Running up the pack floor with as much strength as I could muster but I wasn't as fast or as strong so I was left behind.
“The baby is coming.” Someone yells.
“That is impossible, we have three more weeks.” Elder Maya says dumbfounded.
“What's going on?” The Alpha and Aidan make their way into the hallway and all shoulders grow tense. I might have forgotten to mention that Aidan is the future Alpha of the Ravenmoon pack, which makes the Alpha and Luna his parents.
“The Luna is in labor.” someone answers.
“I thought as much.” The Alpha winces, probably feeling his mates discomfort.
“Ivy” I hear Elder Maya call from inside Luna's room. I look towards Aidan's worried face and give him my best soothing smile before going in.
“Ivy got the Obstetrical forceps.” I rush to get the equipment passing by Clarissa and some of the pupils standing starstruck. It's their fault for not learning when they should have.
I gasp at the amount of blood on the bed the Luna is laying on, she looks almost lifeless.
“Luna Isolde, please stay awake, you cannot fall asleep right now.” The beta female says panicking and the Luna murmurs weakly.
The Alpha bursts into the room and everyone jumps. He runs towards his mate, the whole room clouds in his anger, worry and fear. All the other pupils literally fly out of the room but for some reason I'm barely affected by the Alpha. It's because I'm too worried about the Luna to care.
The next one hour minutes is spent with me running around the room following instructions from Elder Maya.
“She's bleeding too much, she's going into shock.” The beta female exclaimed.
The Luna suddenly stops moaning and goes still. The room goes quiet, everyone in shock and holding their breathe.
“We lost her” Elder Maya whispers.
The Alpha goes through many emotions, he whines desperately, then his whine turns into a growl, then a roar before he flees from the room, removing the wood door from its hinges.
“Mom?” Aidan runs into the room. “Mother?” He repeats, too scared to move closer to the bed, I still haven't let out a breathe.
“What happened to her? She was just fine this morning.” He roars at Elder Maya.
“I-I-we.”
“Speak Elder Maya.” Aidan roars again using his Alpha instincts. I've never seen him so angry before.
“The bleeding was not normal, she wasn't supposed to go into labor today.” Elder Maya stammers still horrified from the recent events.
“So your incompetence killed my mother, your Luna.” Aidan's face turns into a nasty shade of red, I couldn't quite fix my kind Aidan into this person right now, it was surely the pain.
“No I-, Ivy?” She aggressively calls.
“What was in the Ginseng tea you brought to the Luna this morning?”
“Clarissa made-”
“What ingredients were in the tea?” She yells facing me, her eyes burning.
“Ginseng root, water and honey.”
“It was dormant before but why do I smell a strong amount of black cohosh in the Luna's breath?”
I'm driven dumbstruck by the empty look in her eyes. “I-I have no idea, maybe Clarri-”
“Shut your mouth you filth, I asked you to make the Luna’s ginseng tea this morning.” My mouth close and open at the accusation.
“Aidan-” I rush to call.
“How dare you call the future Alpha by his name.” The beta female roars at me and I jump in shock.
“Get out, all of you.” Aidan growls, not even sparing me a glance.
“A-Aidan I didn't-” I desperately try again.
“Get. Out.” He screams in my face and I stumble backwards. “Know your place, you mutt.” He states and my heart constricts inside my chest.
The guards come to drag me out and fear grips my very soul. “I didn't do anything, let me go.” I scream out in frustration all through the way to the pack's cell for rogues.
“Shut up your mouth you murderer.” One of the guard's hands connects to my nose and it sends me flying across the cell.
I do not move an inch from my position as the foul smell of blood and multiple odor in the cell brings me back to the reality of my situation as sob racks through my body.
“Ivy, Ivy.” Someone's whisper wakes me up from my miserable slumber.
“Clarissa?” My eyes peel open.
“Ivy, you have to help me.” I glare at her, making sure my anger at my mistreatment shines through my eyes.
“Why should I help you with anything?” She flinches at my glare, never having seen me even close to anger before.
“You have to confess that you made the tea.” I knew what she was going to say but it still did not stop my shock at her words.
“Why should I sacrifice myself for your sake, hmm? Who are you to me that I would do you a favor?” I yell angrily at her, anger filling me for the first time.
“You bitch!! No one would believe you anyway, you are a nobody and we already have enough evidence to prove I didn't do anything, a trial will be held to prove us all innocent and clueless but there will be no trial for you because you are nothing but a lowlife omega in truth, a nobody.” She harshly says and something inside of me breaks and whines.
Elder Maya's hatred must have rum through more than I expected, I'm no one to her, not her family, no one so she would choose to save the other kids over me.
“That's not true, Aidan will get me out of here.” I weakly say.
“Aidan?” She throws her head back laughing.
“You are even more dense and foolish that I thought.” She laughs, giving me a disgusting look. “You really thought the future Alpha would have something to do with you? He was only fooling around with you the entire time you ugly bitch.”
“That's not true, Aidan wo-” I say weakly.
“If he even cared as much as cared for you, he would have gotten you out already, Aidan already found his mate stupid, the future Luna is my older sister. He was only playing some stupid bet with his friends, you know what it's called? How long will it take to make a fool out of stupid, naive Ivy?”
My heart drops at her untrue words and I turn to throw up at a corner.
“And now you went and killed his mother and sibling out of spite and tried to frame his mate's sister, how bitter and wicked can you be?” I shake my head at her taunting words. The baby also died? I gasp loudly from exhaustion and dehydration.
“At Least I'm happy for something, the pack can finally be rid of your filth.” She sneers at me before walking away leaving me in pieces behind.
After a few days of being in the cell with no food or water, I lost track of what day or time it was. Some guards pick me up and drag me to the pack’s training center by dawn and tie me to one of the patios. The humiliation at being hanged on a pole like an animal ready for the kill. The training field is empty as the guards abandon me to my empty thoughts. My eyes drop from exhaustion and it doesn't take too long for the quiet to be disrupted. “I see you are having a good time.” The sound of that thick voice peels my eyes open with a low gasp.“Aidan.” I crook out.“Don't you dare say my name, I've had to bear it for years.” He growls violently, his pretty face constricting into a scowl. I swallow thickly ignoring the beating of my heart.“Aidan, please help me, I beg of you.” I plead like the desperate filth I was.“You killed my mother.” He growls angrily at me. “I didn't I swear, Clarissa made the tea, not me.” I say desperately tears filling my eyes.He scoffs, I knew you were
We get to the guest wing of the palace where I've never been allowed into before.“I-I can't be in here.” I say to the warm large man still carrying while struggling weakly to get down. “Why?” He asks genuinely confused.“I'm not allowed in here.” I whisper and he looks more confused before his eyes glaze over like he's caught up in a mind link.“The King need- command you to be here.” Is the only explanation I get as he continues to walk. What does the King want from me, does he have a more painful death in mind? Why would he release me?The large man walks into a room and drops me onto a bed.“My name is Kyle.” He introduces me after setting me down and I blink. “Second in command to the Alpha King, it's a pleasure to finally meet you.” He says bowing his head and I gasp and lean further into the bed. I look at him like he's crazy.I try to ignore his bizarre words, his stoic face from earlier now suddenly switches into a warm small smile and I nearly choke. What's the matter with
“If she does not learn to control her powers, she becomes a danger to herself and the whole world at large.” A council elder sighs at the young woman holding a child no less than three years old.“She is an abomination to our world, she means danger and death for all of us.” Another council elder says aggravatedly standing up.“I came here hoping you could help me.” The young mother cried out.“That girl should never have been born and you know it.” Another council member yet again states bitterly.“I had no fault in who I was mated with.” The young mother again cries.“The female child possessing the power of the fire element can never be accepted. Even with years of practice, she will never be able to control that much power, she'll die one way or the other, there's nothing you nor I can do about it.” The first elder tries again softly.“I cannot abandon my three year old child to the pain of death, not while I'm alive.” The young mother tells them angrily standing to walk away.“El
“I Love you my child, you must live.” I jolt awake breathing hard from the same dream I have every night since I was probably old enough to dream.A strange woman whispering, I have no Idea if it is a memory or just a weird random dream.A big smile appears on my face as I realize what day it is. I get up from my small makeshift bed on the floor. Aidan gifted it to me because he didn't want me laying on the floor anymore. My smile widens as I continue to think of my prince Aidan, he's my typical knight in shining armor, never has anyone in the pack treated me as good as he has before.I had no talent, skill or special gift as a pack member except being the packs dog that is whistled upon whenever a filthy errand needed to be attended to so I became a pupil to the pack elder healer. It's usually not that bad, atleast they accepted me when no one else wanted to and Aidan has been nice to me since we were kids, he said he had something to tell me today.I perform my morning routine and
