MARCUS P.O.V

"What is the issue?" Ronald asked when he approached me outside.

"I am not cut out for this. I have to take down Luther and that young man in there is getting on my nerves," I said.

Ronald lifted his eyebrows as he looked away from me. "What is worse than a person losing his own sister?"

"I lost both my parents too."

"Yet you are going to take revenge against them but as for this young man, we were the ones who murdered his sister and he doesn't even know about it," Ronald whispered a little upset.

I furrowed my eyebrows in uncertainty. "I thought you said he knows everything."

"I said that so you can let us have things our way," Ronald answered. "He only knows we are connected to what happened that day. He suspects us so for us to reduce his suspicions we had to promise to help him find who murdered his sister."

I ran my hand through my hair as soon as I heard that. It all made sense now.

"You have to trust us on this. We know we have to stop Luther but we must f

MARCUS P.O.V In order to redeem some time we all transformed into a werewolf as he raced heading to the pack cave. It took several minutes and finally we arrived.I shape-shifted back to my human form as I watched from behind the rocks with Wilfred and Ronald. "Things have changed since my last visit here," I whispered, while staring at the few werewolves who were keeping watch at the entrance."Yes, Luther’s rule is terrible. Everyone in the pack knows but no one dared speak against him openly because they were all afraid," Wilfred answered."We can't go in head on, we have to look for a safer passage," Ronald glanced sideways at me."You are right, but this cave doesn't have any safer passageway. We will have to take down the watchers," I replied."How do we do that? Should we kill them?" Ronald asked."No, they are still members of our tribe so all we have to do is knock them out. Luther is the only person I want," I replied."Okay, what's your plan?" Wilfred said."We will have

MARCUS P.O.V I couldn’t believe it. How could they be so foolish to have their own Luna caged in that manner. She was just like their queen and she loved and treated them equally as if they were her own children.'How could they do this to her?' I thought to myself in grief."Are you sad? Well you don't have to be, I would have killed her earlier but seeing her put her hope on you that you were still alive hurt my feelings," Luther said. He waved at the other packs and they dropped the cage returning to their posts."I didn't kill her earlier because I wanted her to watch her only son die. When her last hope is taken away then she will beg for me to take her own life too," He said then burst out laughter."Let's end this here. You and me, let's finish it while we spare the lives of these ones," I said to him.He wagged his head in disagreement. "As much as I would like that, I am not stupid enough to fight you. I will let my pack kill you themselves.""Marcus, run away. You can't fig

MARCUS P.O.V I saw the wide smile on Luther's face. I knew this was what he wanted, to see my father's pack destroyed. He wanted to set up a fight between us and watch us rip ourselves apart.I looked away from his seat to Gaius who was staring at me. I knew he was looking for the perfect time to strike."Go on Marcus, you can stop him," Alicia said.I glanced back at her and by the time I looked forward Gaius was already standing one inch close to me. He threw a punch to my face but to my surprise I didn't even quiver.I saw the shock in his eyes as he tried a second time but this time I caught his fist squashing it in my palm. He yelled as he fell on his knees. When the pack saw this they all quivered in fear. "I am not the same now, Gaius," I said. He punched me severally on my body but there was not a single effect. He tried shape-shifting to set himself loose but it was still impossible. My grip was so strong that he could not break free."I don't want you, all I want is him,"

MARCUS P.O.V“I don’t regret it, I don’t regret doing all I’ve done,” Luther said. “I wish I had done more. I should have killed you when I had the chance.”I watched the lack of remorse in his eyes. It was unfortunate that even in the face of death his heart was still hard as stone.“Do you think that the thing you bore with the catalyst will grow up to become loving and kind? No he won’t. The more he ages the more he discovers the darkness lurking underneath his heart,” Luther added, he chuckled softly then groaned in pain.I watched him for a while. “I know…”“You know nothing, Marcus,” Luther interrupted.“I understand that the darkness will try to cease him as days go by but Alicia and I will be present to lead him. We will nurture him in the right way and instead of bringing doom, our son will bring peace,” I said.“Fantasy…” Luther said, his lips wobbling in an annoying manner while watching me. “We will wait and see how he will turn out. Do you think that I am the only enemy y

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   FACING MY FEARS

MARCUS P.O.VLast night the pack lost their Luna, they were left without anyone to put their hopes on since I have not yet decided to take the place of my father as leader of the pack. I miss her so much, but I couldn’t help but hope that right now she is with Harold.I had just one more thing to confirm. I had to find out my father’s will, I had to find Lucas Wayne and retrieve the briefcase my father left me because only that case will determine if I will take up the position as leader of the pack or not.For the meantime, Flynn and Rina resided still in Catalina Island with Alicia, Maxwell and the rest of my father’s pack. Kelvin was still unconscious but it was certain that he would recover. When the sun came up I left the house with Ronald and Wilfred. We took a vehicle heading back to camp where we left Daniel. Upon our arrival we found him still lying unconscious on the floor.Wilfred and Ronald put him on the chair. “We have three minutes more before he regains consciousness,”

MARCUS P.O.VIt took over an hour before we arrived at the city on Catalina Island. Everyone was having fun as usual. It was unlike what I expected. I expected to hear rumours flying around about the riotous sounds coming from the mountains but from what I can see, it’s evident that the sounds of chaos never crossed to this territory.“We are pretty lucky,” Ronald voiced the thought in my mind. “I can’t imagine what would have happened if they all heard those aggressive and riotous battles which occurred last night.”“Sure,” I said, then looked down at our feet. “Come, we have to change these shoes,” I said. I took them to a cloth shop on the island and I bought a change of dress and also new pairs of shoes for myself and the both of them.We freshened up in a hotel, changed our outfit and afterwards we left to the shore to book a ship heading to California. Luckily there were a few reserved seats so we took the ride. As estimated, it was going to take us an hour before we arrived on

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   COMPLIMENT

ALICIA P.O.VMarcus left earlier today leaving me and Maxwell with Flynn, Rina and the rest of the pack. He said it was important that he retrieves the briefcase his mother told him his father left him before dying. He promised that he would be back before sunset in the evening. There wasn’t much to do at the moment so I helped the pack to arrange the cave. They never wanted me to help but I insisted, it was quite unfortunate that even Maxwell wanted to help them set things up and there was nothing I could do rather than let him do as he please. However I never allowed him to stray away from my sight because even after the battle I cannot entrust him to any one of them.“The boy is more charming than I expected," I heard a bass voice behind me. I turned around and unfortunately it was Gaius."Yes, he does have a charming side," I smiled then turned back to Maxwell who was putting some broken rocks back into the potholes on the wall."I just hope that behind those charms there is a lit

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   INSPIRED BY A STRANGER

MARCUS P.O.VIt was a long ride but finally we arrived at Los Angeles. It felt good to tread on new grounds but it was also terrible to know nothing about the beings that might exist here and if they were friendly or not. However I would rather prefer that Los Angelis was free of any shape-shifters or beings alike.“Marcus, we should get going if you don’t want me to change my mind,” Wilfred said.“I know, hold on let me check the GPS so that we can know which way to go,” I replied, taking out my android phone as I turned it on.“Wait, are you being serious right now. Are you telling me that you have no idea where we are headed before bringing us on this insane trip?”“Calm down Wilfred, this is also my first time treading on these grounds,” I answered.“You have not been here before, not even once?” he exclaimed but thankfully his voice didn’t draw attention since the wind was boisterous.“Come on, what’s the noise all about?” Ronald asked, walking up to us with a little bag pack he

"I've been occupied with other things and I am sure the right time will come." The place was silent for a while. "I'm sorry, I almost forgot how hard it is when viewing the world from your eyes. It must have been dark," Zoey said."It was, but thanks to my parents who gleamed light on me," Maxwell replied. Alicia, Maxwell and Stiles were also with me.We went upstairs as we walked through a fancy door which opened up to a large and furnished room. There was a large round table at the center of the room and an elderly man was seated on one of the chairs.“Mr. Lucas, your guests have arrived,” the man who brought us in announced.Lucas’ eyes lit the moment he saw us. “Oh, please take a seat,” he said with a cheerful smile on his face and we all did. “This must be your beautiful wife Alicia Lindsey.”“Yes, she is,” I replied then furrowed my eyebrows in uncertainty. “How did you know?” I asked. He lifts his eyebrows. “Well, news flies these days, especially giv

ALICIA P.O.VIt hurts so much to think I was wrong but it hurts even more to give up trying. I had always fought to have even if it was a moment with my son but now at the verge of losing everything I realized I had made a terrible mistake.I saw his deadly fangs above me; they were ready to rip off my bones. His claws were more painful than anything I had ever felt. I had lost him to the darkness. All these could have been avoided if not for my greed. If I had sacrificed him earlier, I would have been able to save everyone.I was about to take my last breath when I heard a clash. I opened my eyes and Maxwell was off me. I looked sideways to see Marcus struggling to hold him back from getting to me.‘No,’ I thought to myself as I transformed into a human. I struggled on my feet. If anyone had to die while trying to stop him then it would be me.“Maxwell, stop please,” I yelled but my voice ended in a whisper. While approaching, I watched Maxwell hit Marcus severally until he returned

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   BLOOD MOON; THE DAY WE FEARED

MARCUS P.O.VFinally it’s time, the dark clouds had covered the sky and it was only thirty minutes before the blood moon rises. We were all in the woods, far deep into the island and as far away as possible from the main city. There were a lot of us. Alicia and I were only standing about ten feet away from Maxwell while Ronald, Wilfred and Flynn were chaining him to the trees. We found the best spot in the forest with the largest trees and we also used multiple large iron chains in hopes that they will be able to hold him until his transformation is complete.I could already see Maxwell’s beastly eyes as he kept glaring at us.“Ronald, hurry up,” I said.“It’s almost ready,” he answered and after a while they both returned to where I was standing.“Max, you have to stay calm, you can do this,” Alicia said.“No, I can’t,” Maxwell replied. “Save me, please… Mom,” he called out.I held her back when she was about to take a step. She looked at me and I wagged my head gently."Dad, why are

MARCUS P.O.VNo one has ever done this before and I won't be doing either if the matters at hand were not delicate. Thus time Aracely won't be the one coming to me, I would be meeting her myself."Aracely!" I called as soon as I arrived at her secret grounds."Marcus," I heard her voice behind and I turned to see her standing just three feet away. "What are you doing, you should not be here." "I need answers, Aracely. Enough of the preamble… tell me what I should expect tomorrow," I said."I have already told you everything you have to know. Tomorrow will crown his fate and the chance he will be good is slim, it might not work so you must be prepared," She replied."No, let me look at it myself," I said."That has never happened since the history of Alpha’s, you cannot use that sacred tool," She said.“It doesn’t matter now. If my son falls into the darkness he will destroy you and burn down this place and there will be nothing left…”“Enough! Marcus,” she interrupted me. “You have a

MARCUS P.O.V“Hi everyone, my name is Maxwell Dominick and I am only doing a reintroduction in case of those of you that might have heard of me but never seen me in person. As we all know today is my birthday and I am entirely grateful to all of you for being here but most especially to my awesome parents Mr and Mrs Dominick. They have always stood by me all through, most especially my mother Alicia Dominick…”I heaved a sigh as I closed my eyes in disappointment at the last sentence he made. I looked at Alicia and I could see the huge smile over her face. I could tell that she was enjoying it. I thought I was Maxwell’s favourite but it ended up being her.“Most especially your mother, huh,” I chuckled, then looked back at the stage.“I am grateful that despite the challenges she was tough enough to face it and determined to hold on to me until the end, even if it could have killed her. When everyone gave up on me she persisted. I love you so much mom and I will love you until the end

MARCUS P.O.VI walked inside the building while holding Alicia’s hand. The hall was filled up with both humans and werewolves as rock music filled the air. There was no strange pack present; I made sure that the sentinels never allowed any werewolf from another tribe to venture into the island.Everything was coordinated just like it should be and I trusted my pack to be great at blending in with the humans without causing any arousal, and that was all thanks to my late parents who taught them well.“Marcus, look who showed up,” Alicia said. I looked only to see that it was Katherine. I saw the excitement over Alicia’s face.“Will she be a burden to you?” I asked.“Are you kidding me,” Alicia said with a frown on her face.“Sorry, I was only joking, go on, go and have fun with your friend, I will keep an eye on things,” I said to her.“Okay, please watch Max but don’t spy on him,” she said.“Yes ma’am, but you know that they both mean the same thing…” I was yet to complete my statemen

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   TURNING EIGHTEEN; PART ONE

ALICIA'S P.O.VSix years passed after we reconciled with Meredith and her son Daniel. Even after these six years Marcus had not retrieved the briefcase from Lucas. However, he Still assumed his position as the Alpha of his father's pack.He wasn't the only ruler of the pack since I was ruling beside him. To me it all seemed like a dream. And when speaking of a dream I am talking about the story of a feeble human who fell in love with a charming beast, a mortal chased and hunted by a pack for years was now ruling as Luna of the same pack that tried to kill her.Now the feeble mortal is known as the most revered Luna since the history of the Dominik's pack. And not just that, but far stronger than any Luna who had ever ruled beside the Alpha.Looking back from where I am I was grateful for everything that I had gone through. All my efforts were worth it and even my son, the one they say will doom the world had the most charms than anyone else.I was not only glad to have him but I am al

I couldn’t understand the level of pain the old lady was going through but could only imagine it. Even right now I feel sorry and indebted to her.The dark cloud had already covered the sky when Meredith escorted us out of the house. She wrapped her blanket around her body to protect her from the cold breeze and by the time we arrived at our car she looked down at Maxwell. “Thank you for showing me what you showed me earlier. It felt good to see her face again,” she said to him.“You are welcome ma’am. I know you needed it,” Maxwell replied.Hearing that got me curious but I guessed it was best that I don’t ask. I was okay as long as whatever he showed Meredith made her see things differently.“Guys, I think we have company,” Ronald alarmed us. I looked to see who he was speaking of and from the distance I saw a young man approaching with a bottle of drink in his hand.“Daniel... Ma
