The lust that brewed in Xavier’s eyes as he beheld her shook her to the core. She wasn’t his type. She was neither fair nor beautiful. Yet, he stared at her body with so much desire; she shuddered from the inside out. She felt cold being naked to his gaze, but the lust and desire in them had warned her up.
He lowered his face to stop hers, keeping their gazes locked on each other the entire time. At the touch of his lips, her eyes fell close, too taken by the feel. She had dreamed and longed for more of him, more of his kiss, his touch, his caress, for so long and she would finally get it.
He kissed her slowly, flicking his tongue over her bottom lip and then nipping at them. Her lips parted as she longed for more from him. He didn’t give her more. Instead, he traced her lips and pulled them between his teeth and sucked them lightly.
“Your lips taste so good for what you say with them sometimes.” He moaned and trailed kisses over her jaw, down her neck.
Double updates!!! Thanks for the votes yesterday!!... So finally, the royal union had been consummated. It took long but it felt alright now. I wanted to communicate every detail in both perspective. I hope I did a little justice.... Who noticed the eyes change? Also who do you think is behind the threat letter Xavier got? Do you think that justifies him being protective of Mia? I want to hear from you guys. I miss your comments. Thanks for reading.
Two things crossed Xavier’s mind when he took Mia to bed. One, there will be a lot of change from now and two, there would be no going back. He didn’t want to go back, not when he stared at her and saw the much need and desire she had for him. She submitted to him, without fear or hold backs. She was so responsive and he needed her. He needed to have her, feel her walls around him, clenching him hard, pulling him along with her until they were both spent. Taking her would consummate their union and seal their bond as husband and wife. It also meant she would become his Luna, and he asked himself if he was ready for that, if he could trust her. There had always been something he could trust in them and even now, behind her lustful gaze, it showed. He could trust himself with her. And so he did, surrendering and reaping nothing but satisfaction. He collapse on the bed, “Catch your breath. I still want more.” His raspy voice informed her, and she didn’t object. He took her again,
Hours later, Xavier cracked the door to the study open and stepped inside. He would carry on with the day as if nothing happened. Something did. His heart was crushed, but he had to hold his head up and move on from all of it. It would be for the best. He gave the guards instructions to not bother him unless the matter at hand was an urgent one. He picked a new book from the shelf titled: You And The Three Stars. It looked like an interesting book, and he needed to keep his mind preoccupied. If he succeeded in clearing his mind, then he would try to figure out what to do with the threat letter he got. He flipped the pages open and took a seat to read the first page. It was a brilliant book, but sadly, it was a romantic one. He didn’t put it down, though. He kept reading how Ivan lost Tomi to the three stars. It was a pure case of negligence and he wished he could see Ivan and tell him how dumb he was for not seeing all the signs To
The ray of the sunlight peeking through the slightly parted window flickered on Mia’s face. She moaned and twisted a little in bed before parting her lashes and becoming conscious of her environment. Her brain felt hazy while she tried to wrap her head around the events that took place last night. It seemed blank. Yet, something told her so much had happened. She swam her hands on the bedsheets, and they ran over her naked body. Then it hit her. It wasn’t a dream. She had given herself to the alpha king, and he had taken her. He had claimed every part of her. He also took her surrender, and she took his. She turned her head to the other side of the bed. But Xavier was no longer there. She didn’t expect him to be. He took her to punish her and seeing him would have been awkward. She didn’t want to think about it, but she was certain he had moved on from it and already marched into the next conquest like she knew he would do. That thought made her heart sting a little, and she groane
She stayed silent, pondering over what he just revealed and when her alluring amber eyes finally lifted, she asked, “Does that change anything in our agreement?” It changed everything. From their bond to their needs and vulnerabilities. The first union amongst married couples wasn’t just mating, it meant they will give out a part of themselves, leave themselves vulnerable to the other party. Mating was an act of vulnerability, as it was of control and dominance. He trusted her enough to be vulnerable with her, but she didn’t do the same with him. That was what drove him away and the reason he kept off. He knew that wasn’t what she wanted to hear and so he shook his head. “No, it changes nothing. Take a walk with me.” he stretched his hand out to her, and she reluctantly took it. “When I was little, I’d hide out here whenever Edward and I played.” He said, pointing to the path that led to the forest outside the palace. It now had a palisade for protection of keeping intruders out an
Mia saw Xavier struggle as he revealed a part of his past, especially his estranged relationship with his father. It seemed to have begun many years ago, and she understood why he had a difficult time getting along with him. He didn’t have to tell her. Those were parts anyone would try to hide away, yet he wanted her to know. He trusted her. He didn’t want to be like his father, though, and looking at Xavier now, she knew he was nothing like him. He was a good man and king, and every day he worked to get even better. She didn’t want to shut him down. He communicated healthily and encouraging him would go a long way. He had given up so much for the throne, some of which she still didn’t know about. If she could help him gain back even a little, she wanted to try. She wasn’t just his wife and Queen; she was his Luna now. “Have you ever wished for another life?” her head swivelled to give him an angled glance. “More times than I can count,”
“Dying wasn’t part of our agreement.” The reply he had given a while ago echoed in his ears as they made their way through the palace hallway and towards her chambers. Things got a little awkward since he said those words and they couldn't deny it. But if he had the chance to go back, he would still say the same thing. He didn’t want her dead because he no longer saw a world without her in it. That world flashed in his eyes when he saw the stake launch towards her earlier. It was an unbearable life, one he wouldn’t want to be in. So he saved her. He needed her, he still wanted her and the nightmares she brought him. It was a scary reality he was getting used to. He knew his feelings were genuine and strong for her, and they grew every day, but he didn’t want to project that on her or put them in a complicated place. So, he gave the excuse of the agreement to her. Once they reached her door, he broke the silence. “Are you sure you didn’t hurt something? You don’t want me calling t
Her eyes were still shut when he pulled out of her. He took his cum-covered hands into his mouth and sucked it dry. “Turn around,” he ordered and her eyes fluttered to see him already off the bed and staring down at her. “What?” she dragged out. Her orgasm had knocked the air out, and her senses only started returning a few seconds ago. She doubted she could do what he wanted. She was still trembling and sensitive, but the look on his face told her he wasn’t giving her much option. This felt like yesterday. Only he gave her time to recover her strength before telling her about his plans to go again. “I need you. I need to have you. Do it now!” he growled, his need getting the best of him. Her core clenched at his possessiveness, coming to life, and she scrambled onto her hands and knees, awaiting his entrance into her. He took his time, gazing at her from behind, and she felt his eyes trail from her legs up to the back of her thigh and further up. He liked whatever he saw because
Mia's eyes fluttered at the ray of sunlight in her room. She twirled around a little in bed, but when her head turned around, she didn’t find Xavier beside her. Her heart tightened painfully in her chest, but she quickly told herself to get over it. It wasn’t his first time leaving and it shouldn’t surprise or hurt her anymore, but it did. No matter what she told herself. His actions were always going to hurt her. However, she would not show it. She would not confront him. That would only make her look weak, and she didn't want to look weak. The door to the bathroom opened while she contemplated how to get out of bed and behold, Xavier stood before it. He had his trousers on but had nothing covering his upper body but for his long back hair which fell over his shoulders. His gorgeous shoulders which she'd trailed kisses on last night. He rested his shoulder against the wall and crossed his hands over his chest and his biceps flexed as a result. Mia dragged a
The wind blew over Mia’s face as she walked through the garden to where she was informed Xavier was waiting for her. She had paid a visit to the temple to offer prayers after Xavier stubbornly refused to come with her. In his defence, he had never been a fan of temple visits, not since he attacked the priests during his first shift. She didn’t push further. She understood him and so she went alone. She was about to leave when Valok, a seer at the temple, took hold of her hand while trapped in a trance. Her heart skipped a little, but she remained in control and watched what he wanted to do or say. After what felt like ages, he opened his eyes and his orbs shone white as crystal. “Hail, queen Mia, mother of Wahala’s greatest ruler. It is an honour to stand in your presence and foretell the little I’ve seen.” He bowed his head. “The moon goddess knows what she did when she made you blue and also queen.” Mia instantly knew he spoke about her fur and she wonders if he had any kno
Xavier sat in the courtroom, listening to the report of the supervisors of the Capital 3 in the last few months. According to their report, the project should reach its completion in another four months and in a year’s time, these institutions would become fully functioning. Xavier, however, didn’t listen to their case or take anything they say into consideration. His mind was far away on the ship leaving for the kingdom of Reading, the ship which had the love of his life and mate. It left shores three days ago according to the reports he received and his heart had been bleeding ever since. He made a promise to Mia to carry on in her absence, and that was what he had done so far. Still, it hurt, waking up every day without her beside him. Going about his duties as king without having her laugh and tease him didn’t sit well. He missed her; he missed her laughter, her grace, her rebellion and everything that made her who she was. He couldn’t accept the fact that she had gone, accepting
Weeks later. Xavier’s lashes pulled apart as his consciousness returned. He saw Mia already up and seated on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. He barely saw her like this. Everything was now good. The kingdom was safer than ever, and progress was now a sure thing. After the trial ended, Xavier dismissed Elliott from the capital, because he believed he had a hand in the attack on the queen, even though there was no proof of it. Robb implored him to reconsider his decision, but his queen was okay with the sentence and so was he. All has gone well ever since, and Xavier only hopes it’ll get better. He pulled himself up and drew closer. He placed his lips on her soft, bare back, lathering kisses thereon and feeling her tingle to his touch. She moaned and turned to him. “Good morning.” “Good morning, my love. Why are you up?” “Thinking.” she sighed. She looked to be in a dilemma and that had cast a dark fog over her mi
Xavier stepped into the inner courts where the now seven elders, Elliott and Robb, sat waiting for him. Behind him were Mia and Edward, and together they made their way up. While Edward and Mia stayed back, Xavier continued towards the stand to face the alpha of alphas. Unlike the last time they were here, they had one less person in the courtroom, Chike. The council of alphas in unison placed a curse on Alpha Chike as punishment for the betrayal of his duties to the throne a few days ago. The curse left the mark of betrayal, an engraved red scar on his forehead, which would tell everyone who he was and what he had done. And after that, they banished him from the kingdom of Wahala. He was told never to return or will die at the hands of the elders and his soul would end up in Inferno, every living being’s nightmare. Heeding Mia’s advice, the king spared Chike’s family from his fate after discovering that they had no hand in it. Alpha Chike’s act of betrayal a
“Queen Mia, your presence is needed in the throne room. The elders are assembled and waiting for you.” Mia slammed shut the book in her hand abruptly and rose to her feet, following the guard out of her study. She walked as fast as her legs could take her to stay on track with Sir Valerio. Summoning the eight elders together usually took three to five days, because they weren’t always in the capital. But since they’ve all stayed at the capital in the last three weeks of the king’s trial, their arrival at the palace took a few hours after the message went out to them. She arrived at the throne room and the eight elders stood before the king, all adorned with white robes having golden stripes. Over a dozen guards stood behind them and Edward stood on the first stair that led up the throne seat where Xavier sat. All eyes travelled to her at her arrival and she immediately shivered in response, knowing her attacker was also here, staring at her. Xav
When Mia woke up the next day, she didn’t find Xavier in bed. He had left, and her eyes strained. She wondered how long she had been asleep while she turned around in his bed. The smell of Xavier lingered on the sheets and in the room and last night her senses were foggy, but now she could take in his manly smell along with his scent. She missed this, and it was just two days of being apart. She wanted to stay all day here, but she knew reality wouldn’t let her have that. She sighed and pulled herself up to sit down, the memories of the night before slipping into her head and she remembered why she came back to Xavier’s room. There was an intruder last night, an alpha, who tried to kill her. The images flashed back into her head and fear gripped her heart. She wrapped her arms around her body. She had held her own, yet she was scared. Xavier asked her into his room so he could keep her safe and she was grateful he did because she felt safe wrapped in his bed and arms
Xavier couldn’t stand the thought of any harm coming to Mia. He had made provision for more security since his trial began, so no harm came to her when she stepped out of the Palace but failed to consider the harm that could happen within the palace. He failed to protect her tonight. He didn’t see the attack coming, but he should have. He would have lost her tonight, and it would have been his fault. The thought of losing her haunted him and shrunk his heart terribly. He needed to keep her safe at all times. “You can’t stay here. Come stay with me tonight,” he suggested. She hesitated because she felt unsure about his suggestion. “I haven’t slept in your bed in the last two days.” He nodded. “And I’m sorry about that. You were right, I was selfish, but it was because I didn’t want you going down with me. I love you too much to want that.” She nodded, no longer wanting to fight after everything. “I understand.” He exhaled in relief. “Good, then come with me to my room and stay ther
Mia had returned to her room after the incident with her husband two days ago and hadn’t gone back since. This morning, unlike yesterday, when she went for breakfast, she didn’t see him at the table. She didn’t ask Edward, who sat at the table with her where he was. She was still mad at Xavier as she should be. But she didn’t hate him. She couldn’t hate him because she loved him. He only did what he thought was best, what he thought she wanted. Yet, it hurt her. He was ready to give up on everything. On the kingdom, his throne, and on her. That made her mad. She stripped out of her clothes, picked up the towel and wrapped it around herself. Then she made her way to the bathroom to get a hot bath. Toni already set her white nightgown on a hanger close to the door, so she could change before leaving the bathroom. She stayed in the tub, easing her body and mind of the events of the day. She missed Xavier’s hands on her. They were good at washing and making her feel relaxed. She no lo
Xavier stood beside the door of the court, holding a smile on his face as he watch her speak with the maidens. Not for once did he take his eyes off her majesty. She was the walking, breathing definition of perfection. He didn’t care how the trial would end; he didn’t put his mind to it. He was only interested in cherishing his queen for the rest of the time he had. As the maidens took their leave, Mia’s gaze finally turned to him, and his heart skipped a beat. She smiled and made her way over to him. Every step made his heart beat faster. The smile didn’t leave her face as she approached, and he took a few steps forward to meet up with her. “My king.” “My queen.” “We will win this.” Yes, that was very important, but somehow, having her with him for the rest of time felt even much more important. Staying with him, however, might not make her as happy as it would make him, and if he truly love
