ALICIA P.O.V

It's been hours now since Atluri left the house but until now Marcus hasn't returned any of my calls. Everyone else was back except for Katherine. However I didn’t tell them that Atluri stopped by.

"Where are you Marcus?" I whispered. I walked downstairs to the sitting room and while making my way to the sofa chair, I felt the vibration of my phone.

I checked and It was Eddie so I answered the call.

"Hello Dad," I said.

"Hello Alicia, how are you doing?" he asked.

"I'm okay," I replied.

"Sorry I missed your calls. I had a lot of engagement here. was there something you wanted to tell me?" He asked.

"Nothing serious, I just wanted to know how Marcus is doing. I've also been trying to reach him but he has not been answering my phone calls," I replied.

"Are you serious? It's been hours now since he left the police station," he replied. "Didn’t he stop by?"

"He did," I replied. "Don't worry about it, I'm sure he will be back soon."

I hung up immediately after my comment as I

MARCUS P.O.V"No way, this can't be," I whispered to myself with my eyes on Flynn. I couldn’t believe that I have just lost the most powerful pack member I have. How did this happen? Alicia also had the same look on her eyes. I could tell that none of us expected it to happen. Could it be that Flynn doesn't know what he has done?'No,' I thought, wagging my head slightly. His posture and looks was clear evidence that he knew perfectly well that he would become an Alpha if he slays the pack leader.I walked up to Flynn who was standing before the Alpha’s seat. "What have you done?" I asked. I glanced at the head of the dead Alpha and back again at him. "Flynn, do you know what this means?" "Yes, I do," He replied. "I am now an Alpha," He replied.I threw a punch at him immediately after his comment. The pack were about to attack but he stopped them."Why did you do that?" he asked. He spat the blood from his wound as he looked at me."You are a member of my pack. You were one of us

ALICIA'S P.O.VThis is the first time I am seeing my husband this frightened. It was also frightening to see him this way. Marcus will never fear unless the situation is critical.Who in the world is Wade and why is Marcus afraid of him? I thought to myself."He is coming Alicia, Wade is coming," Marcus said."Who is Wade?" I finally voiced my curiosity."He is my father's elder brother. Harold told me about how brutal they are," He replied."If he is your uncle then why will he want to kill you?" "It's the Wade’s rule," He answered. "My uncle made that rule and it was set as one of the most revered rules in my pack." "What does it say?" "It says that if any of Harold's pack leave Catalina Island they will be eliminated." "If you tell your uncle that you are his nephew then he would spare our lives," I said."No, he won't. After his conflict with my father, he had always desired to kill me, that was what my parents told me…" "But that doesn't make it true," I interrupted."Yes it

  • The Alpha's Catalyst   BATTLE IN MY HOME

MARCUS P.O.V This was what Harold told me his brother looked like. This is Wade's doing; this was his way of attacking his victim. It was the exact setting. How did I forget? I thought to myself.“Brace yourself Alicia, he will be coming inside any moment from now,” I said to her and immediately after my comment we heard the shattering sound of the window glass. I turned on the torchlight of my phone pointing it to the direction where the noise came from. There were broken pieces of glasses on the floor but there was no sight of anyone. While looking around the room we heard another sound coming from upstairs. Alicia zoomed off as soon as she heard the sound. I was about to go after her when someone knocked me off. My body landed hard on the floor. I reached my hand further to grab my phone and just then I saw the figure of a large wolf walking in the shadow. I groaned aloud. I shape-shifted into a werewolf then ran after the figure. Our paws clashed as we threw ourselves to

MARCUS P.O.V“Alicia, no, please listen to me. Run away,” I pleaded with my gaze fixed on my wife who stared at Wade with determination.“Let’s end this here and now,” Alicia said.I watched Wade clench his fist with a cruel smile over his face. He was about to attack when we heard the sound of sirens. I looked towards the road and I saw many police cars approaching. We were all shocked for a while.I looked at Alicia who seemed as shocked as we were. It was obvious that she didn’t call the cops. I didn’t call the cops either so who would have done this? I thought to myself.“Shit!” Wade exclaimed. He glared at Alicia again. “Let’s just say you got lucky this time but we will meet some other time,” he replied. The officers had already ventured into my compound and seeing this, Wade fled with his pack. Seeing they were all gone I stood up on my feet as I went after Alicia.“Are you alright, were you hurt?” I asked while observing her.“I’m fine Marcus,” she replied. Immediately after h

MARCUS P.O.V'He knows, Eddie knows,' I thought to myself, a little troubled while watching his car leave. His last statement left me puzzled. It seemed like he was going to say something to the cops about me but I doubted it. Even though he won't stay quiet because of me, at least he will keep the information a secret for his daughter's sake. Some minutes after he left I saw another car drive in."Alicia," I said in a whisper when I saw her come out of the cab. I hastened to meet her and when we caught up I looked at her arms to ensure she wasn't hurt. "Are you alright?" I asked impatiently."I'm fine Marcus, you should be more worried about yourself," she said. I could see clusters of tears in her eyes when she saw the bruises and patches on my body."Don't worry about me, I'm fine," I replied. "What about our child, how is Maxwell and why isn't he with you?" Tears rolled down her eyes as soon as I asked for our son."What is wrong?" I asked."I'll tell you later on, all you have

MARCUS P.O.VI walked up to my laptop on my bedroom table. I unlocked the computer then opened the minimized windows. “I’ve been doing some research about him for months now and these are the reports I got,” I said.I saw the spread of shock over Alicia’s face while scrolling down the pages. There was undeniable proof that he was dangerous.“Before working as a detective he had been through several other firms, including, heist, secret agencies and many more. Also, he has no record of ever having any parents. The only information I was able to get from his childhood life was that he grew up in an orphanage…” I was still explaining when Alicia stopped me.“Let’s agree that you are right and this man is not who we think he is but I don’t think going through his biography is the right thing to do,” she said.I heaved a sigh. “I understand your point but the reason I am doing this is because sooner or later Atluri is going to find out about us and I have to be prepared when he does,” I no

MARCUS P.O.VI moved away from the doorpost when I saw Atluri making his way out. I ensured that he didn’t see me. I waited until he was gone and afterwards I walked into the room.I saw the feeling of frustration over Eddie's face as he moved over to the bed. He sat down then covered his face with his palms. He was so grieved that he didn’t realize my presence.I observed him for a short while. “Eddie,” I broke the silence and he looked up to me. I expected him to channel those hatred and anger he was feeling to me but the look on his face showed otherwise.“Marcus, how long have you been here?” he asked.“I’ve been here for a while,” I replied. He hissed gently. “How much did you hear?”“A few,” I answered. “You have nothing to worry about because I didn’t let him see me.”“How did he find out?” Eddie asked.“Alicia said he stopped by yesterday. I knew that Atluri wouldn't come for nothing so I searched the house only to find out that someone entered my room and tampered with my stu

MARCUS P.O.V "I don't care, Marcus. I have heard enough, all I want right now is to see my grandchild and ensure that he is safe," Eddie said. "Just take me to my Alicia." "Okay," I replied. I started the vehicle and in a short time we were on our way to my house. While driving I explained a few things to Eddie. He was more concerned with knowing about the pack that attacked us last night since they were the ones most likely to have my child.Letting him know that Wade was my uncle brought out even deeper questions about my background so I told him everything including who my true parents were."Unbelievable, I can't believe that I have been left in the dark all these while. I noticed there was no resemblance between you and Morgan’s family yet I chose to be deceived." "I'm sorry for not letting you know sooner, this was all my fault, your daughter is innocent," I replied."You don't have to defend her like that. Alicia, Maxwell and Stiles were also with me.We went upstairs as we walked through a fancy door which opened up to a large and furnished room. There was a large round table at the center of the room and an elderly man was seated on one of the chairs.“Mr. Lucas, your guests have arrived,” the man who brought us in announced.Lucas’ eyes lit the moment he saw us. “Oh, please take a seat,” he said with a cheerful smile on his face and we all did. “This must be your beautiful wife Alicia Lindsey.”“Yes, she is,” I replied then furrowed my eyebrows in uncertainty. “How did you know?” I asked. He lifts his eyebrows. “Well, news flies these days, especially giv

ALICIA P.O.VIt hurts so much to think I was wrong but it hurts even more to give up trying. I had always fought to have even if it was a moment with my son but now at the verge of losing everything I realized I had made a terrible mistake.I saw his deadly fangs above me; they were ready to rip off my bones. His claws were more painful than anything I had ever felt. I had lost him to the darkness. All these could have been avoided if not for my greed. If I had sacrificed him earlier, I would have been able to save everyone.I was about to take my last breath when I heard a clash. I opened my eyes and Maxwell was off me. I looked sideways to see Marcus struggling to hold him back from getting to me.‘No,’ I thought to myself as I transformed into a human. I struggled on my feet. If anyone had to die while trying to stop him then it would be me.“Maxwell, stop please,” I yelled but my voice ended in a whisper. While approaching, I watched Maxwell hit Marcus severally until he returned

MARCUS P.O.VFinally it’s time, the dark clouds had covered the sky and it was only thirty minutes before the blood moon rises. We were all in the woods, far deep into the island and as far away as possible from the main city. There were a lot of us. Alicia and I were only standing about ten feet away from Maxwell while Ronald, Wilfred and Flynn were chaining him to the trees. We found the best spot in the forest with the largest trees and we also used multiple large iron chains in hopes that they will be able to hold him until his transformation is complete.I could already see Maxwell’s beastly eyes as he kept glaring at us.“Ronald, hurry up,” I said.“It’s almost ready,” he answered and after a while they both returned to where I was standing.“Max, you have to stay calm, you can do this,” Alicia said.“No, I can’t,” Maxwell replied. “Save me, please… Mom,” he called out.I held her back when she was about to take a step. She looked at me and I wagged my head gently."Dad, why are

I called as soon as I arrived at her secret grounds."Marcus," I heard her voice behind and I turned to see her standing just three feet away. "What are you doing, you should not be here." "I need answers, Aracely. Enough of the preamble… tell me what I should expect tomorrow," I said."I have already told you everything you have to know. Tomorrow will crown his fate and the chance he will be good is slim, it might not work so you must be prepared," She replied."No, let me look at it myself," I said."That has never happened since the history of Alpha’s, you cannot use that sacred tool," She said.“It doesn’t matter now. As we all know today is my birthday and I am entirely grateful to all of you for being here but most especially to my awesome parents Mr and Mrs Dominick. They have always stood by me all through, most especially my mother Alicia Dominick…”I heaved a sigh as I closed my eyes in disappointment at the last sentence he made. I looked at Alicia and I could see the huge smile over her face. I could tell that she was enjoying it. I thought I was Maxwell’s favourite but it ended up being her.“Most especially your mother, huh,” I chuckled, then looked back at the stage.“I am grateful that despite the challenges she was tough enough to face it and determined to hold on to me until the end, even if it could have killed her. When everyone gave up on me she persisted. I love you so much mom and I will love you until the end

MARCUS P.O.VI walked inside the building while holding Alicia’s hand. The hall was filled up with both humans and werewolves as rock music filled the air. There was no strange pack present; I made sure that the sentinels never allowed any werewolf from another tribe to venture into the island.Everything was coordinated just like it should be and I trusted my pack to be great at blending in with the humans without causing any arousal, and that was all thanks to my late parents who taught them well.“Marcus, look who showed up,” Alicia said. I looked only to see that it was Katherine. I saw the excitement over Alicia’s face.“Will she be a burden to you?” I asked.“Are you kidding me,” Alicia said with a frown on her face.“Sorry, I was only joking, go on, go and have fun with your friend, I will keep an eye on things,” I said to her.“Okay, please watch Max but don’t spy on him,” she said.“Yes ma’am, but you know that they both mean the same thing…” I was yet to complete my statemen

ALICIA'S P.O.VSix years passed after we reconciled with Meredith and her son Daniel. Even after these six years Marcus had not retrieved the briefcase from Lucas. However, he Still assumed his position as the Alpha of his father's pack.He wasn't the only ruler of the pack since I was ruling beside him. To me it all seemed like a dream. And when speaking of a dream I am talking about the story of a feeble human who fell in love with a charming beast, a mortal chased and hunted by a pack for years was now ruling as Luna of the same pack that tried to kill her.Now the feeble mortal is known as the most revered Luna since the history of the Dominik's pack. And not just that, but far stronger than any Luna who had ever ruled beside the Alpha.Looking back from where I am I was grateful for everything that I had gone through. All my efforts were worth it and even my son, the one they say will doom the world had the most charms than anyone else.I was not only glad to have him but I am al
