Three days after my triumph in the healer's trial, I found myself once again standing before the Council of Elders. The circular chamber felt more imposing than ever, the air thick with anticipation.
Akira, the Pack Historian, was the first to speak. Her iron-gray braids seemed to bristle as she fixed me with a stern gaze. "Luna Lyra, you have surprised us with your... unexpected success in the healer's trial."
