ALICIA'S P.O.V

"Are you guys aware that tomorrow Is Halloween day?" Eva said and I turned to her.

"That's right, we almost forgot," Caroline turned around to me. "You will be celebrating with us tomorrow, right?" she asked expectantly and I looked away from her as I saw Tyler who was riding the car staring at me through the rear-view mirror.

"I have nothing to do for the moment, so I will," I answered.

"Great," Caroline replied as she looked forward again.

"We are here," Tyler stopped the ride. We came out of the car and Tyler and Jason bought the tickets as we all entered the park. The place was filled with people, both big and small.

"There, I think we should ride that," Caroline said aloud while pointing towards a rollercoaster ahead and together we joined the people who were also taking that round. We all sat close to each other, Caroline was beside Tyler, while Eva was beside Jason and I was sitting behind them with another young lady by my right side.

MARCUS P.O.V Ever since Alicia left the Island my heart hasn't been at peace, if i say it was, then I was definitely lying. It has been only a day but it was more like a month and I never knew what my parents were thinking. Maybe Harold could be sitting on his chair in hopes that I will do just as he said and Lisa would be worried about me. I knew that my park would come for me but at least they would not be able to hurt Alicia since the rules of my park was that no one dares to leave Catalina island.I pressed my lips more tightly when my body made contact with the sand in the depth of a river. My legs were folded and my arms were on my sides. I was seated inside the waters like a complete monk but I was thinking about her. What could Alicia be doing this evening?"Marcus," I heard my name from the river bank and no doubt I knew that it was Wilfred calling. Couldn't he just stay an hour without searching for me? However, it was definitely because I was their next Alpha.I Lost my po

ALICIA'S P.O.V "You are looking beautiful," Silas said as soon as I walked out of the house dressed in a long blue gown."Thanks," I answered as he looked down at my flat shoes."Hmm.. However there are a few exceptions. Give me a moment," He walked back to his car as he returned with a black and costly hill shoe. "I think you should wear this."No, that's too costly," I shook my head abruptly, but he fit the shoes into my feet anyway, also putting a diamond necklace around my neck."It's perfect now," He said as he stared at me in admiration. Some minutes later we left the house but throughout our ride we never uttered a word but I was deeply curious about what the place we were heading to would look like. The ride took thirty minutes since i had been continuous of the time on wrist watch and finally arrived at his home. We drove past a large and fancy black gate into a decorated compound and ahead was a stunning seven story building and all I could do was stare out through the car w

MARCUS P.O.V It's over, finally I will be leaving Catalina island for good. I hope that my parents will be safe. I hoped that Luther doesn't try anything stupid, I hope that the park will be able to defend my parents fromhim. That noon, I put a few dresses I will be needing into my box as I zipped it up."Marcus," I heard my name behind as I turned to see Wilfred and Ronald standing by the door. I knew that I would miss their company or probably they would be the ones who would miss my presence. We had acted like brothers and had always done things in common, and now I will be leaving them to a completely different territory where I will be vulnerable to attacks.I saw their pale eyes but there was nothing I could do about it."Marcus, you should think this over again. Are you sure you can handle it on your own?" Wilfred asked when I stood up on my feet."Don't worry about me. I will be fine," I answered."Let's come with you. In that way we can ensure your safety," Ronald said and

ALICIA'S P.O.V That evening, I glanced up at the glaring full moon when I arrived at the park with my friends Caroline, Eva, Jason and Tyler. We were all wearing costumes on our normal dresses since it was Halloween. The pleasure park was crowded with people and everyone was having fun. I knew it was exactly how Caroline liked it. Her hands were already swinging in the air some meters away from us where she stood witnessing some group of boys performing on a small stage. Was that even normal in a park? However I guessed that they must have paid for the spot."You all should come over," I noticed Jason waving at us from his stance beside the lane of people heading on for a ride Into the haunted house."Come on Alicia," Tyler said. "Let's go,""No," I said instantly. "There is no way I taking a ride inside that place,"That was the last place I would rather be. I already had a lot of frightening experiences in the past few days and I wasn't going to draw back those moments with the hid

MARCUS P.O.V 'You are no longer my son… Harold please… You will leave the island never to return again and if I set my eyes on you I will destroy you… I will…. Argh…,' My eyes fluttered open, my heart racing as I jerked up. I drifted my gaze around only to realize that I was in a large speed boat and at the peak was an elderly man and a little girl of about ten."Grandpa," The girl called when she had sight on me. The man had rough skin and his face was a bit wrinkled, and I suspected he would be in his late sixties although still as agile as a man in early forties."My name is Morgan and this is my granddaughter Zoey," He said immediately after we were seated on the floor. "I found you, in the forest floor and you weren't In any good state at all, so tell me. What is your name and how come you were there?" I furrowed my eyebrows as I glanced away from the man towards the little girl who was staring into the waters.Despite that I was thrown away by my pack I still couldn't expose

I screamed out shaking my hands with my eyes staring towards the opened window, but it was of no use.No one could hear me, they were all busy with whatever their conversations were. "Help, somebody please…" I screamed until my voice felt faint and I had no more strength to scream.I shook my hands again and I remembered Eddie. How will my poor father be feeling? First was his wife and now me? No, I have to get out.Still struggling, I heard the sound from the large iron door opposite me as I lifted my eyes to see Caroline walk inside with two huge men. Their faces were very frightening and they didn't have a shirt on except for Caroline who was in between."Hello, Alicia," Caroline said aloud as he folded her hand with a pose and all i could do was stare at my friend while she taunted me."Why are you doing this Caroline? MARCUS P.O.V I walked out of the house during sunset to receive some fresh air. Morgan was already in his self contained and Zoey and her mother, Emily were probably inside preparing dinner. I had no clue what Travis could be up to but that wasn't until I heard the door open and I turned to see him walk out with a hunter's gun around his shoulder."Hey," He said immediately he spotted me. "Is there a problem?" "No, I just needed some air," I answered, still staring at his hunters gun and when he noticed I started he asked me If I would like to go hunting with him and I agreed because it was in fact a wonderful idea and soon after we launched into the forest. It wasn't long enough before we spotted our first prey, ahead of us was an antelope hiding behind the foliage of a tree."Shh…" Travis hissed as we hid behind the stem of a tree and with his gun aimed at the target he released the bullet only to get a miss.under the sunset I could see him frown In disappointment and we forged a

"She is the daughter of one of our most prominent detectives, Eddie Lindsey. Have you seen her by any chance?" ALICIA P.O.VIt hurts so much to think I was wrong but it hurts even more to give up trying. I had always fought to have even if it was a moment with my son but now at the verge of losing everything I realized I had made a terrible mistake.I saw his deadly fangs above me; they were ready to rip off my bones. His claws were more painful than anything I had ever felt. I had lost him to the darkness. All these could have been avoided if not for my greed. If I had sacrificed him earlier, I would have been able to save everyone.I was about to take my last breath when I heard a clash. I opened my eyes and Maxwell was off me. I looked sideways to see Marcus struggling to hold him back from getting to me.‘No,’ I thought to myself as I transformed into a human. I struggled on my feet. If anyone had to die while trying to stop him then it would be me.“Maxwell, stop please,” I yelled but my voice ended in a whisper. MARCUS P.O.VFinally it’s time, the dark clouds had covered the sky and it was only thirty minutes before the blood moon rises. We were all in the woods, far deep into the island and as far away as possible from the main city. There were a lot of us. Alicia and I were only standing about ten feet away from Maxwell while Ronald, Wilfred and Flynn were chaining him to the trees. We found the best spot in the forest with the largest trees and we also used multiple large iron chains in hopes that they will be able to hold him until his transformation is complete.I could already see Maxwell’s beastly eyes as he kept glaring at us.“Ronald, hurry up,” I said.“It’s almost ready,” he answered and after a while they both returned to where I was standing.“Max, you have to stay calm, you can do this,” Alicia said.“No, I can’t,” Maxwell replied. “Save me, please… Mom,” he called out.I held her back when she was about to take a step. I looked at Alicia and I could see the huge smile over her face. I could tell that she was enjoying it. I thought I was Maxwell’s favourite but it ended up being her.“Most especially your mother, huh,” I chuckled, then looked back at the stage.“I am grateful that despite the challenges she was tough enough to face it and determined to hold on to me until the end, even if it could have killed her. MARCUS P.O.VI walked inside the building while holding Alicia’s hand. The hall was filled up with both humans and werewolves as rock music filled the air. There was no strange pack present; I made sure that the sentinels never allowed any werewolf from another tribe to venture into the island.Everything was coordinated just like it should be and I trusted my pack to be great at blending in with the humans without causing any arousal, and that was all thanks to my late parents who taught them well.“Marcus, look who showed up,” Alicia said. I looked only to see that it was Katherine. I saw the excitement over Alicia’s face.“Will she be a burden to you?” I asked.“Are you kidding me,” Alicia said with a frown on her face.“Sorry, I was only joking, go on, go and have fun with your friend, I will keep an eye on things,” I said to her.“Okay, please watch Max but don’t spy on him,” she said.“Yes ma’am, but you know that they both mean the same thing…” I was yet to complete my statemen

And not just that, but far stronger than any Luna who had ever ruled beside the Alpha.Looking back from where I am I was grateful for everything that I had gone through.
