I somehow convinced Harper to leave, but things were very tense all around the pack grounds. Everywhere I went I could hear people gossiping. Our future was probably somewhere out there, and I was refusing to give them the certainty of a pack Luna, and therefore the certainty of my heir being on the way.

I was convinced that Ava had died, and that my son was probably now in her grandmother’s care. Somewhere out there an old woman was going to raise a werewolf. She was probably going to be killed the first time he shifted, if she lived that long.

I had contacted everyone I could think of to try and help me find my son, but it seemed that Ava had either given birth under a different name, which I highly doubted, or she had not given birth in a hospital. My mind was going crazy as I imagined her frail grandmother watching her granddaughter give birth and dying.
