Nicholas
Today was the last day of Alpha training and I couldn’t have been any happier. These past 2 years have been grueling, but it was worth it. Gone was the tall and slim boy and in his place was a 6’5 wall of muscle and tattoos. A lot has happened in the 2 years since I have been here. I’ve bulked up due to the rigorous training, got some ink on my skin and a whole lot more knowledge than I had before I came here. My dad was an amazing teacher, but he only taught me so much. Training growing up was tough, but tougher on me as I was the Alpha’s son. I had to do twice as much work as the others and it helped prepare me for what was coming. I stood tall on the stage as everyone was being announced at the ending ceremony. I couldn’t wait for it to be over so I could go back and see my family.
My family. I missed them so much. My mother, the Luna of the Blue River Pack, was the most sincere and down-to-earth person you could meet, and she would do anything for anyone. My father, the Alpha of the Blue River Pack, was as strong as they came and had an amazing soul. Like my mother, my father would put his life on the line for those he cared for. Don’t get me wrong, he was nice and all, but he could be a beast when he needed to be. If you got on his bad side, you would wish you had never met him. I’d like to think I am a mix of them both. I can be polite when needed, but piss me off and it was messing with fire. Few have tried and have found out the hard way. Everyone here was here for one reason and that was to become Alpha of their pack. I made a few allies while here and a few enemies. No matter to me, I wasn’t here to play nice. I was brought from my thoughts when my friend and ally from the Crystal River Pack, Cashton, nudged my shoulder.
“Hey. They are calling you.” He said in a hushed whisper as I shook my head. I focused on the men at the front of the stage and stood.
“Alpha Nicholas, it has been a pleasure and honor to have you here with us. You have come a long way since you have started and will be an amazing ally to any pack as well as an amazing Alpha.” The head of the Alpha training, an elder named Malthe, said as he extended his hand to me.
“It’s been an honor to learn from someone with as much knowledge and power as you.” I took his hand and shook it in a firm handshake.
He nodded to me before I headed back to take my seat while the other went through the same process as me. The ceremony went on for about another hour while everyone was being thanked for coming and all that. I really wasn’t paying attention as Hawk, my wolf, was going crazy in my head.
“What is the matter with you?” I was a bit annoyed he decided to act up now and not after the ceremony.
“I have a feeling.” He said, a bit unsure himself.
“A feeling?
“Like something is going to happen.”
“Good or bad?” I asked. He always had a knack for knowing when things would happen, good or bad.
“I don’t know and that is what is bugging me.” He huffed. “We need to get back home and soon.”
“Why? Everything is fine. I spoke to Mason a few hours ago and he said everything was perfectly fine.”
“After this, we leave. We NEED to get HOME!”
“Fine.”
I groaned as I rolled my neck to get some of the tension out. He was really being a pain, even more so than he usually is.
“You’re not so fun either.” He spat before retreating to the back of my mind.
“Dude, you alright?” Cashton asked again, leaning his head back.
“Yeah.” I sighed as I ran my hand down my face. “Hawk is just freaking out.”
“When was the last time you let him out?”
“Last night before bed. He keeps saying we need to go home, almost like something is happening.”
“Have you spoken to anyone from the pack?”
“I spoke to Mason before the ceremony. He was taking Kenz to the beach.”
“Ah, good ole Mason.” He chuckled. “Wonder how hot Kenzie is now.” I looked over to see a smirk on his face. I couldn’t help the growl that escaped my lips.
“Do not speak about her that way.” I gritted out as I was now fighting with Hawk not to fight Cashton.
“Whoa brother.” He held his hands up in defense. “Didn’t realize you had the hots for her.”
“Never said I did. She’s like a little sister and no man will ever speak like that about her.”
“What about her mate?” He countered.
“Don’t start with me, Cash, or so help me, goddess.” I took a deep breath to calm myself down.
“Consider it dropped.” He mumbled as he crossed his arms and sulked like always. He was a massive player and I felt bad for whoever his mate was. He has had a crush on Kenz for about as long as I can remember, but she never saw him as more than a friend. That little tid bit pissed him off.
We focused our attention back on stage as the last person was being called up. I raised my head to the sky and thanked the goddess for it finally being over. I decided I was going to skip the after party so I could pack and head home. I hurriedly threw all my belongings in my bag and headed out to my 2022 Audi R8 Performance Quattro, throwing my bag on the passenger’s seat. I got in a sped away from the place I called home for two years.
Arriving at the pack, I stopped at the gates just long enough for the guards to see my face.
“Welcome home, Alpha.” one guard nodded as he pushed the button, allowing the big steel gates to open up. I took my time driving as I took in the scenery of my pack and reminisced at all the memories.
As I pulled up to the pack house, I noticed a lot of cars in the driveway and could hear the thumping of loud music coming from the back. I remembered it was graduation, so there must be a graduation party for Kenz and Elena. I parked my car out front and headed up the stairs to the door. I pushed them open and walked through the house. Finding it empty, I made my way to the back of the house. Once I stepped outside and took a deep breath, something caught my attention.
“She’s here!” Hawk went nuts in my head.
“Who?” I asked as I looked around.
“Mate!”
My mate was here. The question was, was she a part of my pack or another? I made my way through the crowd of people in search of that sweet smell. It led me to the side of the pack house where I could hear two people having an argument. I couldn’t make out their voices over the music, but as soon as I turned the corner, my blood boiled at what I saw.
Mackenzie I was still reeling from the revelation my wolf said at graduation. How could I find my mate when I wasn’t even 18 yet? She didn’t say who it was, just that she got a faint whiff of their scent. I was surrounded by dozens of girls and boys, so any one of them could be my mate. I wasn’t opposed to having a she-wolf as a mate, I supported that fully. As we all trickled off the football field, Rose began to settle a bit more. I tried talking to her, but all she did was whimper in my head. I will be 18 in a week, so I should find out who my mate is then. I was brought from my thoughts when Elena nudged me. “You’ve been awfully quiet.” She lowly said to me. We were currently in the back of my parents' SUV on our way back to the pack house for our graduation party. “Hm?” I shook my head, trying to clear my thoughts. “Sorry. Everything just hit me.” I lied. “You know I can tell when you’re lying, right?” I bit my lip, unsure if I should tell her. Only my parents and Mason knew
Beckett It was the morning of graduation and all I could do was pace my room. I was told that everything should be in place by now, yet Kenzie wasn’t showing any signs. I am half tempted to end that useless witch who said the spell she casted would work, but it’s hard when said witch was family. Yes, my mother was half witch on her mother’s side. My grandmother and great-grandmother were powerful witches who were mated to wolfs, Alpha’s to be exact. Now, you would think I was a warlock, a male witch, but I got everything from my father. In my mother’s line, only the females were half witch so that meant, Brittany, my younger sister, was half witch. She has yet to show signs of having powers, so only time will tell. As I kept pacing, my attention was brought to the corner of my room where a light lavender color appeared. “Penny for your thoughts?” I heard my cousin, Trinity, say before she appeared before my eyes. Her mother was lucky enough to be paired with a warlock, so she was a f
Nicholas After making sure all those filthy rouges were taken care of and all pack members were safe, I headed to the cell where we took those, we took captive. I took my time getting there since Hawk was still going crazy in my head. The sweet smell of honeysuckle was engraved in our mind. Once we laid eyes on Kenz, it was game over and Hawk wanted blood. It took everything in me to keep him at bay so as not to attack. I always felt a special pull towards her, but I thought it was just a crush at the time. Growing up, we were always together, since Mason kept a close eye on her and we were always together. He and I were born on the same day and our parents were best friends, despite their rank. My mind kept going back to her beautiful blue eyes that looked deep into my soul. I could tell she was not the same girl I left two years ago and I couldn’t wait to get to know the new Kenz. I was brought from my thoughts when Erik caught up to me. “Mason is
Elena Tonight was the night. The night I would be turning 18 with my best friend and finding my mate. I was hoping to the Goddess above that Mason was my mate. I have had a crush on him forever and it’s not what everyone thinks. No, it was not his looks. It was his personality that I loved the most. He was so kind, caring, gentle, easy to talk to, and always there when he was needed. I was lucky enough to grow up with him. I was happy I got to know him for him. As we got older and our appearances changed, it was a bonus. No longer was the adorable little boy who always stood up for Mack and me. In his place was an amazingly strong and good-looking man. Since he got his wolf, he has become taller, much taller. His hair grew out more and his blue eyes somehow got bluer. Over the years, he added some ink to his skin and that made him look even better. Being a Gamma’s daughter, I was praying the moon goddess would grant me the only wish I had. I wanted Mason to
Nicholas As I was walking through the throng of people, that sweet and intoxicating scent hit my nose. The moment it did, Hawk stirred inside my head. Ever since I came back and her smell hit my senses, I have been hooked on it. I found myself spending a lot more time on the Beta floor with Mason instead of my office. He questioned why and when I told him, I thought he would freak out. To my surprise, he was actually happy it was me who was mated with Kenz and not that other prick. He told me some of what happened, but I had a feeling there was more to it. Kenz was stubborn and wanted to fight her own battles without our help. It all started when she was 12 and Brittany teased her for being weak. Ever since then, she has trained twice as hard, if not more, than any other. I admired that about her, along with how bubbly, caring, and loyal she was. While growing up, I always felt this attraction towards her, but thought it was just from her being young
Mackenzie Walking back into the crowded backyard, I searched for where my mother was. Once I found her, I made my way over to where she stood with daddy, Uncle Nate, Aunt Nicole, Aunt Ambar, and Uncle Kevin. I also saw Elena and Mason looking cozy, much to the displeasure of Uncle Kevin and Erik. “There’s my baby girl!” mom all but shouted as she pulled me into her arms in a bone-crushing hug. “Mom…” I wheezed. “..can’t breathe.” I patted her back as I started to go dizzy from the lack of oxygen. “I can’t believe you’re all grown up.” She sniffled as she pulled away. “A little too grown up.” I heard daddy mumble under his breath. “Vinny!” my mom slapped his arm in shock. I knew daddy wasn’t going to like my dress, but he did allow me to purchase it, kinda. “Daddy.” I pouted, sticking out my bottom lip. “You don’t like my dress.” I faked a cry, cutting him deep. I was a true daddy’s girl. “Princess…I do,
*This chapter is titled after the song “Ride” by SoMo* Nicholas This part was exhausting. The moment I found out Kenz was my mate, I wanted nothing more than to have my face between her thighs. Her sweet smell was arousing, especially after Cash tried to put his hands on her. I knew I shouldn’t have hit him, but he knew how I felt about him wanting to pursue her. I’m sure the hug meant nothing, but I still saw red. Hawk took over before I could think and next thing I knew, Cash was on the ground with a bloody lip. I knew we were still on good terms as he continued to talk and joke throughout the night with me. I followed Kenz around like a lost puppy all night. After a few hours, I was already whipped. Did I care? No. My wolf was in the same boat as me. He was in love with Kenz and Rose already and we hadn’t even mated yet. “Mate is perfect.” Hawk cooed as he gawked at our mate with lovesick eyes. “Of course, she
Beckett “Are you fucking kidding me?!” I roared after hearing what my cousin told me. “Yes, you idiot!” she snapped back. “I told you to do it sooner but, no, you wanted to take your sweet ass time.” She scoffed while rolling her eyes. “You’re so lucky your family.” I muttered as I ran my hands through my hair. No one got away with talking to me like that or rolling their eyes at me. You see, my cousin Trinity is a witch, and a good one at that. She recently perfected her spells and was one of the best witches there was. So, when she came to me with a spell that would get my little firecracker by my side, I was all for it. The only thing was, I needed to act on her 18th birthday and before she found her mate. To my displeasure, she happened to find her mate on her birthday. It was the last person I wanted it to be as well. It was that good for nothing asshole, Nicholas. I hated him to the core and didn’t see what my sister saw in him. Now, I had to hope she didn’t let him mark her
Mason After El and Peyton excused themselves, Erik and I were left with Caius and his Luna. Not too long after that, Luna Willow excused herself from the table as well. I watched Caius for a moment, before turning my attention to Erik. During the whole meal, their interactions seemed off. Normally, one can’t keep their hands off their mate, especially an Alpha. While their story seemed legit, their interactions told a different story. There was a gap between them the whole time, their hands were always visible, and they barely looked at each other. Either she was here against her will or something was not right. “Would you boys care to join me for a drink in my office?” Caius offered, standing from the table. “Sure.” I stood from the table as well, followed by Erik. “I don’t trust this Alpha.” Koa grumbled, coming to the forefront of my mind. “What do you mean, bud? Do you know something?” “If I wasn’t so weak, I would be able to tell.” “Weak?” What did he mean he was ‘weak’? No
Elena With Mack and Nick being busy with her unexpected heat, Mason, Erik, Peyton, and I headed up to the Wild Spirit pack. It wasn’t ideal to show up without your Alpha, but it wasn’t unheard of. The ride was not that long, just about two hours. Everywhere you looked, all you could see was dense foliage and trees as far as the eye could see. It looked serene, but isolated. Our pack was in the forest as well, but we weren’t far from town and had a few parks nearby. Our pack lands were spread out, so we had a variety of things to do. As we neared the gates to their territory, you could see they had everything behind the gates. You could see houses in the fields, a few buildings in the distance, as well as open space for their members to roam in wolf form. Pulling up the long driveway to the packhouse gave way to an amazing view. You could see mountains in the distance along with the tops of trees. The house itself was modest. It was a three-story home with a rustic mountain feel. The
MackenzieThe days flew by faster than I would have liked. Not much happened during the week except for going over finances and making sure everyone was taken care of. I never knew how much Aunt Nicole did or had to endure until I became Luna. I would always see her talking with pack members, helping others out, along with charity work. I only saw a fraction of what she did, and I hope I could be half the Luna she was. It was hard work, but I strived to make things better than before, even if nothing needed fixing. Being the daughter of a Beta, I got to know everyone in the pack. I would always go to meetings with daddy, especially if those meetings involved other pups. I would play with them while daddy did his job to make their family life better. By the time I got to junior high, I knew all the other pups my age in the pack. I made a point to keep in touch with everyone, even if they didn’t have pups. I looked up to Aunt Nicole and my mom.My mom was an amazing woman who loved ever
Nicholas After seeing how well Kenz took her punishment, I decided to test her more when we got home. Once things were smoothed over with her parents and mine, I took her straight to our room where I bound her to the bed. The primal look in her eyes told me she enjoyed this as much as I did. I wanted nothing more than to have her tied to my bed while I fucked her senseless day in and out. Unfortunately, duty called, and I had to cut our time short. Seeing how flushed her skin was, the rise and fall of her chest, I knew my girl was just as kinky as I was. I planned on pulling out all the stops the next time I had her all to myself. Currently, we were all sitting in my office, her on my lap, of course, while Mason and Erik went over patrol reports. We were going over finances from our father's construction company, the two clubs they owned, as well as the new pack project. Everything seemed to be looking good as we stood to make a lot of money off the new pack we were building with Cas
Mackenzie The club atmosphere was not my scene, but you needed to let go and have fun occasionally. I was more of a dive bar girl, preferring to spend my time sitting with friends, making memories, and drinking shitty beer. The food was the best there. Greasy nachos, saucy wings, and the best burgers you’ll ever have. This was only my second time at the club, partying that is. I could see why some love clubs, but it was too crowded for my liking. Even the VIP section was at capacity. I was focusing on my surroundings while trying to have a blast. The liquor was starting to hit hard, since I don’t drink much, so I knew it was time to slow down. Just as I finished my fourth drink, I sensed him before I even smelled him. His aura was out in full force, and I knew I was in deep shit. Trying to ignore the oppressive, I kept dancing with my girls. It wasn’t until I felt hands on my hips that I stopped dancing. “You’re in so much trouble.” His husky voice rasped as his breath fanned my ea
Mackenzie “Are you sure about this?” El asked as I raided my closet for a dress. It’s been a few stressful days of training since Grammy told us we have a month to prepare. She said we wouldn’t necessarily be attacked at that time, but that was when our powers would manifest to their highest. It was imperative we knew how to control them by then, just in case something did happen. “I think it’s a brilliant idea!” Peyton chirped as she fixed the straps to her top. “If they find out, I’m not going down for it.” “Stop being a worry wart.” I shook my head. “I’ll take the blame when they find out. No need to worry out that.” “We’ll only have a few hours. I’m still learning how to make my glamour spell last longer than that.” “That’s all the time we’ll need to have a few drinks and loosen up.” I called over my shoulder. I gave up on looking for a dress, going for a pair of black leather pants and a deep blue halter top. After putting those on, I paired my ensemble with a pair of silv
MackenzieEverything around was so vibrant. I could smell the wildflowers in the field, the crisp water from the lake, along with the fresh scent of dirt. I kept my mind clear while I focused on controlling my emotions. Throughout the morning, I have learned that sadness makes everything seem scrambled, anger makes things hard to remember, while happiness makes everything clearer. I took myself back to all the times I played in the field by the lake as a child. The flowers, the crisp lake air, as well as the scent from the woods. I made most of my memories there as a child with El, Mason, Erik, and Nico. We were all kids back then, but playing tag, hide-n-seek, and all the fun child games made everything better.I opened my eyes to see everyone below me. We were in my office practicing since it was raining out. Peyton and El looked at me in awe, while Grammy looked proud. We'd been at this for hours and I couldn’t seem to keep my focus. Grammy suggested I clear my mind, close off my m
Nicholas“What the fuck do you mean you can’t find her?!” It’s been over an hour since those two douchebags got away and there was still no sign of Kenz or the other girls. We knew they were with Grammy, but no one knew where.“We’re looking everywhere, Alpha. No one saw them leave, so they are here somewhere.” Dutton, one of my top warriors responded. He sounded scared, desperate, and defeated. He was beating himself up over the fact they got away from under his nose.“Son?” I heard mom’s voice from behind me. “What is going on? Why is everyone running around? Did something happen?”“Mom.” I sighed in relief. I was so focused on finding Kenz that it never occurred to me to ask mom. “Have you seen Kenz?” I frantically asked. My chest was heaving from anger and frustration.“Last I saw her, she was in her office with the girls and Mary. Is something wrong Nick?” she placed her hand on my cheek in a motherly way, calming me down.“I haven’t been able to reach her for over an hour, and we
Nicholas It’s been a few days since our visit with Grammy Mary, who insisted that I call her Grammy. She’s been working with Kenz on how to control her emotions, so she can better control her powers. So far, it seems to be working. While they were busy working, I was in my office with Mason and Erik while Cash was on video call. We were going over final preparations for the former Red River territory. As many packs thought that we wiped out the whole pack, we weren’t that savage. Our men were trained not to hurt women, children, or innocent pack members. They were trained to go after those in battle or those who posed a threat. With all that, we had many families that were displaced by the war. We gave them the option to join either the Blue River or Crystal River pack. Some chose to pick a pack while others chose to find another pack willing to take them. I made sure to tell them to mention my name and have that Alpha call for references. I got a few calls from various Alphas, confi
