“Hey Lisa,” Blake greeted as he approached her, standing close by. Lisa shook her head, trying to regain her composure. “Would you just tell me why you stopped me? Or are you just going to stand there in silence?” she demanded, her tone cold.

Blake took a step closer, and Lisa instinctively took a step back. But as she tried to put more distance between them, he reached out and grasped her hand, drawing her closer.

“Why the attitude, Lisa?” Blake implored, his voice low. “I apologized for that night, didn't I? I know I was harsh, but you shouldn't dwell on it.”

Blake held Lisa’s gaze, awaiting her response.

Lisa scowled, meeting his gaze with defiance. “Just leave me alone, Blake,” she spat out. “I can't deal with jerks like you.”
