"I'll perform a locator spell." Astra suggested.

"Will it work?" I couldn't stand still. I tapped my left foot on the ground, my foot itching under the combat boot I was wearing.

She hesitated, her uncertainty making my wolf howl on the inside. We needed to see our mate before our senses went wild. Both beast and man desperately wanted to lay our eyes on Scarlett. "If she hasn't performed a cloaking spell on herself, then it should work."

There was the word I dreaded hearing at that moment: "ifI glanced at my wrist watch, tilting my head back. "Do it, Astra, find my mate, please." I didn't care whether I sounded desperate or whether my vulnerability was showing.

"I need her hair; there must be a little on her combs." My feet were moving even before my mind could let Astra's words sink. There was a jelly comb in my black SUV that Scarlett loved using. She would complain about her ends getting tangled easily.

"I still insist that she doesn't want to be found, though." I let
