The sad ending

The bright light above my head pierced through my closed eyes. Where was I? I wondered as I tried to search for Rain beside me, but the space was empty. My eyes fluttered open, and I scanned the room, looking for Rain. He was nowhere in sight. Initially, the room appeared blurry, and I could barely see anything. However, on closer inspection, I realized I was no longer in Uncle Marcus’s small room; instead, I was back.

Back in my room in the werewolf realm.

I leaped to my feet and rushed out of the room, stumbling to the ground as I opened the door. "Ezra," I called out to my lycan but received no response. "Are you ignoring me because I cut you short? If you can hear me, say something!" I yelled, yet again receiving no response.

He was ignoring me; I knew that. But it felt as if he had vanished from my head as if he was never there. "Keep ignoring me, Ezra, then I'll do the same to you soon," I spat angrily, standing up and going in search of Rain.
