Her full lap was on display, looking tempting. My attention was briefly distracted when I perceived the scent of a member of Thronesman's pack. I scanned the area but didn't find any of his wolves there. No one would be out of their territory without informing me first since I was now heading three major packs. It put me at the top hierarchy of a leading Alpha. Disrespecting protocol meant the wolf in question was looking for trouble. But again, I didn't see anyone.

Skyrael, renowned for its stringent restrictions on entry, was an enclave of elites. The fact that someone had managed to breach its confines surprised me. Perhaps Venita's association with my company had granted her access, or she had an her own charm to navigate the exclusive entry. Whatever the reason, I harbored a distaste for the infiltration of shifters into a place that reeked of their kind. The entanglement with wolves was something I aimed to avoid.
