~Alana~
“Mommy, I could have gotten to school by myself.” The young boy with dark brown hair groaned in obvious dismay. As he held the straps of his backpack, he grumbled, “What’s the use of a school bus?”“Ha. Ha.” Alana let out a sarcastic laugh and replied, “No, Kai. Not when girls are fighting over you. Nope! That’s not going to happen. Uncle Aiden will take care of you. Remember to be a nice kid. I love you. Bye!"
"Love you too, mom!" Kai replied, walking towards his uncle Aiden.
It was laughable! Alana’s initial thought came through.
Just the other day, two young girls, aged eight and nine, were fighting over who should sit next to her son. The bus driver pleaded with her to have Kai take a mode of private transport to school. Apparently, the scene in which girls fight over Kai was a daily upset to the poor old man.
Her son, Kai, was still seven years old, yet one could say he was a standout amongst the boys his age. He was taller, strikingly better built, and he had unfathomable amber-colored eyes, which, to Alana’s view, were almost golden. He had a pointed, long nose and the most adorable pinkish lips.
While Alana was thankful to the gods for giving her such a knockout son, the constant sight of his captivating eyes made her speculate about his father.
Sadly, Alana never knew Kai’s father.
Her aunt Lucille used to tell her he was someone... forgettable. And how was it she had no idea about her son’s father? Well, Alana had met an accident right after meeting Kai’s father. She was in a hospital for days and woke up with no memory of that man, not even a single detail of what transpired the night she made Kai with the said stranger.
The only thing she understood was, her boyfriend cheated on her with a friend and so she went out for a drink, met the forgettable man, had a one-night stand with him... Then… Kai happened.
That man. The forgettable man. That was all she could refer to him.
Maybe her aunt was right. The man was really forgettable for her own mind to act protectively and bury the memories of him completely. She meant to find out about Kai’s father, but only her aunt Lucille seemed to know about that man, or at least, maybe had an idea about his identity. Unfortunately, though, her aunt Lucille passed away during the first year of Kai’s birth.
Puff! Gone was the possibility of knowing her son’s father.
That did not matter now, however. Alana grieved too much, following her aunt’s passing, that she no longer cared for her sperm donor. She only had Kai, and that was more than enough. Kai was the only... love of her life.
At age twenty-six, Alana made a name for herself at The Emerald Bay Hotel in Bay City, the capital of Western Dhuran. It was six months ago when she was awarded the title of an Operations Supervisor. She took care of the hotel’s daily services and was notably tapped to handle the arrivals of their VIP guests.
That day, they had the biggest name, spending a week at their revered hotel; Mister Alric Valmore, the CEO of Valmore Group of Companies, a multi-billion-dollar corporation in Eastern Dhuran, the country right next to theirs.
Rumor had it; the Valmore Group of Companies were slowly expanding their businesses outside their country, and that was how the great Alric Valmore had come to visit the same five-star hotel where, Alana had serviced for over four years.
***
Heartbeats later.
Alana was exhausted, yet restless. Her heart was galloping as she wiped droplets of sweat on her forehead. She was holding a radio transceiver in her hand, checking with all her staff while walking in the halls of the hotel. She inspected with her team, “Guys, everything ready?”
“Yes, Miss Alana!”
“The VIP gift?” She probed further.
“Already in the room.”
She checked the time and ordered, “He is due to arrive in five minutes! Everyone, at the lobby, now!”
“Yes, ma’am!”
“Affirmative, Alana!”
While in her mini-skirt, her long and slender legs expeditiously made it from the location of the conference rooms to the hotel lobby. Her blue eyes efficiently scanned the property’s entrance and, after observing that everyone was standing in their designated place, she positioned herself right next to the hotel’s General Manager, Patrick.
Minutes later, five luxury vehicles in the shade of black turned up at the driveway, and from the glass windows of the hotel’s front, Alana could see how several men in black stepped out of the cars, their movements perfectly in sync.
Alana observed how the men nodded their heads. A few formed a protective arch by the third car. Again, they all acted fluidly despite not speaking to each other.
‘Amazing,’ she thought.
At the sight of them, Alana was mesmerized. She could tell her entire female staff was ogling at the parade of good-looking men. They were all well built, tall, and had impressive features. One of them, with light auburn hair, was especially eye-catching.
‘Woah,’ she thought to herself. Any of them could be good boyfriend material. Not that she would ever have the time to date.
‘Damn.’ All she could do was to curse in regret. ‘Maybe I need to get laid.’
Yep! She was barren down there, but what can Alana do? Her priorities were far different compared to other single ladies out there.
Just as she was lost in these thoughts, her manager beamed at her from the side and said, “Get ready, Mister Valmore is about to come out. This is big for us, you know.”
“Yes, Patrick, I know,” she acknowledged, her eyes struggling to tear away from the eye candies upfront. She puffed air out her cheeks and as she looked up, her eyes landed on a man who had just exited the car.
Instantly, her jaws dropped. “What... the...”
It was as if time had stopped fully.
Alana’s thought process suddenly drifted into thin air. Her eyes peeled further and she could feel her mouth turning dry. All of this because she was gawking at the man approaching the lobby entrance.
He was tall, definitely the tallest one of all. He cut an imposing figure. Even through his custom-made suit, Alana could still see the broadness of his shoulders and the thickness of his chest.
His face was well defined - angular and with strong jawlines. He was slightly bearded, just enough to give that dangerous vibe. He had a pointed long nose and his cleft chin further added to his arresting details.
Forthwith, she noticed how the man had long hair. It was tied into a bun, yet a few strands of his dark brown hair fell into his eyes. The sight of it made her fingers twitch, and a big part of her wanted to push it behind his ear.
‘Shit! Forget the red-haired guy!’ This man was probably the sexiest man Alana had ever laid eyes on! For a second, she stopped breathing, thinking, ‘Long-haired men are… Mmm.’
‘His eyes.’ Alana somehow recognized. She sucked in a breath when she realized the same man, who clearly was, judging from the powerful air he brought with him, was none other than Mister Alric Valmore. This man... had amber eyes… just like her son.
‘What were the odds of that?’ A voice implied through her head. A sense of familiarity flooded her. She could not point a finger at it, but her insides screamed at his presence. ‘Have... have I seen him before?’
While she was in a daze, trying to dig through her brain, she caught a pair of amber eyes that looked her way, and, for a second more, the same pair of orbs were glued to her blue ones.
She felt her heart skip a beat. Silence strangely besieged her as she remained fixated on Mister Valmore.
‘Is he... looking at me?’ She wondered in her thoughts, but just as she swallowed air down her throat, the said man casually peered in another direction. His face remained expressionless, completely unimpressed by her.
“Did you see that? He looked at me!” Alana glanced behind her and found the hotel owner, rather, the daughter, Bianca, excitedly announced. Bianca was an actress in Western Dhuran, a beautiful blonde with gorgeous green eyes.
Alana lowered her head with the realization that Mister Valmore was looking at Bianca, and not her. Her heart sank, and she greeted, but faintly compared to everyone else, “Good afternoon, Mister Valmore.”
There was no answer from the influential man, and with the thought of that, she felt her heart crushed altogether. ‘Why am I so affected?’
~Alric~ Alpha Alric and a few members of his pack flew to Bay City to eye a potential investment. While The Valmore Blood Pack had dominated many states of Eastern Dhuran, masked in the name of The Valmore Group Of Companies, Alric could not deny the growing market, west to their nation. He, together with his Beta, Dean Barrick, and a few of his Gammas, had flown via private jet and were now riding in a convoy towards the best hotel in the city. Gazing through the window of the car, Alric gasped and purred, “Eastern Dhuran is the refuge for all humans. Most of them are not aware. They live so blindly of our existence in the west.” “You know that well, brother. Not only was it your forefather’s peace treaty with the humans, but this is... your third time here in Bay City,” Dean reminded, his face reflected a hint of mischief. With the recollection of his previous trips, Alric snarled at Dean, his nose flared
~Alana~ “Good afternoon, Mister Valmore.” Putting a hand on her chest, Alana found herself squeezing near where it throbbed. Seeing Mister Valmore walk away from her ached, and for whatever reason, it was beyond her grasp. She maintained her head down, trying to soothe her discomfort. Alana observed how their General Manager had left his post to accommodate the valued guests. From a distance, she could hear them exchanging words. “Yes!” “Yes, anything!” “Absolutely, Mister Valmore. Anything you ask.” Alana could hear Patrick, her boss, confirm whatever request Mister Valmore had in mind, but she dared not look their way again. Strangely though, she could feel eyes on her, as if they were burning through her slender frame. Still, she ignored her senses, merely wanting to get this arrival ceremony over and done with. Not a moment too soon, she heard footsteps fading against the
~Alana~ Alana was in dreamland. Here she was, pinned against the wall by a handsome CEO, his arms protectively holding her. With the way Alric Valmore was whiffing the life out of her, she easily drowned in dirty thoughts of him. It was shameful to admit, but she could not help the attraction she had for this man. Her body acted on its own and her hands moved up to his chest as if they were holding him back, but in truth, she was enjoying the hardness of his sculpture. “Mister - Sir -” Her assertions were stuck in her throat. Her eyes fluttered to the sensation of the man’s warm breath against her skin. “Oh, dear...” “You smell so sweet… so divine,” she heard him say while he brushed his finger gently against the side of her face. With all the tension building up between them, Alana recognized the dampness in between her thighs that she clamped them together, holding back the irresistible arou
~Alric~ “But werew -“ Alric stopped himself, recalling how this girl had no idea of her own true nature. All the more, she did not have her wolf, another mystery to her he had to solve. ‘She doesn’t remember? And all because she met an accident?’ Alric was in doubt, but he also discerned her sincerity. He gulped his theories down his throat and further tightened his hold around Alana. He maintained to savor the surrounding air, pressing his lips on her head. Alric recognized, perhaps, there was some truth to what she said. Since she had no wolf, she could not heal the same way as he did or any regular werewolves. She could not be a late bloomer, though. As far as he knew, Alana should already be twenty-six by now. Back in The Port of Valmore, the largest territory within their name, they had late bloomers who shifted after they turned eighteen. Alana, however, was a different story. If only they were together then, h
~Alana~ Patrick, Alana’s manager, was in doubt. Alric Valmore allowed her to leave when he had earlier named Alana to be their aide while in the city. Thankfully, the powerful CEO confirmed his approval, but the odd thing was, he did not allow John to relieve her for that afternoon either. Still, Alana’s working hours were nearly done, and she deserved time off, anyway. More than just being worn out during the days prior to Alric’s arrival, she utterly had to think things thoroughly. ‘Is Alric really Kai’s father?’ She pondered while walking into a grocery store located close to her neighborhood. She was still in her uniform. Her mini-skirt displayed her slender legs and her vest hugged her frame superbly. Alana knew it would be for another two hours before Kai would arrive home, and since she needed the time to think, she made it a point to walk around. What better way to walk around than buying groceries at the same
~Alana~ Inserting the key in, Alana’s hands were shaking. “Darn!” The memory of Claire and Lilith belittling her still remained in her thoughts that her face was still red in exasperation. Alana was standing on her porch, trying to open her front door, and had been for five minutes since she arrived. When she dropped the set of keys, she bent over and carelessly attempted to open the door once more. It did not open. Her blood was rising, so she shook the doorknob vigorously, and alas, she broke it with ease. Alana’s mouth fell agape, and she took the deepest breath for that day. “Great. I guess my day is getting more exciting by the hour.” “Mommy!” She turned to find her son, being escorted by her neighbor, Aiden. “What are you doing here so early?” “Good afternoon, Alana. Didn’t expect to find you here at this time,” Aiden said, his smile was from ear to ear when he offered, “How about... we have d
~Alana~ “Mom, what’s my daddy like?” Kai inquired while his amber orbs sparkled to near bright gold. His lips thinned as they curved up, unable to hide his excitement. Alana was tucking Kai into bed. She sat on one side, pulling the blanket up to his torso. She beamed at her son’s curiosity and replied cautiously, “Well, Kai... I - I have yet to know your father.” Slightly throwing her head back, she blinked, and her mind wandered to her very remarkable afternoon. She blushed at the thought of Alric and she flushed while describing him, “But, physically, he is a tall and muscular man. He is a businessman from Eastern Dhuran.” “Is he as handsome as me, mom?” Kai asked, chuckling. A giggle escaped Alana’s lips. Her striking blue eyes glinted as she revealed, “Yes, he is very handsome. In fact, you resemble him very much.” “Mom, why is your face so red?” Kai probed, making Alana feel her cheeks with her fingers. “Do y
~Alric~ “Max,” Alric greeted, his chin up and his eyes intensely peering at his Gamma. His colossal figure, shadowing against the dusk, his walk wielding like always. “Alpha,” Max replied, lowering his head. “You did not have - “ “I have to!” Taking a deep breath, his gaze landed on the second floor of the small home, and he resumed his words, “I had to know for myself.” Seeing how Max nodded, the great Alpha probed, “What is the best entry to the rooms? Up the tree? Climb at the back?” He was ready to put his muscles into good use, ready to climb like a Romeo would for his Juliet, and then Max replied, “Alpha Alric, the front door is open. You can enter there.” “What?” He snapped, snarling at his Gamma. “And why is that, Max?” Poor Max, strained at the mood of his Alpha. He swallowed air down his throat like it was his fault, to begin with. He stammered through his answer, “It - it was her doing, Alpha. Our futu

~Lana~ “Alric, what is this? Why are we even here?” Lana asked as they entered the arena of the Port of Valmore at eight in the evening. "Why are the lights off?" It was strangely so dark, that she could barely make out the bleachers. Guiding Lana at the center of the ring, Alric said while holding her hand, “I declare today and for the future years of this same day, Women’s Appreciation Day! The best part is, today is also your birthday!” “What? Where did you get this idea?” She asked, laughing in the night. “The pack, of course, especially the ladies who enrolled at the new school,” Alric revealed. “To start this event, we want to thank our dearest, Luna.” Last week, Lana opened up a new school, especially for women who wanted to learn how to cook, sew, and garden. The same school also would teach the basic techniques of how to care for young pups, care for the wounded, and learn to deal with family stress. She knew the w
~Author’s Narration~ Two years passed. “I pronounce you, husband and wife.” Applause could be heard, following the end of the mating ceremony between Lana’s aunt Lucille and her mate, Farkas. “Congratulations, aunt!” Lana cheered, smiling at her aunt. “Finally, Lucille, you tied the knot. I’m so happy for you!” Greeted Arabella and Gunner echoed the same. “Congrats, grandma,” Kai, now twelve, greeted with a smile. Lana’s twins, Lavender and Lilac said the same, both of them wearing the same purple clothes. They have recently turned four years old and were both very playful. Jayden was in his father’s arms, clingy as always, despite nearly turning three years old. Alric and his family, including Lana’s parents, visited the Hidden Mist Valley Pack once more, to celebrate the union of Lucille and her mate, an elder from the Blue Moon Pack, who now decided to relocate to the
~Lana~ Another year passed. “What are you doing there? Lying there like a stick? That is so not like Alpha of you!” Lana laughed, making her way to the bed and reaching for their baby boy. “He keeps snuggling on me and no matter how much I try to give him space, he finds his way to me.” He frowned, his body laying down, sideways. He reported, “Now, I don’t have any space in the bed for myself.” Lana continued to laugh and pointed, “You should have put him in his crib.” A groan left Alric’s lips. He rolled on his back and stretched his long and thick arms, saying, “Like that would work.” “Yes, I guess you are right.” Looking down at the sleeping baby, she confirmed, “This boy right here is a certified daddy’s boy.” Jayden, their fourth pup was nine months old, and he was a very clingy baby to Alric. They could not figure it out, but each time Alric was around, his little hands stretched to Alric automatically a
~Lana~ “Wife, you sure picked a good time to be in heat,” Alric said, hissing. His eyes narrowed at her, his tongue licking his own lips. He took a big whiff at the air around him and declared, “I bet you are dying to be fucked right now.” Lana was lying on their hotel bed, her body completely warm, her head filled with lustful thoughts of her husband. “I don’t know, Alric, but I can't help it...” Her eyes darted to the wall that divided them from Max’s room. She said, “Mia and Max are in the other room.” “So?” Alric said, taking off his shirt, and instantly, the display of his well-curved muscles made Lana's panties soak. “What do you mean, so? We are both so loud in bed!” She reminded, her face burning all the way to her ears. Before Alric could answer, however, they heard moans, loud ones, coming from the other room. “Oh, gods! Max - Ahh, that feels so good - Ahh!” The walls were so narrow, Lana and A
~Author’s Narration~ Loud shrieks and cries of pain came from one room of the packhouse, within the Cross River Pack. Everyone who lingered outside the room tuned in as Mia was beaten to a pulp by her own father. “How dare you bring trouble here? You should have warned your fated mate about our rules! You cannot leave this pack! Do you hear me!” Mathew screamed and what followed next were sounds of thuds against the wooden floor, glass shattering, and Mia's cries. The cries only stopped when nightfall came and Mia fell unconscious, on the floor. Despite her condition, her father nor her twin sister did not treat her wounds. Only Mark aided in her care, groaning as he wiped the blood off her skin. When mid-morning came the next day, Alpha Jasper was calling out loud from the kitchen, demanding food. “Where is Mia? She and her brother should be cooking right now.” Mia’s sister, Leslie, stepped into the dining area and pointed o
~Max~ Max never truly understood how the fated mate bond worked. He had seen Alric, Drake, and Dean become whipped in front of their mates, but he had always marveled if it was anything stronger than his feelings for Geneva. Many claimed it would. That was the purpose of the moon goddess to put two souls together, make them one in love. Now, standing in front of his fated mate, Max had finally recognized this to be true. He was completely thrilled, overwhelmed with joy, and, in fact, warmth spread throughout his body. His wolf was howling like crazy inside of him! Apart from satisfaction, lust engulfed him. He had been in front of many naked women before. That was always the case after shifting into their wolf form. Max had also seen Geneva fully naked, but this was different. The level of arousal he felt being in front of Mia was conquering. His brother down there did not, for a second, hesitated and simply became erected and it remained
~Alric~ “Alric, where is Max?” Lana asked while packing her things. Also packing hastily, Alric replied, “He is within the Cross River Pack. East to the Port of Valmore.” “But, I thought he left for another country?” Lana asked as soon as she stuffed the last of her denim jeans. “He did, but after going around from pack to pack from the neighboring countries, he realized, we never explored the small packs of Eastern Duran. And so, that was how he found himself at the Cross River Pack’s territory,” Alric explained, before revealing his inner happiness. "Lana, I've been waiting for this day." A smile became painted on his wife's face and she answered, "I know. I'm excited to see him too. “Are you ready?” He asked impatiently. “Ready,” said Lana. Her smile did not hide her elation. Immediately after arriving at the Port of Valmore, Alric left instructions for Dean to take care of the pack while he w
~Lana~ Over one year passed. Lana’s hands were up in the air. Her blue eyes turned white as ghosts, all while she chanted the words, commanding the waters to follow her bidding. As she did, her hair also changed into the color of her eyes. She was standing by the ports, with several elders of the pack, including Alric and Valencia, observing her perform the spell she had been mastering over the past eight days. Following the words that she recited, Lana gazed up to the moon’s bright light and pleaded for the water to rise. A gush of wind suddenly engulfed her and her skin crawled. Soon, she witnessed the wave rising and creating angry roars as it flowed into the canal. From behind her, Alric commanded, “Dean, tell them to turn on the pumps! Keep the water flowing!” For nearly an hour, Lana stood by the ports, controlling the movement of the seawater into the canal, the same that streamed to the Port of Valmore,
