Freya's P.O.V

"It's been a while since we came here together." Cameron stated, leaning against his car seat. "I kinda missed it."

"We never really came here 'together', together…" I trailed off, trying to place my thoughts into better words.

"But from now, we will be coming to school, 'together' together, till graduation." Cameron reached out to take my hand and wound our fingers together. "No excuses."

He brought our fingers to lips and placed a feather-light kiss to the back of my hand. "Shall we?"

"Yeah." I took in a deep breath as I nodded.

Cameron got off the car first to come around to the passenger's side so he could open my door, while I took the chance to look at myself properly in the mirror. Sarah had helped me get my hair into shape and it was now a pretty shoulder-length blunt cut that she had curled at the ends to stay in place. I was wearing a pastel green blouse wit

Freya's P.O.V "That's more than a few green faces." Alex observed the surrounding table nonchalantly while eating his sandwich. "Definitely more attention that we got before." "I don't get why people consider green to be the color of jealousy." Sarah huffed. "Green is the color of nature. If nature was jealous, then neither humans, nor any other species in the planet would be able to survive." "Look, I'm not the one who made that connection." Alex glared at her. "Why don't you go find the creator and give them your grumpy attitude?" "What crawled up your ass and died?" Cameron raised eyebrows at Alex. "Cause I can just feel the rainbows shooting out of you this fine afternoon." "I got a call from Derek last night." That made all of our attention snap towards him instantly. "What?" "Apparently, 'training' at that camp is quiet synonymous with

Freya's P.O.V "This is the second time I saw her." I inhaled a shaky breath. "In a mirror…she's always in a mirror…like she's trapped…" "Do you remember anything specific about her, Freya?" Maggie asked while placing a chilled can of coke in my hands. "Anything that may have seemed out of the ordinary?" "Her eyes were bleeding. And she tried to reach for me." I swallowed past the lump in my throat. "It scared the crap out of me and I just…ran." "It's not your fault." Cameron placed his hand on my shoulder in support. "You were scared." I nodded, fighting back the tears that I had been holding back for so long. "What's going on, Maggie?" I turned to ask her. "She had died six years ago, right after my brother was born. I had never seen or felt her presence ever since…but today, when I saw her in that mirror…with blood dripping down her cheeks and she was reaching

Freya's P.O.V "One of the guards told me that there were ravens in the sky; a lot of them." Malaya sighed, rubbing her temples. "The sky seemed to become dark for a few seconds, there were so many of them. And suddenly, the ravens just parted and a man fell from the sky and hit the pavement, hard enough to form cracks. And then he just burst into blue flames and the raven fled as well." Listening to the whole story now, as all of us sat inside the Alpha's office…it sounded even more horrifying then when we had all arrived to find the entire pack in a ruckus. At least then I had been blissfully unaware of the horrors that the others had to witness. Surprisingly, Alpha Charles hadn't been in the pack at the moment that the incident had happened. Both he and his Beta had been out to the ports to check on one of their ships. Malaya had been home but she had been busy attending a meeting with the more submissive members of the pack, who were too afraid

Freya's P.O.V Cameron walked beside me till I reached my room; his brows furrowed and his stance rigid. He seemed like he was deep in thought all this time, even when we parted ways from Darcia and Sarah, who went to the games room to spend some time together. I was getting worried about him by the minute. Cameron might not be showing it, but he was worried too and after hearing about today's incident…it must be even more difficult for him. "Do you want to come inside?" I asked, holding my door open for him. Cameron nodded as he entered quietly. I snuck a peak at Julian's door, which was locked since he had gone over to a friend's house inside the pack, who was holding a sleepover party. He had gotten a hang of the sleepover thing and was now making more friends than ever. It was somewhat of a relief for me since he had missed out on a lot of his childhood because of our father. But just as soon as I had shut the door, Cameron's arms wrapped arou

Cameron's P.O.V It was an offer that I found extremely difficult to resist. Freya, half-naked and writhing beneath me as I held her hands above her head. Oh, how badly I wanted to take her! That single mark on her neck didn't seem enough! I wanted to mark her all over her body, mar her porcelain skin with kisses, and leave my mark all over so no one would ever dream about looking her the wrong way. Freya was everything to me; my heart, my soul, my very source of life. Each day, the need to claim her was driving me mad. I would wake up with a hard-on and then the entire day, I would have to pretend that I could hold on to sanity just a little while longer. But now…Freya was offering herself to me of her own free will. She wanted me to claim her. She wanted me…just as bad as I wanted her! "I can't." I sighed, letting go of her arm as I sat up once again. "You're not eighteen yet and it would feel wrong, Freya. I stole your first kiss…but I wan

Freya's P.O.V "Are you ready for the birthday bash?" Sarah asked me on the way to the parlour room, that was located on the side of the pack-house that belonged to Malaya. She had transformed one of the rooms in her wing to a make-shift saloon and now, it was going to be our changing room before the big party. The day that everyone had been anticipating was finally here. Today was the day that Sarah and I both turned eighteen at midnight. Today was also the day when we broke the seal preventing me from using my magic and I bonded officially with Sarah to become Moon Kissed sisters. But unknown to everyone else…today was also the day that I was planning on losing my virginity to Cameron and him to me. We'd been planning for this day for what felt like ages and there was no way I was letting it get spoilt. "Freya…I know you've been getting down and dirty with Cam, occasionally…but wipe that silly grin off your face please," Sarah gave an involu

Freya's P.O.V Malaya opened the door to reveal Cameron and Darcia, standing outside the door with nervous looks on their faces. Surprisingly, both of them were twinning in black jackets, dress pants and a white shirt underneath. Both of them had also had their hair gelled back to give a sleek look. The instant they laid their eyes on us, their jaws practically hit the ground. I felt breathless as Cameron looked at me from head to toe, his electric blue eyes sparking fire as he took me in. I felt a blush creep up my cheeks at the desire in his eyes. I didn't even realize as one by one, everyone left the room, including Malaya and then it was just the four of us, standing in front of each other. Darcia entered the room first as he extended a hand to Sarah, who took it gracefully with a blush on her cheeks. She gave me a final wave before leaving the room with him, leaving me alone with Cameron. "Nervous?" He asked as he came forward and knelt in fr

Freya's P.O.V "Cameron!" I whispered urgently, looking around the room wide eyed to see if anyone had witnessed our exchange right then. Thankfully, everyone was minding their own business and I was officially safe from further embarrassment. "Yes?" Cameron grinned down at me unashamed. I swatted his hand away from my lips and swallowed the bite of egg that I had taken previously. "You seriously have no remorse!" I glared at him. "Not when it comes to you." His smile stayed the same. "Happy eighteenth birthday." Frowning, I looked towards the wall where there was a large wooden clock to see that it was only eight thirty in the evening. "There's still time." "I know. I just wanted to be the first person to wish you." That statement alone had my heart melting all over again. "Thank you." "Now finish up," he said, pointing to the plate of food. "Th

Lilac's P.O.V It's been a long ride and a very eventful one at that and anytime I think about what Krimson and I have been through, I'm just grateful we had the strength to go through everything we went through and we were able to come out of it even stronger than how we were before. As the sun cast its warm, golden rays across the university campus, I found myself sitting on a bench, the weight of decisions pressing against my chest. The soft whispers of the leaves rustling in the gentle breeze mirrored the conflicted thoughts swirling in my mind. Krimson, my mate, had offered a future tied to our pack, an enticing prospect for many, but not for me. I gazed at the sprawling grounds, feeling a tug in my heart that wasn't just about academic pursuits. The university held promises beyond the textbooks and lectures. It offered freedom—freedom to carve my own identity, to explore knowledge that extended far beyond the boundaries of our pack's traditions. I yearned to brea

Krimson's P.O.V I woke up to the pale light filtering through the hospital room, the faint beeping of monitors sounding in the background. My vision was hazy at first, the events leading up to this moment a jumbled mess in my mind. As I blinked and slowly tried to focus, the first thing that became clear was Lilac's form, peacefully asleep in a chair next to my bed. Relief washed over me as memories flooded back, fragments piecing together into a coherent narrative. "Lilac," I whispered softly, my voice hoarse from disuse. She stirred slightly, a faint flutter of eyelashes against her cheeks, but she remained deep in slumber. The sight of her there, unwavering by my side, despite everything that had transpired, filled me with an inexplicable warmth. I couldn't help but recall the chaos of that night—the confrontation, the whirlwind of emotions, and then the blankness as consciousness slipped away from me. But here I was, waking up to her steadfast presence. It m

Lilac's P.O.V I watched Silver hurl accusations at me, adding to my guilt. I wanted to explain, to make her understand that it wasn't intentional, that the circumstances had shifted beyond my control. But words seemed to desert me in that moment as I grappled with the weight of her accusation. However, Krimson's voice echoed in the room then, commanding even though weak. "Silver, it's not Lilac's fault," he said firmly, his voice carrying the weight of authority. "I made the decision. I took action to protect." Silver's gaze snapped toward Krimson, her eyes filled with disbelief. "What are you saying, Krimson? You hated her, didn't you? Then why would you risk your life to save her?" Krimson shook his head solemnly. "No, Silver. I never hated Lilac, it was our circumstances that I hated. It felt like the Goddess had played a cruel joke on me. But I couldn't run away from a bond fated by the goddess herself, Silver. I had caused Lilac enough pain as it is…I

Lilac's P.O.V I nodded, my mind racing with the urgency of the situation. I moved towards Silver, hoping against hope that all of this worked. "Silver…" I called out to her slowly, making her head snap in my direction. "Please…you need to stop all of this." But Silver's face twisted in a sinister smirk. "It's too late to stop any of this, Lilac. This ends with one of us." "It doesn't have to be that way, Silvia." I shook my head, pleading with her. From the corner of my eyes, I saw Del approaching her steadily from behind her, while I kept on engaging her in conversion. "It does, Lilac." Silver snapped at me, turning her body around so she was facing me completely. "You don't understand-" It was all Del needed, for her to turn away, so that our plan worked. Without wasting a second, he came up behind Silver and wrapped his arms around her body, holding her in place as he took her by surprise

Lilac's P.O.V For a moment, time seemed suspended, the tableau frozen in an eerie stillness. Silver hesitated, her gaze flickering between me and Krimson, the dagger held poised in the air, its lethal purpose momentarily forgotten in the face of Krimson's interruption. "Step away from her, Silver," Krimson's voice cut through the tension, unwavering and authoritative. His stance was firm, commanding obedience without question. The grip of Silver's magic lessened, the pressure easing just enough for me to draw a ragged breath. My muscles protested as I struggled against the binds anew, though I didn't dare to take my eyes off Silver, her expression a maelstrom of conflicting emotions - anger, desperation, and a hint of something I couldn't quite place. "Krimson, you shouldn't be here," Silver's voice wavered, a tremor betraying the turmoil within her. Her grip on the dagger faltered, uncertainty clouding her features. "You know I couldn't stand by and

Lilac's P.O.V The air was thick with tension, a palpable energy that crackled around us like a storm waiting to break. "Silver, you're fooling yourself if you think you can wield that kind of power," I said softly, my gaze fixed on the gleaming knife in her hands. "You're not a true Silver Alpha Breeder, you never will be. You can't ever access my full potential." Silver's laughter cut through the serene air, a sound that held a hint of something darker beneath its surface. "Oh, you have no idea, do you?" Her eyes glinted with an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine. "You underestimate what a witch can do, what I can do. I'm part wolf, part witch. I'm a hybrid that is already stronger than both a wolf and a witch! There's nothing I cannot do, Lilac!" "You think I chose you to lead our pack because of some noble sentiment? No, Lilac." Her voice was cold, devoid of any warmth. "I chose you because I knew the stronger you became, the more that dormant p

Lilac's P.O.V My eyes brimmed with confusion and hurt as I confronted Silver in the dimly lit room I was being held captive in. "Did you…ever really consider me a friend, Silver?" my voice trembled with a mixture of fear and desperation, my heart aching with the weight of betrayal. Silver, her gaze heavy with sorrow and a haunted past, met my eyes. "I used to belong to a peaceful pack, a pack that had been my home since the day I was born," she began, her voice tinged with a raw emotion that spoke volumes of her pain. "We lived in harmony, in unity. It was everything to me." Tears welled up in Silver's eyes, reflecting the agony of memories etched deep within her soul. "Your father," she whispered, the words heavy with anguish. "He... he attacked our pack. In the dead of night, when darkness cloaked the land, he led a brutal assault." I felt my heart ache for the woman that I had once considered my biggest alley, but now, she had turned out to be my bigges

Krimson's P.O.V The night hung heavy around us as we tore through the city streets, the engine's roar mingling with the howling wind. Del and I were on a mission—racing against time to reach Silver's apartment. It was imperative that we find Lilac before anything sinister unfolded. "Alpha Krimson, step on it!" Del's voice cut through the adrenaline-charged air, urgency lacing every word. His grip tightened on the door handle as we swerved through the dimly lit alleys, the neon signs blurring into streaks of color. "I'm pushing it as hard as I can!" I shouted back, my eyes fixed on the road ahead. The weight of worry pressed on me like a leaden cloak. We had to reach Silver's place, and had to find Lilac safe and sound. Finally, screeching to a halt outside Silver's building, we leaped out of the car. Breathless and tense, we dashed up the stairs, each step echoing the pounding of our hearts. As we reached Silver's door, our hopes soared, but a hollow silence gre

Lilac's P.O.V As I slowly arose to consciousness, I found myself grappling with the weight of my heavy eyelids. My mind sluggishly pieced together the fragments of reality, pushing through a dense fog of disorientation. The air felt heavy, each inhale a laborious effort that failed to fill my lungs as it should. A peculiar lightheadedness swept over me, a disconcerting sensation akin to floating on the edge of a dream. My initial attempt to stretch my arms, to move, met an unexpected resistance. Panic flickered through my drowsy mind as the realization hit home—I was restrained. My fingertips brushed against something coarse and unyielding, confirming my fear. The sensation sent a jolt of adrenaline through my groggy state, clearing the haze momentarily. I tried to rise, only to discover the cruel truth of my predicament: bound, not just by ropes or chains, but tied firmly to what appeared to be a marble table. The cool surface pressed against my skin, a s
