After resting for an entire day and a few hours driving in the car. The alpha and Sabrina returned back to the manor alongside Jayden and the other guards. Even after eating and resting, she still did not look that well compared to before.
It was why she had to put on more makeup that day than she used to. Maxi did not like how she tried to hide her flaws from him. It was normal to look pale after being sick, but she wanted to look presentable.
"I can't let the other staff get worried. Looking like a healthy human being is the least I can do." She joked in attempt to brighten up the mood.
"I can't believe you are still joking at times like this. Sometimes I wonder if you're actually sane." He returned the joke as well and the two of them were laughing together. After a while, they eventually arrived.
