Chapter 51 - Facing off with his family ... Again.

Daniel insisted and since I was really tired and not in a mood to fight with him about a room, I agreed. Being back there was not a fond memory for me and I just wanted to go to bed and get the damn visit over with as soon as possible.

I had just taken a shower and walked into his room to get dressed when I heard raised voices coming from the passage. I closed my eyes for a moment as yet another awful memory came to mind of people fighting in front of a locked door.

“I don’t understand how you could do this to us! To our pack!” A growl echoed down the passage and I recognized Daniel’s father. I opened my eyes just long enough to roll them before closing them again and taking a deep breath. If I tried hard enough, I could just block them out and not listen to the argument.

“I didn’t do anything to you dad! I’m trying to save people. Why can’t you get that into your damn thick scull? If we don’t stop this now, most of the people from both packs will die. Nobody is going to win. Didn
