spoke, taking a break of silence in between.

"He doesn't get why I want her pardoned, despite the fact that she accused him of trying to rape her and later wanted to kill me." I expounded, staring at my hands on my lap.

"But I do; I understand." She said.

"You do?" I was genuinely surprised. I thought no one did.

"Of course.
