Next Morning.
Masha fiddled with her nails as she awaited the maidens to finish up with her face. Her heart beat rapidly in her chest, unable to express all the nervousness she felt.
Two servants were in the room with her, while Terra sat on the bed behind her. But at that moment, Terra's presence could only do little to placate her.
She was being primped up to meet with the prince and the mere thought of it was driving her nuts. For Absalom's sake, she never thought she'd ever have to feel so nervous about meeting with someone. How would she cope with the new life forced on her? What if she becomes too depressed and takes her own life?
She clasped her palms together as she let herself drown in her own thoughts. Just then, she heard her door open and glancing from the mirror before her, she discovered it was her brother.
Her eyes dropped to her thighs as she felt him walk in from behind.
"Greetings, Master Kona", Terra and the servants greeted simultaneously.
The young master looked so much like his father. Hence, he had a sting of savagery.
"Greetings to you all", he answered calmly, anyway, his gaze on his sister who still had her head bowed over.
He had been trying to reach her since the previous day, even waited for long in her room but left when she took so long to return. That morning, he had heard from his mother that she'd be meeting with the Prince for the first time. So, he decided it was the best time to come see her.
He pottered toward her and placed a hand on her shoulder. His touch seemed to bring so much relief as Masha lifted her head to look in the mirror.
"Hi", she muttered inaudibly, returning her gaze to her thighs.
"Are you okay?" Kona asked after a brief pause, his hand moving to her neckline.
All Masha did was bob. She couldn't say the lie to herself. Kona drew a deep breath and withdrew his hand from her shoulder.
"I waited for you yesterday, but you never came back" he said.
"I did. You just didn't wait enough", Masha sniffed in nothing.
There was a brief pause.
"I just wanted to talk to you, little sister, not to be afraid of the challenge being thrown at you. You've always been a strong woman and I know you'll definitely survive this. I'm sure of it. So, can you do that for me? Quit the worries and just fight like you've always done". As Kona spoke, Masha looked up at him from the mirror again.
At that moment, she couldn't pick offense at the "little sister" because he indeed, felt like a big brother. For the first time, she was seeing the master in him. Although, he looked so much like their father and may be as strict as he is, but his love for her was genuine.
"Have I ever been a fighter?" She cocked her brows and asked, having a glint of doubt in her eyes.
"Are you talking about the rude daughter of Lord Galadriel?" Kona scoffed. "My sister has always been a fighter, one that would never allow herself be intimidated. Surely, she can survive in the midst of those wolves. I know she can".
Masha shook her head and sighed. A knock at the door drew their attention from the conversation. Masha gestured Terra to check it out and upon opening the door, she discovered it was Lord Galadriel's right-hand man - Vader.
He stood there, tall and intimidating with his face being as strict as ever. He always seemed like one ready for a fight.
"Good morning, Vader", Terra bowed in obeisance, still holding the door open.
But Vader ignored her and penetrated his eyes into the room for Masha. He found her there before the mirror and the two made an eye contact.
"My lady, your father demands your presence in in the guest room", he informed.
As Masha looked at him, she noticed there was a way he ogled at her. It was strange and different. She looked away to calm the raging of her heart, but it was nearly impossible. Her father demands her presence in the guest room. It was obvious, wasn't it? It was time to meet with the Prince.
Her heart raced and her breath came quickly. Kona noticed this and quickly took her hand.
"It's fine. I'll go with you", he heartened her. And holding onto his words of encouragement, Masha got to her feet.
She gave herself one final stare in the mirror, confirming how she looked like a bride-to-be. She couldn't believe her father made the servants do to this to her just to impress the Alpha's son.
Still staring at the mirror, she found the huge Vader goggling at her. A lot of people rumoured how cruel and arrogant he was, but Masha had never experienced it. She broke their eye contact and still holding Kona's hand, they all left the room together.
Vader was in front of them, taking the lead, while Terra was behind with the other servants. As they walked down the hallway, Masha kept imagining how her time with the Prince would be. He had almost knocked her down with his horse the previous day and showed no remorse. Would he show any now they were about to become a couple? Would it even make a difference?
Kona squeezed her hand in his, snapping her out of her reverie. She looked at him and let out a deep breath.
"This... prince Czar", she exhaled. "What do you know about him?"
Kona looked at her and shrugged. "Well...not much. But, just like everyone knows, his mate is dead".
"About that... I thought a wolf can't get married to someone aside his mate?" Masha inquired.
They spoke so lowly, but it was loud enough for everyone around them to hear.
"Yes. But since his mate unfortunately died, he'd have to move on. Although, I heard her body was never found. But she's obviously dead, else, the Alpha would have felt her a long time ago. They all believe she's dead".
There was a brief silence.
"They say he's a great fighter, has a really strong wolf. But he has no regard for anyone. A lot of people consider him their Alpha already because he does majority of his father's responsibilities. And in no time, King Gregory might be handing over to him".
"He hates Vampires", Vader suddenly chipped in. "You're missing that part".
Kona and Masha exchanged awkward glances at each other. At that time, they had gotten to the guest room and stood before the door.
Vader gave r a cranky stare at Masha, a stare of "are you ready", and when she said nothing, he turned the knob and opened the door.
This time around, it was Masha who enclasped Kona's hand in hers as they stepped into the room. The first person she noticed in the neat and cozy room was her father who was laughing from an antecedent conversation. Then, she found the Alpha King sitting adjacent to her father. And finally, the Alpha prince - Czar.
Masha could not explain why her nervousness tripled when she set her eyes on him. It was not like he was looking at her. He was standing in front of the window and gazed outside with his hands crossed at his back. He was adorned in a black robe with a black band tied round his head. And just staring at his back, Masha was able to feel all the nervousness she felt.
"Greetings, Alpha King", Masha and Kona greeted with a bow.
"Greetings to you two. You look lovely, Masha", the King complimented. And while Lord Galadriel beamed, Masha could barely consider it a worthy compliment.
She looked at the prince who was still facing the window and acting like he could not notice them.
"Let's go straight to the point, shall we?" King Gregory drew a deep breath. "Masha, Czar".
Masha looked at him, but Czar didn't make a move. The King had to go on, anyway.
"I am sure we do not need to dally over the issue on ground because by now, we all know our stands. Although...I know it's coming as a big shock to the both of you, but one thing we must have in mind - it's for the best. You may feel offended now, but in the long run, you'll definitely be thankful to us. I know for sure you two will make a wonderful couple".
"We want to carry out the marriage rites as soon as possible. Hence, Lord Galadriel and I have decided to make it tomorrow at noon".
Masha caught her next breath in a startled gasp, her brows furrowed. Tomorrow noon?? Had had she become a toy or something?
"All our families would be present and people from our respective packs. I am sure the goddess will be with us", he concluded and got to his feet.
"Czar, Masha, we'll be giving you two the room for privacy. You can... have a litter talk, get to know each other and ...that should do for now. By evening, both families will have dinner so we can equally get to know more of ourselved. Son, let me know when you're done".
He started toward the door. Lord Galadriel tapped Masha's shoulder and also left with Kona.
Masha looked around and discovered they were the only ones left in the room, just the both of them. He was still facing the window, looking deliberately calm. And the thought of being alone with him spasmed Masha violently.
**************
Lord Galadriel had a fulfilling smile on his lips as he headed to his chamber with Vader. Things were going as planned. Everything.
He was hopeful Masha and the prince would have a good time in the room. He could not wait for them to finally be joined together and begin birthing hybrids. What history they'd make!
"My Lord", Vader suddenly called beside him. "Are you certain about this? Marrying the Lady to the Alpha prince?"
Lord Galadriel arched his brows like he had asked the most absurd question. "Of course, Vader. Why would you of all people even doubt it?"
Vader turned reticent.
"Is there something you're not telling me, Vader?" Galadriel asked suspiciously.
Vader let a few seconds slide before speaking up.
"It's probably not important anymore, but... I thought the lady was too precious and should not be married off carelessly. Lady Masha deserves better, at least, one of her own people. I had interest in her and had plans of telling you before the news of the engagement broke out".
Lord Galadriel stopped walking immediately and so did Vader. He goggled at him, his eyes holding so much amusement.
"You... like my daughter?" There was an echo of ridicule in his voice, but Vader looked pass it and just nodded.
Then, the King scoffed and resumed walking. Shortly, he laughed. He found it funny that his right-hand man had interest in his daughter. Although, Vader was a strong man, protective and powerful, but his looks... He had the most horrific look to Galadriel and he was definitely not the type he'd want for his daughter. How could he even think of such?
Vader studied the Lord's expression and concluded he must be having ridiculous thoughts about him. And to that, he did not know how to react.
They had gotten to the King's door and Vader was about opening it when suddenly, two men came running toward them.
They were guards, but not guards that worked for the Palace. The place they guarded was different. Galadriel and Vader were both surprised upon seeing the men running in such way like they had been chased by their enemies. They shouldn't be there! Not unless there was a problem.
"My Lord...!" They went on their knees when they got close enough.
Vader had stepped away from the door and looked at the men with the same incertitude the King wore on his face.
"Raksha, Dasan, what is going on? Why are you here?" Galadriel demanded peremptorily.
It was unarguably strange that they were there without being summoned. Something was definitely wrong.
"My Lord, we...we have a problem. A very big one", Dasan stuttered, his head bowed in mercy.
Galadriel said nothing, but his entire body language communicated how badly he wanted to hear the next words, even if he felt they were words that might destroy everything.
"It is Jaha!" Edgar declared. "Jaha has escaped!"
Lord Galadriel's fears were confirmed. The words spasmed shivers he had never felt in years. His hand went up to his chest in an attempt to calm his pants, and Vader had to hold him from behind as he feared he might collapse."Let's go in. We shouldn't be having this conversation here", Vader suggested. And supporting Galadriel, they went into the chamber with the guards. Vader had to help Galadriel to a seat before proceeding to pour him some water. The fifty-one years old VampLord was seeming he might suffer from a heart attack. He wouldn't blame him; that was the scariest news anyone could hear. When the water reached him, Galadriel took large gulps and sighed heavily as he slammed the cup on the table."How did this happen?" He got to his feet and asked, his eyes looking all red and furious as he glared at the guards."
When Masha returned to the room, she met Terra who had been waiting the whole time. She had been sitting in front of the mirror but sprang to her feet when Masha walked in. "You're back..." "Father needs to reconsider his decision", Masha cut her off, yanking off her hair band and tossing it to the floor. Terra's face crumpled up, noticing how peeved her friend looked. It was apparent the meeting didn't go down well. "Calm down, Masha. What happened?" She drew closer and inquired. "What else? Prince Czar or whatever he's called is the most arrogant person I've ever had to deal with. You wouldn't believe the words he said to me. And to think father wants us to get married tomorrow", she huffed as she sat on the bed to take off her shoes. "Tomorrow??" Terra nearly yawped. "But that is...too close. You don't even know him yet". "Exactly!" Masha hit her thighs. "I really don't know what's wrong with father. His desperation... I'm beginning to think he has a different motif for
HOURS LATERLuna Eve was in seated in her room, trying to convince Sephora to join them for dinner. Although, Sephora was all dressed up with the intention of joining the dinner, but getting to the Luna's room, she comically changed her mind. "You need to be there, Sephora. Absenting yourself might make it look suspicious", the Luna said to the young mistress who was fiddling with her nails."I...I want to. But it's meant to be a dinner between two families. I'm... I'm not part of the family", she spoke with so much sadness, it echoed in her voice. "Says who?" Eve drew closer to put a hand over her shoulder. "You have and will always be a part of this family. Can't you see? Czar doesn't even want this marriage. And I am so sure it's not going to last. I just...I just have this feeling", Eve was never that patient to others. But for Sephora, it was different. Since the twenty-six years old girl lost her parents at a tender age, she had gotten to love and treat her like her own. She
Masha walked into the dining with her mother, not knowing if she were to feel a little guilty for what transpired back there. Her mother had been a little blunt. But, that was Lady Jade for you - she was never a player of words. In the big dining room, King Gregory, Lord Galadriel, Arabella and Kona were already seated and eating - cheerfully. Masha and her mother simply joined them. And almost immediately, Luna Eve and Sephora entered."The women are always late", King Gregory chaffed - but Arabella was the only one that chuckled."But I came in time, father. Isn't that right?" she beamed."You sure did, dear".Arabella glanced at Kona who was deeply concentrated on his meal. She had been trying so hard to make him notice her, but it wasn't working. She wondered if he actually knew she was there. Nevertheless, she wasn't ready to give up.&nb
************************NEXT MORNING************************Masha could not stop her hands from shaking as she stared down at her clothed thighs. She knew everything was set, the servants were done with her and she looked nothing short of a bride. But the thought of being married frightened her.Few days ago, all she looked forward to was the collaboration party. She never had any thoughts of getting married to a wolf prince and soon to be King.Terra was standing behind her but had lost ideas of encouragements to give to her. Shortly, the door opened with Lady Jade showing up. She was adorned in a long silver-colored dress, her hair styled with beads around and an aura of leadership hovering around her. Indeed, she looked just like the mother of the bride."It's time, Masha", Lady Jade said with a straight face.
The party after the marriage was luxurious. There was so much to eat and so much to drink. But Masha's soul was so troubled, she was hardly eating. All Czar did was drink.Throughout the party, Czar didn't say a word to anyone - and neither did he spare Masha a stare.*******************NEXT MORNING*******************Masha stood before the window, her hands on her waist as she heard the door go open behind her. The reflection of the morning sun resting on her face was nothing short of torture. Although, it was mild and warm, but everything felt like torture on Masha's skin that morning."My lady, your things are fully set and the carriage is ready to go", the servant behind her said.Even with how detached servants were, Masha could still sense the hint of emotion in the servant's voice. She
Even with their fast horses and carriages, it had taken the wolves four days to get to their pack. They camped at night and journeyed during the day. And the whole time, Czar avoided Masha like a plaque. Although, Masha did same. Finally getting to the supreme pack was the biggest relieve for the wolves, but the biggest terror for Masha. Everything smelt like the wolves and she wondered how she'd co-exist with them, being the only vampire. It was already evening and dusk was near. As soon as they alighted their carriages, Czar walked away before anyone else. The king and queen were also alighting theirs while being welcomed by the servants. Masha was befuddled and just stood by her empty carriage, not knowing what to do or where to go. She felt like a slave who had just been bought. Sephora stepped out of her own carriage and noticed how Masha stood confused and rejected. The two ladies maintained eye contact for a while before Sephora finally glared and walked away. Thankfully, t
Alone in the room for so long, Masha decided to take a walk. Although, she hated moving around her strange environment, but she had become so tired of being confined and needed to take some air.She walked carefully along the balconies - carefully like it mattered - and only came across very few servants. Although, they greeted her, but she could hear the echo of irritation in their tone and gesture. No doubt, she was the most hated being there, all thanks to her father. She loved how calm and beautiful the evening was and the cold breeze that fondled her cheeks. The Palace was really beautiful - she wouldn't deny. But the people in it were scary. After walking for some time, down to the last floor, she finally came across a place that pricked her attention the most. It was the palace kitchen! It was in a big open space with various many cooking fire and pots on them. There were a l
Seconds passed, and Masha could still not find her words. She felt trapped in front of him, unable to look away despite how nervous she felt. Czar finally took a step back, his steely gaze on her. "I thought so too." He mumbled and started towards the door. Masha sprang to her feet and ran to him, pulling his wrist just before he'd reach for the door. Czar looked at her and found nothing but deep fear eating her up. Her gaze was on the floor."Y... You don't have to leave." She swallowed hard. "I understand what you want. Ac... Actually, I thought you'd be irritated by me. But...if you're not..." She forced her eyes from the floor to look at him. "... I'd want it as well, my prince. I'd... want to have this experience with you."Czar turned properly to face her. That was when she let go of his wrist and returned her gaze to the floor. "Are you sure?" His voice was low. "You need to be certain you want this, Masha."She nodded nervously, gulping down the lump in her throat. Her h
Masha, Arabella and Kona spent a long time in the guest room, and the whole time, Arabella did most of the talking. She never knew Arabella could actually be so funny. She kept cracking jokes and making Kona laugh enough. When it was night, they decided it was best to leave him to sleep. Masha kissed him goodnight - on the cheek - before leaving with Arabella. "Your brother is so welcoming." Arabella remarked as they walked down the hallway. Her cheeks were all red. "Are you sure? If you ask me, I'd say it was you who was welcoming." She laughed."Huh? That's not true. Don't make it sound like I was throwing myself on him." She puckered her lips. "I hope you're not catching feelings for my brother, dear Arabella. I'll tell you one thing, that guy is a flirt.""That's not true. He doesn't look like one."There was a little silence between them. "Well, I am not catching feelings for him. I am merely being friendly."They got to Arabella's door. "Let's call it a night, Masha. See y
Czar didn't know what had happened before his arrival for the room, but seeing the way Masha and his mother stood apart, and the way Masha's hand was holding her cheek with shock in her eyes, he could easily fix the puzzle. He couldn't comprehend how it made him feel, knowing his mother had laid hands on Masha. Whatever it was, it didn't feel good. Eve shifted her gaze to Czar immediately, trying to get rid of the repugnant look on her face. "Son, you're here. I actually came for you "Masha's hand was already down from her face, but displeasure shadowed her countenance. The queen's slap still hurt, and she felt so much bitterness to know she couldn't retaliate. If it had been anyone else but the queen, Absalom knows she'd have done something about it. Czar noticed how Masha kept her gaze glued to the floor. The part of her face that had been hit had turned crimson already. Anger shadowed her face, she didn't even try to pay homage to him."I need to have a word with you." His vo
Mace stood like a sentinel, his hands clasped behind his back, watching in silence as the Prince drew his bowstring taut. The training field was empty and quiet, and that was because Czar had requested to be alone. His shoulders commanded the space as he extended his arms towards the target. And in a seamless motion, he released the string, sending the arrow perfectly to hit his target which was a wooden board in front of him. He sighed in approval, took another arrow and worked it's way into his bow."The test has been conducted." Mace said suddenly. "And it was positive."Czar didn't spare him a glance, neither did his fingers freeze at any point as he aimed his bow at his target and pulled the string. It went perfectly to the board again."Are you surprised?" He finally asked, taking out another arrow. "Well... I'd bet even you were surprised." Mace chuckled. Czar's face remained cold as he shot at his target again and turned to get another arrow. "Is that the reason you have
Masha's eyelids fluttered open, allowing the soft morning light to gently caress her face. As her mind slowly emerged from the haze of sleep, she began to piece together the fragments of her memory, causing a mix of embarrassment and anxiety to swirl within her. A jagged breath escaped her throat. Holding on tight to the duvet on her, she darted her eyes around the room, and only then did she notice Czar had been there all along. She gasped, taking her eyes away immediately. Suddenly catching sight of him made her heart race faster and her breath come quicker. He was standing in front of his table, dressed in a black flowing robe that touched the door. And the way he linked his hands behind his back gave him a kind of 'bad lord' look. She couldn't look at him. Not anymore. But in that mini second she had looked in his direction, she noticed something else on his table. The table wasn't occupied with books and scripts like it used to. Instead, it was occupied with various meals. T
As Czar's hands closed around hers, Masha's whole body trembled with fear and anxiety. The room seemed to shrink, and no matter how hard she wanted to, she couldn't brace herself for what was about to happen. Czar turned her around so she could back him, and slowly, he loosened her dress and pulled down her sleeves until it was below her shoulders. He gave a momentarily pause, then continued steadily until her full boobs came bouncing out of the dress. A chill ran through Masha. At that point, she was tempted to push him off and just run off, but she wasn't ready for how embarrassing that would be. Czar left the dress to fall freely to her legs, leaving her in her all natural form. It surprised him that she had no underwear. She had really come prepared. Her back was a sight to behold. The curves of her buttocks, firm and mesmerizing, made it so difficult for him to resist to grab them. Her hair, black and glossy, cascaded down her bare back, inviting him in. A beauty she was - h
The darkness enveloped the room, casting shadows that danced along the walls.Czar sat before his study table, his figure bathed in the flickering glow of candlelight. His eyes were fixed on the pages of a book, but his mind wandered far from its words. It's been a very long time since morning, yet Masha was yet to come to the room. He knew she was scared and not ready, but he did not expect her to shy away that much.He tried to concentrate on the book in his hands, but the more he tried, the more the thoughts of her kept messing with his head. It was all his fault. He knew he was making a mistake when he started showing concern.A long time passed, and suddenly he heard approaching footsteps.Strangely, he could recognise the sound of her footsteps like a whisper in the depths of his consciousness. When the door opened and she got revealed, he was almost sure that time had halted. She was adorned in a long black dress, its flowing fabric clinging to her every contour. He recognised
Czar moved with an icy gait into his room, his hands fisted beside him. His mind was a mess, and as he lowered himself on the bed, Mace took a long stare at his face."I cannot believe this," he scoffed. "This is a very big problem, my prince. What do you plan to do about it?"Czar said nothing. He just clasped his palms and gazed into space."There are so many excuses you could have made," Mace went on. "So many lies. Why did it have to be that? A lie so complicated?""That was the fastest lie I could think of," Czar answered, his voice a little rough. "I had no idea my father would never believe me."He rose from the bed, moving to confront the window."Father sounded too sure. I have a feeling he might have been spying on me," Czar added, his piercing eyes gazing out the window."Perhaps. Or maybe he's just very sure that you are not so free with the vampire yet. You know, you make it quite obvious." Mace shrugged."For now, you just need to think of a way to get over this situatio
Czar mixed the treatment in the bowl, and by the time he was done, Masha was still on the bed, fully dressed. He expected Junior to be a little difficult for her, but at that moment, it seemed like he didn't have the time. He dropped the bowl on the table and approached her. "On your feet," he instructed. Masha felt a little intimidated. He looked like he was offended by something. She gulped nervously and forced herself to stand, giving him her back because she knew he wanted to help her with the knots in her dress. Although they had yet to consummate their marriage, it didn't change the fact that he was her husband and had the right to her body. An icy finger cascaded down her spine as she felt him manoeuvre the zipper of her dress. As soon as it was brought down, she supported her dress against her chest, not wanting her boobs to fall out. For a long time, she felt Czar's eyes on her back, and it made her wonder if her injuries were that bad. "On the bed." He moved away from
