Chapter Seventy One

Alston and Zachariah returned to the pack, a new wave of energy bubbling inside of Alston.

“Good night.” He said to Zachariah, shifting to his wolf form and running towards his penthouse.

Now he was going to be able to feel everything of her, when she’s in pain, happy, laughing. He was finally going to be able to do that. His lips curled up as he got to the entrance of his penthouse, knocking on the door as a foreboding feeling washed over him. Why does it look like something was about to happen?

The guards opened the door and he saw his mother pacing back and forth in the room.

“Mother..” he called out with scrunched brows.

She turned to him with a worried expression, making the lines on his forehead cut deeper as he rushed to her. Enveloping her into a hug, the both of them stayed like that for a while before he finally walked her to a chair.

“What’s wrong?” He asked.

“Nothing. Nothing.” She replied almost immediately, refusing to seat down as she hugged him again.
