The shock of what this woman just told me immediately summoned nervous goosebumps around my entire body.

I stood up facing her then she was still smiling from ear-to-ear as if she had told the funniest joke of the century. I was feeling my heart pounding inside my chest. This woman was actually serious about whatever she was planning.
