The next morning, Alston opened his eyes to a light room, the rays of the sun penetrating his eyes directly. His eyebrows went up immediately, wondering how and when all this happened. Closing his eyes again and opening it back, he sat up immediately when his hand hit something. He turned only to widen his eyes as he saw his mother beside him, her butt on the floor with her head resting on the bed, her hand supporting them underneath it.

“What happened?” He thought to himself.

Why was she here? He closed his eyes, squeezing it tightly to remember all the things that happened but he couldn’t get anything. He got down from the bed slowly, noticing how his cloth hung tight to his body. A frown etched his face as he walked up to her and carried her from the floor. As his hand hit the bed, he noticed it was cold making him halt.

“What the hell happened?” He opened his eyes wide as he removed the blanket, dropping his mum on one corner and peeling it off completely.

Back at the priestess pack, a lot was going on, from them arguing on what to do and what not to do, to spouting various words at each other. Sabrina sat on the head of the table, her hand tapping on her chin rapidly.“Stop!” She yelled out, silencing all of them at the exact same time.“Shouting wouldn’t do anything, and arguing would do nothing! Our lives are at stake here, if you keep shouting then there’s nothing we can do.” She added.“So what do you expect us to do now! You expect us to just sit by and watch while a woman flaunts her ability around the pack and we’ll be scared of walking out!” Emma yelled out.“And who exactly is that woman that flaunts her ability all around?” Another voice different from all of the priestess spoke out. They all turned to the voice at the same time, surprise catching Emma on the face as she stood up from the table and faced ashlynn.“So what! You’re the woman, the exact one that doesn’t care about others and her conscience long gone! Yes, you’re

“And how do you know that Ashlynn!” Sabrina asked, fury laced underneath her eyes.“Because it’s magic power. No one is capable of doing magic in the pack!““None that you’re aware of.” Sabrina cut her off.“But that’s the point isn’t it?”Ashlynn asked, turning to look at Sabrina.“No one can do magic in this pack, none that were aware of. So it’s only the child of prophecy that can do something like that.”“Back then when the moon goddess delivered her to us, what was said was that she’ll have dark magic, a kind of magic that’ll destroy the whole pack and make us fear her!” Ashlynn snapped out, her words starting to instill fear into the heart of the people.“And what did we just see? Was it clean or pure one! When would you open your eyes to see that one of your people is dead and this could be the vause!” She yelled at her.“Could..” Alston spoke up, bringing her attention back to him.“We’re not sure of this. We can’t even say if this girl has something to do with it. It’s just i

“Arya..” Alston called out immediately as she walked into the room again.“I felt the same way that night, you have to believe me and I had no idea it would happen to you, if not, I would have come here immediately.” He said.Arya scoffed as she turned to look at him, tears forming in her eyes, staring at him like he was one big bad person that had hurt her heart.“So you’re telling me that, as an alpha, you don’t know all these little things!“ she snapped at him.“Arya, I swear, I had no idea what was wrong with me that night too. I just fell with a pain and woke up only to start hearing stories of what I did the other night.” He stood from the bed and walked slowly to her.“Okay.” She said, sniffing him and walking to the other side of the bed before he could meet up with her.“You’re still mad at me.” He sighed.“Of course I am! I didn’t sign up for all of these! I don’t know why all of these is happening to me! Why!” She cried out.The tears fell down slowly from her eyes as she l

Every step Alston took towards his car was like a blessing in disguise. Turning to catch Arya's face, standing in front of her window and smiling at him. He wishes he could try to bond with her, but he hasn’t marked her yet and he was sure she wouldn’t be able to feel it if he did that.Leaning on his car, and turning to look at Arya. He smiled at her, she didn’t the same, returning it also with a wave of her hand. He nudged his forehead to tell her to close it, but still she didn’t reply to him. He sighed, smiling to himself as he got in. He couldn’t believe it, and he was sure Zachariah wouldn’t believe it too. He had a girlfriend, all his life he was not a fan of girls, the only thing he did about them was just have sex and let them go.But with Arya he was different, he wanted to be with her, eve

The next morning, Ashlynn was already awake. She didn’t know what was coming next for her but she couldn’t get a good night's sleep. Laying in her bed all night, her eyes wide open, the issue of killing the priestess has baffled her greatly. She hasn’t gotten the reaction she wanted from the alpha, he had just overlooked it, like he didn’t believe it. The pack was wide awake now, and she felt like she needed to do something about it. She needed to make him believe, and strengthen the anchor of the pack. Her mind won’t be at rest unless the girl has been found. She needed them to release people to the human world and she could go and find her. They had to find her, they needed to, because she wouldn't stand still while the daughter of her dead sister roamed around the world freely. She clenched her jaw, pacing back and forth her room, until she heard a small knock, pulling her out of her reverie.“Who’s there?” She called out.“Mummy..” her little baby voice sounded.Rushing to the doo

“The Alpha would be here anytime soon, and we need to practice because we’ll be going on a hunt today. Work on your scent! Your eyesight and the ability to control your wolf from not shifting anyhow in the human world!” Zachariah yelled out.The warriors of the pack growled, each of them pairing together as they started to work on the part that he had called out. He walked a bit away from the training yard, trying to mind link Alston and finding where he was but couldn’t get it. Could he have gone to Arya place early this morning?Without telling him or telling anyone? He sighed as he walked back to where the warriors were training,“Your back straight, arms to the front. Always know the position you want to be, either defense or attack, always know that.” He corrected a pair, moving forward to the next pair. One of them shifted to their wolf forms, springing into the forest. As he turned back to sit down, his eyes caught sight of Alston mum, making his heart skip a beat. As she walke

Alston changed his clothes in his penthouse, coming out back to meet the maids outside talking again. His eyes scanned for the one that served him the other day, not seeing her there, he knew immediately it was his mothers work. And the other maid that had brought her mother was just fumbling when her mother really didn’t find anything, according to what her mother said too.“Your highness.” They all bowed and greeted each other.Giving them a quick nod, he walked out of the house, going straight to the pack field again. Zachariah was there with 10 other warriors, conversing God knows what between each other.“Your highness.” They all greeted each other. He nodded at them again, scanning each and everyone of them one after the other.“You don’t need the pads. Change into something more comfortable.” He said to one of them. The warrior bowed before scurrying off, leaving Alston to continue scanning the rest of them. After making sure they could blend in with the human world, they await

Anger still brewed in him as he walked around looking for somewhere to wash his hands. He came across a student as he walked back,“Where can I get water?” He asked, panting heavily. The girl gulped down, her eyes in shock as she stared at his hand.“Oh..O…ove…over the..” she stuttered, her eyes still on his fist as she pointed in the right direction.Alston's eyes darted to the place, seeing a tap there before walking away from the girl. He rushed over there, washing his hand as fast as he could, wiping all the blood away before walking back to where the rest of his pack were.“Where did you go?” Zachariah was the first to ask.“I went to settle scores with someone.” He replied.“You beat him up that you have blood on your cloth?” Zachariah asked, his brows furrowed as he looked at Alston.Looking at his cloth, Alston flexed

After making rounds and checking everywhere of the pack, Arya's mind was at ease at how she was welcomed amidst them all. She smiled to herself as she laid back on the bed, thinking about the little kids she saw and how happy they were when they saw Alston.Once she thought a world like this never existed, until the world turned out to be hers and she kept on enjoying it. She smiled in her pajamas, rolling back and forth with a lot of thoughts going on in her head.“Arya…. I’m ready.” Alston called out as he walked out of the bathroom. They were going to her house to pack her clothes, if not, she would soon be walking naked in the pack.“You know, I can just keep on wearing your clothes, we don’t have to do this.” Arya called out.“We’ll, we have to. The way you’re stealing my clothes is now quite alarming.” He replied to her, rolling his eyes at her as he walked out of the room.Arya fumbled out of the bed, muttering some incoherent words to herself as she stomped her foot on the flo

“Aren’t you ready?” Alston called out for the umpteenth time. After proposing to Arya and alerting the whole pack about it. Arya had begged him to release the elders since they didn’t know anything about it but not after giving them an earful of instructions. The priestess that were involved in mapping out her mothers death were demoted, stripping them off their titles and making them ordinary maids of the pack while the others were also released.Mrs jenkins and mr jenkins moved back to the human world. Mrs Jenkins was never a fan of being confined to a single pack, and so left immediately after giving Alston a handful of instructions.Alston wanted to take Arya through the pack, show her every nook and cranny of it and yet she was taking the whole day to dress up, or the maids were doing so.“I’m done.” He heard her say as he turned his back to look at her.His eyes roamed her body, his wolf growling underneath him as he begged to rip that dress off her. Arya and Camilla walked a lot of miles through the pack, things were still bubbly, probably because they just left the square not too long ago, Camilla said. Taking her to different places in the pack, and showing her different things of their pack, Arya enjoyed the walk that she didn’t want to leave, and yet her sole purpose of walking still became a void in her heart.By the time they returned home, everywhere was dark already, and eerily silent.“The alpha asked you to sleep in his room, I’ll lead you there.” Camilla said, bowing as she walked in front.Arya smiled to herself, following her gently and quietly as they arrived at the front of a big room.“Good night, your highness.” She said, walking away fast as she could before Arya could even say anything.Arya shrugged her shoulders as she opened the room, her eyes dazed at the sight in front of her. She smiled at the thought of the flowers Alston brought to her the other day, so he was a keeper of flowers himself.“He must have

Throw her in the fire!” The people of the pack yelled out, making him clench his jaw. They never did the fire killing, they never killed people with fire in the pack. But since they found it as a nice option to kill his mate, he had helped them, while they had to take the first death, it has become something he was going to take up.“Your highness, please, please. Do not do this! This isn’t a wise choice.”She pleaded on top of her voice, tears dropping down her face and falling like the ocean.“Please. It was Zachariah and one other guard that matched to where ashlynn was placed and brought her out.The bell had been rung for all the pack to know that there was an emergency already, all of them hurrying towards the square and forming a circle, waiting for anything that was to come. The elders and priestess were thrown in the middle of the circle as they brought them out one after the other. Alston appeared after a while, he had sent a guard to Mrs jenkins and mr jenkins, asking them to come to the square if they could come but also not leaving Arya alone in the house.“The reason why we called this meeting here is because the real perpetrator has been caught and now we can all fully rest and be fully aware that my mate is not the child of prophecy.
