“I think she's lying to us,” I said to Liam the moment I walked into the office. He was sitting by the window, a ball perched between his fingers rolling from side to side. I could tell I had interrupted his thought process.

“Who?” He asked, turning his face in my direction.

“Emma.”

“Why did you say so?” He sat up, interest flickering across his eyes.

I sat down on my desk and swerved the chair until I was facing him. We were in my study at the packhouse. I looked around, taking in the fire burning in that hearth. Liam must have ordered one of the Omegas to stoke it. “The other night at the club she mentioned something about it. More like saying she had a confession.”
