Nora’s POV

Pain.

That was the last emotion I thought would cross my mind as I picked up my clothes from Michael’s room. He looked like a baby while he slept. Will he be hurt? Will he look for me? What will be his next line of action?

Questions like these lined up in my head, but unfortunately, there were no answers. I was sure of my feelings towards him. I was sure I loved him, but the problem that kept bugging me was if Michael loved me too. But then I needed answers. I needed to see for myself the kind of person Jake was. I grabbed the key from the dresser and shoved it into my pockets. Part of the reason I was getting closer to Michael was to gain access to the keys to the pack house. He, Hercules, and the chief guards were the only ones with the keys. Michael was not just my safest bet; he was the only one.
