MARCUS P.O.V

The winds were still boisterous and without doubt I knew if I were human the snow hood I was in wouldn't be able to prevent me from the cold.

It was still snowing heavily while I ventured into the factory. There was no one there, probably they didn't show up as a result of the forecast that today's weather was going to be intense.

I stuck my hands into my side pocket while I forged ahead. My face was forward but my ears were alert; at least sharp enough to filter the noise of the boisterous wind from the chatter of anything that crossed my part.

Although there was no sight of any visible threat, I was sure I was not alone, I had company and in fact they were numerous. I have not been attacked, rather I have just ventured into the territory of a rival pack.

Strolling all the way forward I picked up my first signal. I was being followed. I knew so well that fighting back wouldn't do me any good because I was at their mercy so I stopped.

ALICIA'S P.O.VFirstly, Silas’s mother called me a stinging red wine. From our conversation earlier it was obvious that she was hiding something from me. Even when I mentioned the name Flynn her eyelashes flickered. There was definitely something wrong and I have to find out what it is. After all, I am the daughter of a cop, so I have to handle this myself.I didn't know I would find myself in this position but I had to keep my eyes on Suzy. I had to find out the truth. That morning it was still snowing boisterously and I was in a cab a few meters away from her house. I was waiting for Suzy to leave the house and when she did I instructed the cab driver to follow her vehicle. We followed her from a distance, the ride seemed unending and the road was unfamiliar. I didn't know such a place existed in California. It was lonely and further away from the city.I watched her vehicle stop before a large estate as she stepped out of the car then walked in through the gate.I paid the cabdrive

MARCUS P.O.V"Marcus, Marcus," I heard Alicia’s voice in my head followed by beautiful sounds of her laughter. I was having the most beautiful dream about her before my eyes opened and I realized I was alone in a small room.Still feeling dizzy I hovered my eyes around at the shelves which were on either side then I glanced at my wrist only to realize that I was currently on drip.My head ached when I made attempts to sit up and the ache was backed up with flashbacks of what had happened to me earlier in the oil factory.Struggling, I gently put my feet on the floor. Sitting upright I heard the screeching sound of the door."Marcus, you are awake," Stiles said barging into the room as he approached the bed where I was seated."What is this place?" I asked."It's an animal clinic. You were badly injured and needed urgent treatment so I brought you here,:"An animal clinic?" I lift my gaze to him with a frown on my face."What is wrong with it? Would you have rather prepared that I went

ALICIA'S P.O.V"What would you like to be offered," I asked Marcus as soon as we walked in. Not getting any feedback I turned to him only to meet his constant stare. "Why are you staring at me that way?""What way?" He returned the question to me then flinched, taking his gaze to the television set."You were giving me the look," I answered."What look?""The kind of look you give to someone when you like them,""Well you should know by now that I love you," He said idly while approaching the television set."Hmm… I guess I won't get used to you saying that anytime soon," I replied. I walked to the fridge as I poured in two glasses of pineapple drink. Walking back to the sitting room I found him seated on a sofa chair with the remote control. The television was on and there was a movie currently playing.Staring at me he tapped the vacant space beside him. I chuckled as I sat by his side and handed him a glass of drink. I leaned my head on his shoulder. This is how I like it. His scen

MARCUS P.O.VWhat is she hiding from me? What is so difficult that she won't tell me? I thought to myself. I left her in the house but I had one person in mind, he was the only Vampire who I knew was close to her."Silas," I whispered the name of my suspect with my eyes fixed on the road. It never mattered if the cab driver knew how upset I was or not.Why now, why will he tempt me now that I am close to asking him for a favour? I thought, frowning my face in anger. Some minutes later the cab driver pulled over in a large field. It was the same field where I was seated the night Silas gave me the bracelet. I came out of the taxi and after paying for the ride I looked ahead and from the distance I spotted him seated on a bench with his gaze at some youths who were playing football."Silas!" I exclaimed while approaching as he turned to me. "Didn't I warn you never to come close to hear again," I said, throwing a punch to his face. The strength of my fist bowed him down and in a split s

MARCUS P.O.V"I also think my parents could be right, especially considering the great disappearance of citizens in the city," Silas said. "However, is that all you wanted to ask me?""Not really. I want to know what your parents said is the easiest way to kill a vampire?" I heard her question him. This was the problem with ignorance, seeing how easily and quick she was to trust him felt like an arrow poked through my heart. She was asking a vampire how to kill his kind. Living ignorantly in a mysterious world was going to get her killed. Maybe she was right when she asked me to turn her into a werewolf, in that way her life will be less at risk.I watched Silas lean his elbow on the table with his eyes fixed on her. "Why do you want to know that?" He asked."I'll explain it to you later on but I need you to tell me if your parents said anything," She answered.Silas stared at her a little longer then sat upright again. "Alicia… Thinking something like that is absurd. Vampires are not

ALICIA'S P.O.VI couldn't believe it. How can I have been this insensitive? I yelled in my head as I cuddled myself by the edge of an empty room. My eyes were on Silas who was trying to keep me calm but that was insane. He was a monster, I had been asking a monster how to kill his kind."Alicia you have to listen to me,""No! Stay away from me!" I yelled at him. There was a little item by my side so when he took another step closer I threw it at him."Help, somebody, help me," I screamed. I should have known better. Marcus was right, I was not ready to face the world of the supernatural all by myself. The world is too big and mortals are often blinded by many things."Alicia, I know you are shocked but I promise not to hurt you,"I furrowed my face immediately after his statement. I couldn't process those words, they sounded real but in reality they were just fables. I can clearly recall that vampires are nothing like werewolves; they feed on human blood. How different is Silas from t

MARCUS P.O.VI could hear the screech of brakes, then the horrible smash of cars colliding. It came so sudden that a wild cold ran through my body. I knew an accident had taken place and I knew the victim was the man who came to my rescue. One problem was dealing with being helpless but even worse was a condition where I'll have to deal with two helpless persons. My vision was failing because of the amount of blood I had already lost. All I could see was the blurry light from the vehicle. I heard a disturbing sound and from that moment I couldn't tell what happened next until I finally blanked out.The next time my eyes opened the first thing I saw was a dazzling white bulb. I could feel my back on a thick mattress. MARCUS P.O.VNo matter what Silas said to me or what his perspective was, my mind was already determined to do accounting to my will. I was going to take away the memory of that night from Stiles."Of what use can he be to me? He is only human and humans like him can't protect me from immortals," I said nevertheless deep down I knew that I could be wrong. Last time he proved his worth. If Stiles had not showed up at the gas factory the rival pack would have killed me."I think you underestimate humans. The strength of humans might not match the strength of immortals like us but they are often dominant. They are not as weak as you think they are," Silas said."How sure are you about that?" I asked."I can tell because I was once a human before I became a vampire. I have seen what they can do. They always manage to thrive. I know many of them can be careless and cruel but if you find a human who has stayed this long without revealing your identity then you must know that human must trul

Alicia, Maxwell and Stiles were also with me.We went upstairs as we walked through a fancy door which opened up to a large and furnished room. There was a large round table at the center of the room and an elderly man was seated on one of the chairs.“Mr. Lucas, your guests have arrived,” the man who brought us in announced.Lucas’ eyes lit the moment he saw us. “Oh, please take a seat,” he said with a cheerful smile on his face and we all did. “This must be your beautiful wife Alicia Lindsey.”“Yes, she is,” I replied then furrowed my eyebrows in uncertainty. “How did you know?” I asked. He lifts his eyebrows. “Well, news flies these days, especially giv

ALICIA P.O.VIt hurts so much to think I was wrong but it hurts even more to give up trying. I had always fought to have even if it was a moment with my son but now at the verge of losing everything I realized I had made a terrible mistake.I saw his deadly fangs above me; they were ready to rip off my bones. His claws were more painful than anything I had ever felt. I had lost him to the darkness. All these could have been avoided if not for my greed. If I had sacrificed him earlier, I would have been able to save everyone.I was about to take my last breath when I heard a clash. I opened my eyes and Maxwell was off me. I looked sideways to see Marcus struggling to hold him back from getting to me.‘No,’ I thought to myself as I transformed into a human. I struggled on my feet. If anyone had to die while trying to stop him then it would be me.“Maxwell, stop please,” I yelled but my voice ended in a whisper. MARCUS P.O.VFinally it’s time, the dark clouds had covered the sky and it was only thirty minutes before the blood moon rises. We were all in the woods, far deep into the island and as far away as possible from the main city. There were a lot of us. Alicia and I were only standing about ten feet away from Maxwell while Ronald, Wilfred and Flynn were chaining him to the trees. We found the best spot in the forest with the largest trees and we also used multiple large iron chains in hopes that they will be able to hold him until his transformation is complete.I could already see Maxwell’s beastly eyes as he kept glaring at us.“Ronald, hurry up,” I said.“It’s almost ready,” he answered and after a while they both returned to where I was standing.“Max, you have to stay calm, you can do this,” Alicia said.“No, I can’t,” Maxwell replied. “Save me, please… Mom,” he called out.I held her back when she was about to take a step. "I need answers, Aracely. Enough of the preamble… tell me what I should expect tomorrow," I said."I have already told you everything you have to know. Tomorrow will crown his fate and the chance he will be good is slim, it might not work so you must be prepared," She replied."No, let me look at it myself," I said."That has never happened since the history of Alpha’s, you cannot use that sacred tool," She said.“It doesn’t matter now. As we all know today is my birthday and I am entirely grateful to all of you for being here but most especially to my awesome parents Mr and Mrs Dominick. They have always stood by me all through, most especially my mother Alicia Dominick…”I heaved a sigh as I closed my eyes in disappointment at the last sentence he made. I looked at Alicia and I could see the huge smile over her face. I could tell that she was enjoying it. I thought I was Maxwell’s favourite but it ended up being her.“Most especially your mother, huh,” I chuckled, then looked back at the stage.“I am grateful that despite the challenges she was tough enough to face it and determined to hold on to me until the end, even if it could have killed her. When everyone gave up on me she persisted. I love you so much mom and I will love you until the end

MARCUS P.O.VI walked inside the building while holding Alicia’s hand. The hall was filled up with both humans and werewolves as rock music filled the air. There was no strange pack present; I made sure that the sentinels never allowed any werewolf from another tribe to venture into the island.Everything was coordinated just like it should be and I trusted my pack to be great at blending in with the humans without causing any arousal, and that was all thanks to my late parents who taught them well.“Marcus, look who showed up,” Alicia said. I looked only to see that it was Katherine. I saw the excitement over Alicia’s face.“Will she be a burden to you?” I asked.“Are you kidding me,” Alicia said with a frown on her face.“Sorry, I was only joking, go on, go and have fun with your friend, I will keep an eye on things,” I said to her.“Okay, please watch Max but don’t spy on him,” she said.“Yes ma’am, but you know that they both mean the same thing…” I was yet to complete my statemen

However, he Still assumed his position as the Alpha of his father's pack.He wasn't the only ruler of the pack since I was ruling beside him. To me it all seemed like a dream. And when speaking of a dream I am talking about the story of a feeble human who fell in love with a charming beast, a mortal chased and hunted by a pack for years was now ruling as Luna of the same pack that tried to kill her.Now the feeble mortal is known as the most revered Luna since the history of the Dominik's pack. And not just that, but far stronger than any Luna who had ever ruled beside the Alpha.Looking back from where I am I was grateful for everything that I had gone through.
