Gianna’s POV

I dried my hands on a towel after bathing the children smoothing Kate’s damp hair as she yawned and snuggled closer to Kayden. They were out within moments, breaths soft and even.

Watching them always tugged at something deep in me. A mixture of fierce love and guilt I couldn’t shake since we found ourselves back here. I pressed a kiss to each of their foreheads before slipping out of the room.

The night air hit me like a balm, cool and crisp agasint my burning skin and yep, heart too. My wolf stirred, eager to stretch her legs. I didn’t fight her. I stripped down, tying my clothes around one of my legs just in case, and shifted with practiced ease.

It’s been a minute.

My fur was dark and unremarkable compared to the silvery coat of someone like Catherine.

Catherine.

The thought of her nagged at me, unbidden and unwelcome. Where was she now? She had been so confident, practically glowing as she declared herself the future mother of King’s heirs. Rubbing it on my fac

Gianna’s POVThe cabin was dead quiet when I stepped back inside, my bare feet making no sound against the wooden floor. My heart pounded from the cold air that had nipped at my skin all the way back, but the embarrassment of what I had endured dulled its sting. Somewhere along the way, the pants I’d tied to my leg in preparation for my shift had fallen off, leaving me to walk back in nothing but a T-shirt that barely covered my butt. Thank goodness it was late. At least the kids were asleep. I didn’t have to explain why their mother looked like she’d just escaped the wilderness. But I did escape the wilderness just not how I was supposed to. I spotted King’s coat draped over a chair near the foyer and didn’t hesitate to take it. The thick material enveloped me like a cocoon, heavy and warm, and his scent was musky, utterly masculine, hit me instantly. It was dizzying almost intoxicating to be honest. What a man. I swallowed hard and clutched it tighter as I moved to the couch.Si

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   59: Sensuous night

Gianna’s POVThe sting of Tara’s betrayal was still fresh, a relentless ache that made it nearly impossible to focus on the crying actress on the screen. She let her cheating husband kiss her, tears streaming down her face as if his lips could fix the mess he’d created. I wanted to scream at her, to shake her, to demand why she’d let him hurt her over and over again. But even that frustration couldn’t distract me for long. There is something far more interesting close to me. King’s presence was overwhelming, suffocating in the best and worst ways. His heat radiated beside me, seeping into my skin through the fabric of his coat, which still wrapped me like a second skin. His scent was everywhere, intoxicating and maddening, making it impossible to think about anything else for more than a few seconds. Not Tara. Not Blair. Not even myself. I tried to focus on how I’d break the news to Blair. On how I’d tell her about the betrayal we never saw coming. But then King shifted beside m

King’s POVThe moment she pulled back, I saw the panic in her eyes. Her lips were still swollen from our kiss, her cheeks flushed, her breathing beautifully shallow. For a fleeting second, she just stared at me like a deer caught in headlights and I thought and hoped she’d stay. That she’d let this moment hang between us, that we’d both give in to whatever was sparking and burning between us. Cause we both know the tension wasn’t new. But then she scrambled back like she’d been burned. It took everything in me not to drag her back to my lap. “I—I’m sorry,” she stammered, her voice cracking as she stumbled to her feet. “That was... I don’t know what I was thinking. We should just forget it happened. Please. Forget it.” I opened my mouth to respond, to tell her I couldn’t possibly forget something like that but she was already rushing away, practically sprinting up the stairs. Her scent lingered, thick and sweet in the air, clouding my senses and making it impossible to think st

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   61: Trouble

Gianna’s POVI woke up with a groan, the weight of yesterday’s embarrassment hitting me like an ugly train. My mind replayed every detail of what happened between us, refusing to let me escape. And as if the memory wasn’t tormenting enough, I’d dreamt about it over and over. His hands gripping my waist, his lips devouring mine, the press of his body so firm and good beneath me. I clenched my thighs together biting back a frustrated sound when I realized the dampness between my legs wasn’t from any dreamland fantasy but a very real, very physical reaction. Great. I murmured in my head. Just what I needed to start my morning, being reminded that my body was fully betraying me. I sat up and rubbed my face, letting out another groan. The kids weren’t in the room, which wasn’t unusual, but the faint sound of laughter and chaos from downstairs told me exactly where they were. Kayden was feeling better then. That made me smile, even if it was short-lived, because the second I thought

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   62: More threats

Gianna’s POVBlair’s wide eyes burned into me as I trailed after King, her unspoken question as loud as a shout. Wondering what King and I had to talk about in private. Me too. She didn’t say anything but I could feel her confusion, her curiosity, and the nagging worry radiating toward me. I couldn’t blame her. I barely knew what was going on myself. I hadn’t even told her about Tara yet. And now this? The door slammed behind me and the air hit my face like a slap. King moved ahead with deliberate steps, his hands shoved into his pockets as if the weight of the world hung in his fists. I followed him past the cabin, past the clearing, until the laughter of the kids faded behind me replaced by the soft crunch of leaves underfoot. Oh yes, I’ve worn shoes now. We stopped in the middle of nowhere, the trees standing tall and dense around us. He didn’t look at me right away his gaze fixed on the horizon, his body rigid. Finally, he turned, his eyes meeting mine with a heaviness that

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   63: A rendezvous

Gianna’s POVWe turned back toward the cabin the weight of our conversation still very heavy between us. I didn’t even realize how close King had gotten until the rough bark of a tree trunk pressed into my back. I was deep in my thought to notice. My breath caught as he loomed over me, his hands braced on either side of my head, caging me in. "King," I started but the word barely left my lips before his eyes dark as a storm, pinned me in place. His body pressed into mine, every hard, muscular line of him molding against me. I could feel his heat, his power, the tension radiating from him like a live wire. Just as it had yesterday. My heartbeat thundered in my ears, a mix of anticipation and anger coiling in my chest. He wasn’t just close, he was suffocatingly close the air between us thick and charged. With so much hatred and lust. Hatred that we wanted each other the way we do. His gaze dropped to my lips, lingering there as if they held some kind of answer he was desperate t

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   64: Deal with them

Gianna’s POVThe moment I opened the cabin door, I froze in the entryway greeted by a scene that could only be described as chaos. Blair and Liam stood at the kitchen counter, their hands buried in what looked like dough while Kayden and Kate were running circles around them, tossing flour like snowflakes. The air smelled faintly of sugar and burnt... something. Flour covered every surface starting from the counters, the floor, even the walls in some places. It clung to their clothes, hair, and faces like they’d been in a war zone. My kids looked like tiny ghosts, grinning ear to ear as they darted around the room. Behind me, King let out a low, guttural growl that only I could hear. It vibrated down my spine, making me shiver. It was deep in my mouth earlier. That growl. “That,” he muttered under his breath, “is why I hate people being in my space.” I glanced back at him, his jaw tight and his eyes simmering with barely contained irritation. For a split second, I almost pitie

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   65: Fresh air

King’s POVThe cabin was unusually quiet save for the occasional crackle of the fireplace and the low murmur of voices as Liam, Tom, and I sat at the small dining table. The air felt heavy and loaded with the kind of tension that had become second nature over the years. The three of us were huddled close, the weight of our decades long plan pressing down on us as we spoke in hushed tones."The Alpha Kings are already sniffing where they shouldn’t," Liam said, his sharp blue eyes flicking toward me. "If we don’t move quickly, this whole thing is going to fall apart." I leaned back in my chair, my arms crossed over my chest. "It’s not that simple," I muttered, my voice tighter than I intended. "They aren’t just sniffing. They’re digging. They’re calculating. They’ve spent their lives perfecting the art of control." Tom, sitting to my right rubbed a hand over his stubbled jaw his expression unreadable. He has been so tired lately I wonder what is going on with him. “This thing we’v

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   Epilogue

Gianna’s POVI lay in bed, a mysterious smile curling my lips as I traced lazy patterns over my swollen belly. Today was going to be fun. I had a wicked plan in mind and it is one that involved my mates kissing each other. Why? Because I could and because I wanted to see it. Because I was heavily pregnant and could hardly have sex these days and I needed entertainment. The massive master bedroom in our palace was built for all five of us all spacious and luxurious with an enormous bed that could fit us all. When the doors swung open and my mates strode in together their presence filling the room. I saw the instant recognition in their stormy gray eyes. They knew I was up to no good. King was the first to narrow his eyes, even the most perceptive. Keith cocked his head his lips twitching. "You look naughty as fuck right now. Someone needs to be fucked properly.” He drawled. Kane didn't say a word. He just walked straight toward me with eyes dark and kissed me like he needed me to

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   170: Right choice

King’s POV The forest stretched endlessly before us with the dense canopy of trees swaying with the wind as we ran. The rhythmic pounding of our paws against the earth was the only sound between us all the steady and cool as if we could outrun everything including our past, our mistakes and the weight of our choices. The night air was cool against my fur all crisp with the scent of damp earth and pine but there was something else beneath it and something familiar and heavy. The past. It clung to us like a second skin, refusing to be left behind no matter how fast we ran. For hours we didn’t stop. None of us spoke and none of us hesitated just four wolves tearing through the undergrowth pushing forward and pushing past. It was only when the scent of humans drifted toward us (all the gasoline and the faintest trace of smoke civilization) that we knew we had reached the edge of the forest. We slowed, our breath heavy and finally came to a stop by the river. The water rushed past us

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   169: Breathing

Gianna’s POVKing exhaled slowly his hands flexing at his sides as he stared out into the distance. The air was heavy with the aftermath of everything that had been said but there was something else too something restless in his stance and in the way his fingers curled and uncurled as if itching for release. “I need a run. I just… I need to clear my head.” he finally muttered and it was more to himself than to any of us.I didn’t stop him. I watched as he turned on his heel and strode out his movements sharp and deliberate. A moment later, the sound of his shift echoed through the still morning air bones snapping, fabric tearing and guttural growl ripping from his throat before he disappeared into the woods. I stood there for a moment, watching the place where he’d vanished then turned to the triplets. They all look a little bit sad and empty in their own kind of way. This night is taking so much to on them and they haven’t been able to sleep either. “I think you should go afte

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   168: Something new

King’s POVI sat in the dimly lit living room with my elbows braced against my knees while staring at the unmoving body before me. My father lay sprawled across the cold floor, his once imposing figure reduced to nothing more than a battered and bloodied mess. His face was swollen, his lip split wide open and bruises blooming across his skin like a grotesque painting. His chest rose and fell faintly but I didn’t care if he woke up. I didn’t care if he ever fucking woke up again. I had used him as a punching bag landing blow after blow until my knuckles were raw until my arms felt like dead weights until my rage had burned itself out into an exhausted numbness. It wasn’t enough. It would never be enough. Not after everything he had taken from me. From us. A soft creak of the staircase broke the silence and I raised my head to see Gianna standing there. She hesitated for only a moment before stepping closer, her expression wavering between concern and understanding. Despite the blood

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   167: New reality

Gianna’s POVI stood in the doorway watching them. Kane, Keith and Klaus stood like statues their bodies rigid with barely restrained emotions. Their father sat before them, hollowed out and empty with the years having stripped him of the power he once used to control them. And yet despite his frailty, he still held an unbearable weight over them, one built from years of pain and resentmet and abandonment. I had never seen them like this before. Silent. Still. As if they weren’t just men but fragments of something shattered and something that had been broken for so long they no longer knew how to piece themselves back together. I stepped inside and the sound of my footsteps was deafening in the quiet. They didn’t look at me. Not at first. Their eyes were locked onto the man who had shaped their entire existence. The man who had taken everything from them. But they weren’t just three lost boys standing in front of their father anymore. They were kings. Rulers who had built their

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   166: Full truth

King’s POVThe air was extremely heavy right now and super thick with something unspoked and suffocating. I could still hear their voices echoing in my head with the weight of their rage pressing against my chest like an iron fist. I could feel their disappointment their pain, their disgust. And yet as much as I wanted to let that be the end of it, I knew it wasn’t. There was more. Something bigger. Something that would change everything. And I had to be the one to say it. What he had just told them was never my fucking concern. Why he faked his death is really none of my business. The thought made my throat feel tight. My father( the man I had loathed, hunted, dreamed of killing) sat there on the floor with his body slumped and his breaths uneven. His face was bruised his lip still bleeding from the force of my fists but he didn’t look at me. He didn’t look at any of us. He was avoiding the inevitable. Like a coward. Like he had always been. I clenched my fists at my sides,

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   165: Part truth

Klaus’s POVThe room was deathly silent. The only sound was the faint and ragged breathing of the man before us the man we had spent our entire lives trying to forget. The man who had shaped us into kings, only to disappear leaving behind nothing but scars and questions. And now after all these years he was here. Sitting before us. All beaten up pathetically by an unknown man. Why would King even beat our father like this? Or he has made an enemy of him before he stepped down and faked his death? I need to know why this all happened and how he knew our father in the first place. King stood over him with his stance rigid and his hands clenched at his sides. He was barely holding himself back and I could feel his rage simmering beneath the surface all dark and lethal. He had already done enough damage judging by the blood smeared across our father’s face and the way his lip was split and the bruises forming along his jaw. And yet the bastard still had the audacity to smirk. It made

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   164: A tyrant

Keith’s POVThe man who had molded us, who had shaped us into something more machine than wolves. The man who had taught us how to rule with fear and strike with precision, only to disappear and leave us to do it alone. The weight of his presence pressed down on my chest suffocating and inescapable. King’s voice cut through the silence. "You should sit down." Like hell. Sit down for what fucking reason right now? I barely registered the way my hands curled into fists and my nails biting into my palms. The air felt thick, heavy with tension so sharp it could cut. I could feel Kane and Klaus stiffen beside me their silence more telling than any outburst. None of us had ever been good at hiding our emotions. And right now? We were all drowning in them.“You have five seconds to explain before I rip his fucking lying throat throat out.” I let out a sharp and bitter laugh cause that is the only thing I can afford at this moment. Our father no, not our father. The man who used to b

  • The Alpha Kings’ Curse Breaker   163: Risen dead

Kane’s POVThe night had been quiet and almost too quiet in my opinion. Unnaturally so. Keith, Kane and I sat in the living room with the tension between us thick and though none of us spoke about it. There is a kind of tension that you know nothing could work on for real. We weren’t fools. We all knew why the air was heavy and why Keith’s fingers tapped restlessly against his knee and why Kane had barely spoken and why my mind was cycling through every possible excuse to not think about what had happened just hours ago. Gianna had stayed with us tonight and even made us go rounds without getting tired. She’s got a mouth that I want to have doing so many things at the same time. She has chosen us tonight and made us feel like the kings we are. And yet none of us could shake the weight pressing down on our chests. Because we knew who she’d go to tomorrow and I didn’t hate her for it. But I hated that I wasn’t enough. That we weren't enough for her and hated Moon Goodess more for
