Strange Relationship

Since I wasn’t someone who liked to boast about my personal love life, it took Duchess Flavia a couple of probing questions to get me talking.

“Wow! I have to say that you've made so much progress since the last time that we had our dance lesson together. Congratulations, Mila!” The Duchess congratulated me happily when I told her that I managed to confess my love to the prince.

“Thank you so much. I doubt it that I would have had the courage back then to do something like this. It means the world to me to hear the prince say that he loves me too,” I confess to her shyly.

“This is why I envy all younger people. Always so sweet and so in love!” the duchess said teasingly as she clapped her hands together.

I could sense that she was genuinely happy for Prince Leonard and myself.

“Lady Regina and Prince Florian also have a baby on the way,” I said excitedly.

“Let’s not talk about that until the baby is born, if it even gets born…” the Duchess said darkly before letting out a laugh.
