Chapter 57 - Traitors disguised as friends.

The witch looked nothing like I expected. I went with Daniel to pick her up from the airport. Her bright smile was the first thing that caught me off guard since her teeth were perfectly straight and perfectly white for a start. She had no weird mole on her chin or her nose and her beautiful blond hair shone in the sunlight. Her blue eyes looked right into your soul as she took in everything about us.

We drove her to the pack territory, and she quickly set to work to unravel the mysteries of the spell. Half an hour later, Daniel and I were back in town trying to get our hands on some of the ingredients she needed. As we strolled through the supermarket, I sighed deeply.

“What’s up, buttercup?” He smiled, but I could see the multitude of emotions crossing his eyes and I tried to smile.
