The Skollist pack should have been overjoyed to hear the news of the upcoming heir taking over the pack.

But time had been cruel to the wolves born in this pack. None were jubilant anymore, especially when many had lost their lives in the sudden invasion.

From the looks of the pack, after hearing my pregnancy, they weren't exactly thrilled for the security of their protector.

Perhaps Magellan's words resonated their true feelings more than Varick's obligation to protect them.

If anything, Varick was more… disconnected within the pack and Magellan took advantage of it.
