CHAPTER FIFTY-FIVE

Michael’s POV

The moon had just gone a half as I stood looking around. It’s been a long time since I visited the Viola Pack. Looking at the field brought back memories I thought I had forgotten. There was a feeling of nostalgia, rising like the early morning sun. I could clearly make out the playground we used to go to.

The chilly weather was in agreement with the way I felt on the inside. I loosened the shirt at the topmost button. My heart beat against my cheat like a drum. A drum of war. The blood pumped into my veins as I waited. Questions were all jumbled up in my head. Seeking answers, I so desperately want to know.

"Well, well, well, look who the cat dragged out, Hello Michael,” came Jake’s sinister voice. I spun around, and there he was. He reeked of alcohol. He was bare-chested except for a dark robe that adorned his shoulders. Was that the scent of a female I perceived? He was smirking.
