DARIUS POV
"They're bringing in the girls," Chase informed me as he walked to stand beside me.Soon, a line of girls in a straightened line began to fill the hall, all wearing seductive dresses and flashing smiles at me.. "Attractive," I thought, but none looked peculiar enough to look like my bride.
They danced for a while, all flashing their breasts and swaying their hips to draw my attention. I alerted Chase in a dry tone to end the dancing as I was bored with it.....
The courtly musicians soon ended the music, and the girls assembled once again in straight lines opposite each other on each side of the wall."The girls have each danced to display themselves and are waiting for you to make your choice, Alpha", the senior nun said in a bow.
I stood up and walked down the hall, looking amongst the girls. None seemed to fit my taste, but a few steps ahead, I turned back at a girl whom I noticed I had not really seen dancing at the hall.
I walked back to take a look at the girl with her long hair covering her face and the dress she was on revealing her thick, tender features.
'How about her?'I asked dryly with a seductive grin as I gazed at the girl. AYLA's POV "Move out of the ugly". Kate pushed me as she made her way to the floor, carrying her head up high. The senior nun was out of sight, so I wouldn't be forced to dance with the others. I stood behind some wooden interior as I watched from a distance.
He sat with a straight face as he watched the ladies dance seductively around, and as expected, Kate was trying so hard to catch his attention, but at that point, he already seemed Uninterested.
"Hey you, shouldn't you be dancing with the others?".The senior nun smacked me on my head as she pushed me out of my hiding.
The girls were done dancing now and were now lined up. oh, was I so glad, I stood om the line with my face down as the Alpha walked towards us.
Already glad he passed without noticing me, I felt a rush of cold blood ran down my spine with the sound of his retracting footsteps.
' Oh No! He can't be coming back! '
' He already walked past me!' I cried from within."You! What is your name?" he spoke in a demanding tone as he stood in front of me.
"That's Ayla, the wolfslayer's Daughter, " the senior Nun answered before I could even mutter a word.
'Oh, no She can't give out my identity like this. I can't let this Crazy Alpha know about me, I cried from disappointment within.
Darius twitched his lips as he asked in amazement, "You mean Morgan and Arnold's daughter?"
"Yes, we found her not too long after her father was set ablaze," she exposed to me more of the Alpha.
"Interesting," he replied with an amazed dry chuckle.
" The wolfslayer's Daughter, huh?"He approached me close, fixing his gaze on me like I was prey he couldn't wait to devour....he lifted my chin with his strong cold hands allowing my fear gazed eyes to meet his, "I believe I have found my bride".
At that point, I could feel my heart stopped for a moment....
'Bride? ' 'What did he mean by that?' 'I can't go with this ruthless Alpha!'A Man I saw earlier with him approached me as he held me by the arm, leading me to a carriage outside.
It occurred to me that I had no choice but to follow him. Yes I heard right; he called me his bride. I couldn't even bear the thought of it, I juggled what else life had in store for me as I sat in the carriage.
DARIUS CASTLE
"Screeches" as sound from from the carriage wheels take a stop at a huge heavy iron-grated gate with a tower by the side.Aylas Pov
As soon as the carriage took a stop, I assumed we had arrived at Darius Castle, I was immediately carried down from the carriage as I looked at the magnificent, overwhelming view of the Castle. A chill wind swooped over my face, swooping my hairs to the side. The aura the Castle emitted was the same as when Darius approached her at the Church."Move, lady!" One of the guards urged me as the gate was lifted by the men in the tower, and we walked in.
They carried me into the Castle, walking down a long hall with different paths by the side leading to other parts of the castle, I guess. The castle walls stood high tall with little numerous windows at the top. They were also carvings of other Alphas, their sword and battle axe on the walls.
After a while we took a turn to the left and arrived at what seemed like a deserted room in the Castle. They opened up the door and threw me in telling me to wait for the Alpha king.
The room was half lit, as a single candle illuminated the whole room. Soon candles from all comers of the room unanimously lit up at the snap of a finger.....at that i knew i was not alone."The slayer's Daughter", a deep voice echoed from a figure i struggled to recognise properly.
'Darius?' I said within myself, as my hands shook on top of the cold floor.
Engulfed with the fear of being alone with a ruthless Man in the room I found it hard to even breathe properly, my hands were sweaty and I sat still on the cold wooden floor.
"Breathe my Darling", his voice echoing within the walls of the room.
"I don't intend to harm you, at least not yet", as a smirk rolled up to his cheek.I knelt stiff on the spot as I could feel his cold aura fill up the room.
"I'm sure I made my intent clear at the church, you will be my bride and also bear me a heir" he said sternly.
I turned at a frown and boiled in anger but dare not say a word.
"Unless you'd rather die like your father or spend the rest of your life in that church attending to Men" , he added.
The thought of my father's death still traumatised me even till then, only the talk of it sent a blood rush of anger and fear into me.
The church wasn't an option too, I was hate there and it wouldn't be long before I get sold out again.A creeking sound came from the door as a Man who looked like a guard but not in the guard clothes walked in. He seemed to be on casual terms with the Alpha.
"You're needed in the meeting chambers, the pack requests we start to plan out for the attack", The Man reported as he walked in not noticing my figure on the floor.
"Oh Lukas, Can't you see that I am with my bride at the moment", he said with a straight face.
"My apologies" ,The Man rendered.
"That's okay Lukas, meet my bride....The wolfslayer's daughter" ,said Darius.
"This is Lukas, my right hand Man" ,he introduced.Lukas looked at me in awe..." you mean Arnold's daughter?"
"Yes indeed, and you will be showing her to her room for tonight, while I meet with the pack now".
Remus Nodded as he led me out of the room back to the long hall again I once passed.
I walked behind him as I observed his figure, he was of a reasonable height but not as tall as the Alpha, he had brown skin and deep black short hair sleeked back to his scalp, his aura was more calmer and safe, he let me down the hall to a room that I assumed was to be my room.
The room has flowers decorated on the door, like it was already awaited for me, opposite was another room which look far different from mine, it had an emerald at the door....looked like a royal lives in it.
"That's one of Darius's chambers" .he said following the direction of my eyes.
I was brought into the room by Lukas and was assigned my own maid.
"This is your room now and this is your maid, she will help you with anything you need and guide you round the palace".He said.
I nodded while he left."Sigh", I looked around the room as the girl stood with her face down.
"I have prepared your bath miss". she spoke as she headed to the bath house.
I thanked her while dismissing her as I could manage on my own from here.
I walked into the warm shower, as I thought about how the day went and how I was surprisingly brought here, retiring to my bed I laid down looking up to the paintings at the ceiling as I found it hard to sleep, but I drifted off later on as the day had consumed up my strength.
AYLA'S POV"Ayla! Ayla, darling. Get up now; we need to go!" my mother yelled at me softly, dragging me up from the floor where I sat playing with the wooden toys she had made for me.'But what of father? aren't we going to wait for him?' I asked as my eyes followed my mother while she walked around our cottage."Ayla, you need to listen now. Bad people are coming, and if we don't leave now, they'll get us", my mother said, holding my arms with a trembling voice.I didn't know who they were; I just knew they were bad, and my father told me I had to always listen to my mother. She packed a little Bag and led me down a flight of stairs through a door I never knew we had on our floor. There she took me into the forest, carried me and ran as fast as she could. She panted heavily while running; the cold air was creeping into her, weakening her with every pace she took. But she didn't stop, Mother was determined to take me away from the bad people....she ran so fast she didn't know when she
AYLA POV.I sat crouched down on the small, uncomfortable bed in the dark room I had been kept in since the previous day.It felt good to finally have some silence. I doubt I even ran into her.As the nun left, all attention turned to me and a no to silent gossip arose and some of them even pointed at me."Isn't that the hunter's daughter?", a lady with blonde hair commented with a sly smirk playing on her lips."What a sad twist. I eventually left the dance room and stood up, my chair scraping the cold tiles as I got up.The few girls who remained in the dining room exchanged looks and laughed."You didn't finish your course, hunter girl," Kate mocked."You don't get much free time and beautiful dresses every day", Lydia chipped in, but I was in no mood for the meal."Or I could just spend your hours for you, too," she said with harsh laughter and shoved me out of the toom while the rest of the girls laughed.I felt tears sting my eyes as my identity played back in my head by an annoying, disembodied voice.'Ayla, the Arnold's daughter.''Hunter girl.'I imagined how it would sound. "You wild child!!" the senior nun screamed as I stood before the panel of nuns.I had my head bowed to the ground, and I swallowed to calm myself down.I had been a nervous wreck since the incident almost an hour ago."How dare you attack an employee of the Church Downtown?""Do you know how huge a crime that is? I brushed my hair again and buttoned my shirt.A knock sounded on my door."Come in," I snarled, and in walked one of the maids with a tray containing my daily breakfast."Your meal, alpha," she drawled with a hint of lust in her voice.'I could use the release right now,' I thought."Put it on the table," I commanded, and she sashayed to the table."Will that be all you need, sir?"I felt the man in my rise, and I suddenly wanted to hurt someone.Thankfully, one presented itself before me.Fannie.The maid who knew how to please me as much as she could."Take off your clothes," I snapped. She gave me a small smile and began to strip slowly."I don't have all day", I snapped at her, and on sensing the edge in my voice, she hurried out of her clothes, and I pulled down my pants."On your knees," I commanded, and she rushed to her knees and took me in her hands."You know what to do"S
