Walking back into the crowded backyard, I searched for where my mother was. Once I found her, I made my way over to where she stood with daddy, Uncle Nate, Aunt Nicole, Aunt Ambar, and Uncle Kevin. I also saw Elena and Mason looking cozy, much to the displeasure of Uncle Kevin and Erik.
“There’s my baby girl!” mom all but shouted as she pulled me into her arms in a bone-crushing hug.
