Chapter Forty Nine

Arya was shocked for a while, her brain circling round her statement as she stared into his eyes. She gulped down, her fingers playing on his chest as she looked down.

“What did you say?” She murmured out.

“I love you Srya. More than you can ever imagine, and I’m always going to protect you, even if it comes with my life.” He repeated, leaning in and placing a kiss on her forehead.

Arya couldn’t say anything for a while. She was shocked, amazed and any other word that could be used to describe the unexpected. She didn’t expect he'd say that, nor was she looking forward to it. And it warmed her heart that he didn’t even like her because she was his mate, but because of her. She didn’t know if she was ready to say it back to him, or if he would be angry if she didn’t say it back.
