Chapter 60

I mentally face-palmed myself for not taking off my clothes first but decided to think about it later.

With my snout high in the air, I howled and that was when I realized how much I'd missed shifting.

I walked towards the lake and for a moment, my breath seized.

Instead of the shiny brown that my wolf used to be, my fur was now a silver color that shone brightly under the sun.

Silver wolfs were very rare and there were a lot of myths about them but nothing seemed out of the ordinary about my wolf asides how weak she was.

I stared at my reflection in the clear water for a while before Nyx whipped around and took off towards the woods.

Her paws hit the ground and raised dirt on the way.

Her speed wasn't so fast but I relaxed back into the run.

The wind blew past her beautiful fur and the trees got thicker till we were fully in the woods.

Adrenaline pumped through me as I ran tirelessly through the thick forest.
