Lavender's POV

The Restrictor clicked as it was wrapped around my upper arm. I had seen something like this in movies, and only once in real life. It was almost identical to the ones convicts are made to put on to ensure that they do not try to run away. I never thought in a billion years that I would be placed in a position similar to that. Since I was quiet, and was ready to be calm, Alpha Toot called in a guard who put on the Restrictor on me.

I was not happy with any of the things happening, and no matter how calm I was, I was not planning on hiding my discomfort. I hated all of this. I hated that I was being treated like a criminal. I hated that I was being trapped here. I hated that I was threatened. I wanted to cry, but that was not going to take me anywhere. Instead, it was going to make me weak.

Alpha Toot nodded as he saw the Restrictor glow around my arm. “Release the chains,” he instructed then handed over the keys to the guard who took it carefully. He was so diligent tha

Lavender's POVBlood was everywhere in the room. My mother was chained to the ground, with blood underneath her. She had bruises on some parts of her body. I never expected to see her this way. She looked weak. She looked like she had been starved, and beaten. She was not her usual bright self. I was not too sure if it was being in the same pack that brought so much pain to her or the injuries on her body that made her look like this. She looked battered. My heart instantly ached for her. I caused this. I need to know what happened to my mother. I had no idea how she got here but if not for me, she would not have. My mother has gone through so much all because of me. For hours, I had heard the screams, and the noises but I had no idea what it was.I did not know that my mother was here and going through all of this. I couldn't help but blame myself. Despite the beatings, she refused to stop. She refused to be quiet. She wanted her child. I rushed over to her with quick steps before fal

Lavender's POVI watched as Grey pulled the body away from the hallway so as not to attract anyone to that place. My mind went to what he did. Why did he wink at me? It was strange since I never had any sort of relationship with him. In fact, we are not even close. I do not hate him because I just met him, and there was no reason to hate on him when he had not done anything wrong. However, that action still seemed weird to me since we were not close. My mind was beginning to get to certain places that it was not supposed to visit so I immediately pushed it aside. I wanted to believe I was overthinking it and needed to concentrate on things that were more important. The main thing at the moment is to visit my mother, and that was it.I darted my eyes around the hallway again to confirm if there was anyone watching me. Luckily, there was no one including Grey which was good. I approached the door with caution, and did not fail to continue checking. Once the coast was clear, I turned the

Lavender's POVNo matter how much i tried to be comfortable, my body just couldn't relax. Even on the softest bed, I couldn't shake off the feeling of restlessness. Its something about the human body never being relax when you're in a terrible situation. That's exactly how I feel at the moment. I was made to lay on a bed during the night but it always felt like I was lying on wood with no foam. The temperature would mostly shift from cold to hot, and then cold again. It was exhausting turning and huffing every now, and then. My mind was not at ease with my situation, and my dreams relayed it very well to me. Early the next morning, I heard the door open, and just as I was about to open my eyes, I heard Alpha Toot's voice. “I got you some gifts”.I rubbed my eyes as I sat up to see the maids, and guards walk into the room with boxes in hand. They kept trooping in, and out of the room. This instantly reminded me of Caramel. He showered me with gifts every day, without fail. I had no i

Lavender's POVThe ray of hope I thought I had quickly disappeared before my eyes. I shut my eyes as the door came for my face with a huge wind, and a bang. It missed my face by only a centimeter. My heart fell to the ground. So it was true. I would not be able to leave the building so long as this Restrictor was around my arm. I thought I could do it. I thought this was the time to finally find an escape route.I thought I would finally meet Caramel again. We have been separated for too long, and I miss him so much. I knew he was out there trying to get to me, and I had to help him by escaping this place, and making it easier. But the route I thought I had, was shut. I didn't know what to do. I could feel my eyes welling up.“Seems you want to be punished.” I heard Alpha Toot's voice behind me, and I tilted my head to the side over my shoulder to look at him with blurry eyesight due to the tears that had covered my eyes. In a minute, two guards approached me then picked me up by the

Alpha Toot's POVThat sick girl! I wanted to strangle her. I was angry. I was raging inside of me. I wanted to burn down everything, and anything. I wanted to tear everyone apart, and I wanted to start with that little brat. She was annoying. It had been a while since I got this angry but Lavender found a way to bring it up on the surface. She was a mad human.Everyone knew not to mess with me whenever I was in this state or else they will feel my wrath, and they knew how deadly that could be especially when it was not them who caused me to get angry in the first place but managed to make me angrier, and irritated. The servants moved away from the way as I walked past and stood still with their heads bowed. They knew not to make any stupid movements too. I was in no mood for stupid things. The meeting I had scheduled for today did not go as planned. I was expecting someone crucial to come, but the person did not arrive. Had stayed in the meeting room for a long time after passing the

Lavender's POVIt has been a few days since my last attempt to leave this place. It has been hellish. I was stuck in this room without being able to move around due to what I had done. Alpha Toot didn't show up, and put at least three guards in front of the room, and the door was constantly locked unless I was being brought food or the plates were being taken out. I was still put in dresses that were uncomfortable for me but I could not leave the room. It was always essential that I ate, and I was dressed properly.I had no idea why that was so, and I could not speak with the maids because they did not look like people who would want to answer my questions. They were different from me so I could not build any sort of bond between any of them, and I knew that was the plan of my so-called father. Wheneve I complained, and refused to eat, I would be threatened instead of spoken to. It was hard to live like this. This is how prisoners were treated. However, they committed a crime, and I d

Lavender's POVI judged too quickly. Alpha Toot was not fed up with the pretence. He had just taken a break the previous day because now I was seated on my bed, while five maids stood in front of me with an open jewelry box. Apparently, I am to pick one from them. I do not care about the jewelry, and I do not want jewelry. If I pick one definitely, I would no longer have a free neck because I would have to put it on constantly.I was already dealing with heavy gowns, so I will not be forced to put on jewelry too every day. The maids stood there diligently as she waited for me to pick one of them. The jewelry was beautiful, and if it were under different circumstances, I would have quickly picked it but right now I was not in the mood for that. Alpha Toot on the other hand had a strange smile on his face. It was unusual from the one I was used to. It had much more mystery. “Pick dear,” he said, and I wanted to laugh.I did not have to be told that my so-called father was not affectiona

Lavender's POVA brand new day, and I was placed before the mirror again to be dressed up. Despite it being hours since I spoke with Alpha Toot, I could not get his words out of my mind. When I was thinking about it or was trying to push it out of my mind, it kept replaying in my mind, and I hated every bit of it. Worse, I could not take my eyes off my neck. As though they wanted to torture me, they made me put on a dress that was off-shoulder so I could always see my neck.A part of me believed if I was put in a cloth that covered my neck, my mind would be calm. That did not happen, and would not happen even if I asked for it. I really wanted to stop thinking about it. I was reading too much meaning to it. I knew Alpha Caramel had not marked me but I did not let that define us in any way. Just because I was not marked does not mean I was not his wife. He always called me his wife, so I believed I was his wife, and he was my husband. I knew marking was essential when it came to werew

Lavender's POV Grey scared me for a moment there. He only wanted to inform me that his coronation ceremony was going to be happening in 3 days. Since he was the sole heir of Alpha Toot, he was obliged to take over, as a pack required an alpha at all times. Without a leader, the pack would become vulnerable to other Alphas seeking to assert their power. According to him, it was the fastest way to get me to listen to what he was saying. I had to help him go shopping for the things he would meet during and after the coronation. There were a few things he already had an idea of, but others Alpha Caramel helped him with it. Alpha Caramel was a great help and in no time, I was watching the councils of Midnight Pack crown my brother as the new Alpha of Midnight Pack. “This is the new Alpha of the Midnight pack,” the council announced, and a guard rushed in and whispered something into Grey's ears. His mood dropped, but then it became that of nonchalance before he nodded at the guard, w

Lavender's POVThis was exactly the way I wanted it to be. Surrounded by people I love while I walk towards the love of my life. Everyone had smiling faces, and they were all in support of the gathering, and the Union about to happen. I was dressed in a dress that I wanted to put on, and not because I was forced to put it on. My makeup and the style of my hair were duly discussed with me, and I loved every bit of it. My mother, my father, Delilah, Grey, and the people, were all in support of my union with Alpha Caramel. They all had smiles on their faces. Mum looked like she was about to cry. My family was with me, and I was filled with so much joy, and satisfaction to be here walking down the aisle to meet him. The one person that has shown me what love is about. Alpha Caramel has showered me with so much love that I could barely explain it to anyone. I did not mind falling in love with him over, and over again throughout my lifetime. He stood at the altar, putting on a sky-blue tux

  • The Alpha's Arranged Bride   Chapter 98

Alpha Caramel's POV I was surprised to hear this. I knew the answers I was giving Lavender concerning if the people had accepted her, and would accept her as the Luna of the pack. The issue was I did not care if they accepted her or not at this point because their reasons for rejecting her were not valid according to what I think. They loved her before they realized that Alpha Toot had made some stupid pronouncement that made it seem like she was not eligible to be the Luna of the pack. Since the last time I spoke with the council, I never again had any meeting with them. They were important aspects of the pack but due to their nonchalance, and demeaning words, I could not trust them to help me get Lavender back as I felt they would try to frustrate every effort I put into the plans to get her. I was sure they were more than aware of this. I was not planning on trying to convince them or giving them reasons why Lavender was the best candidate for the position. Just the fact that I

  • The Alpha's Arranged Bride   Chapter 97

Lavender's POVI walked into the ward staring at Alpha Caramel who had his eyes closed. It has been two days since the war. He woke up a day after and was left to stay in the hospital so he could be monitored. The wolf's bane has not been completely expelled from his system and would take some time before that happens. I was glad that at least he was better. I took out the flask which I brought with me to the hospital so he would eat. “Caramel,” I called him softly. He opened his eyes and turned to me with a smile. “My love,” he said which made my cheeks turn red. He took my hand and then placed a kiss on the back of my palm. “You look beautiful today,” he complimented. Ever since you woke up, he had been complimenting me. He always complimented me but this was a little too much because, at every slight opportunity, he does it.“You look handsome as usual.” Now I helped him sit up. “You need to eat. Mum said you need to eat so that you'll be able to take your drugs.” I told him.

  • The Alpha's Arranged Bride   Chapter 96

Lavender's POV“Caramel!” I yelled at the top of my lungs as the arrow entered his body. The effect of the wolf's bane acted immediately. He groaned, and transformed back to his human form, holding the side of his stomach where the arrow was. He tried standing up, but he fell back almost immediately. The Alpha rogue was walking towards him with a sly smile. I could already tell that you wanted to kill Caramel. I ran as fast as I could but I was too far from where he was. The person that was close to him was the Alpha rogue. He was walking in measured steps but I knew he would get to him before I could. This realization made me cry. They wanted to kill him. They wanted to kill my husband. I didn't want that to happen. I could not allow that to happen. I want to save him. I need to save him. “Please moon goddess, don't let them take him from me. Please.” I said as I shut my eyes, trying to wipe off the tears. The Alpha rogue got close to Alpha Caramel. “No,” I yelled, and the next sec

  • The Alpha's Arranged Bride   Chapter 95

Lavender's POVThe Alpha Rogue held my wrist very tight as he pulled me out of the hall. I had no idea where he was taking me, and I did not want to go anywhere he was taking me to. I wanted to go to Alpha Caramel. It had been so long, and finally he was here. I had waited for him for a very long time, and he was here now. I wanted to go to him because I knew that he was here for me. He waged this war because he wanted to get me back. I was scared, and I needed to be with Caramel but the alpha rogue did not listen to me, and kept pulling me. No matter how many times I told him that it was hurting me he refused to listen to me. He kept on with what he was doing, and soon we were out of the hall. A part of me wanted to scream but then the thought that I might alert Alpha Toot came to mind, and I decided to keep quiet. I kept asking where he was taking me to but he refused to give me any reply. Not long, and we were on the battlefield. I kept looking around trying to find Caramel so h

  • The Alpha's Arranged Bride   Chapter 94

Alpha Caramel's POV My heart instantly fell to the ground at this. Lavender's eyes were wide open as she watched the arrow come for her chest. I quickly ran forward to be able to stop it even though at the back of my mind I knew I would not be able to get to her in time before the arrow went into her body. Just before the arrow could get into her body, someone rushed forward and slapped it to the ground in time. I heaved a sigh of relief at this. I had no idea who this person was, and I had never seen him in my pack so I did not believe he was part of us. I was more than grateful to him either way for saving my wife from the arrow which I had thrown. “Grey,” I heard Lavender mutter which made me know the person's name. It seemed that they knew each other. Staring at the boy a bit longer, I realized that he had some resemblance with Alpha Toot. I always knew that Alpha Toot had a child, but I had never met him before. I was not too sure about his motive since he was his father's chil

  • The Alpha's Arranged Bride   Chapter 93

Alpha Caramel's POV The day for the attack finally came, and everyone was more than prepared for it. We were not too sure what to expect, but we kept our minds open to anything that might happen. The spies that were sent had not reported back to us, and it was a little worrying. We were going in blind because we had a proper picture of what we were entering into. I spoke to everyone, giving them the strength to go with me and win this war. We were going to save my wife and crown her the Luna of the pack because that was what she deserved. My mother was very worried for me. She did not state it outrightly but from her body expression, and how much she kept telling me to take care of myself, and ensure that I am fully protected, told me all I needed to know. I assured her that I was going to come back. She nodded at my words but was not fully convinced. She knew that when it came to war no one could tell if they would win or not. However, she was once a seer of the pack. Once I was a

Lavender's POV It was finally the day for my supposed mating ceremony. I was meant to have escaped the previous day but here I was seated before the dressing table I had gotten used to, being dolled up as usual. I was dressed up in a much heavier dress, and heavy makeup with jewelry that I hated. The Restrictor was not placed on my arm but I knew I could not run away. My mother was back in her room with a gun to her head. If I tried anything fishy, then she was going to be shot instantly. I did not want that for her, and I was going to behave so long as they were not going to kill her. I really wished that we would have successfully escaped from here but the universe was not on my side. Everything I did to escape from this place seems to have been void in One Way or another. I knew this was not my fate, and I did not want to accept it. However, what could I do? I could no longer fight it. I can't run away. My mother's life was on the line, and if I did anything stupid, I could get h
