CHAPTER 79

The sun shone brightly in my face and I popped one eye open. It was already late in the morning. I could tell from the fact that the sun had come out. I must have overslept. I tried to roll over to the other side of the bed but I was surprised to feel a body. I opened my eyes fully and I saw Tyron, leaning on his elbow and looking down at me.

"Good morning" I croaked and he kissed my forehead, goosebumps covering my skin.

"Morning. You slept in"

"Yeah...you kept me up. How come you're still here? You're usually gone by this time"

"I wanted to wake up with you" It didn't seem like the only reason. I lifted myself, leaning on the headboard.

"Alaric?" I questioned.

"He's with Juanita. He's going to be spending the day with Juanita and Colton"

"What? Why? What's happening"

"Nothing. You need to relax. I was thinking, after yesterday's events you could have some time to relax"

"I'm not staying in bed all day"
