Chapter 13

I stormed out of his study and with quick, hurried steps, marched to heaven knows where.

Feeling the need to stop and breathe, I took the first turn and luckily, it was the kitchen.

I walked towards the sink, grabbed a glass from the cabinet and placed it under the faucet, letting it fill up.

Once it began to overspill, I turned off the tap and threw my head back, downing the water in one go, hoping the cool liquid would quench the fire in my heart on its way.

I was livid.

Never in my life, past and present, have I ever been treated this way.

“Who the fuck does he think he is?” I growled inwardly.

“Who does who think he is?” Someone asked from beside me and my eyes rolled to the back of my head.

Could someone have any alone time in this place?

I ignored her, hoping she would just disappear but of course, I didn't have such luck.

“Tabitha, are you okay?” Hilda asked.

I kept mute.

“Did you get in a fight with someone?” She asked again.

I turned abruptly to face her and probably tell her
