Chapter 108

"Rose." He said.

"Yes?" her voice was no less than a whisper. She wasn't per se scared of Zander, She knew he'd never hurt her but did he look ever in charge and ready to rule the world?

"I know you don't want to do this, but you heard Dr. Leonard, this is for your health and wellbeing. It's just for a little while. I will never, ever take risks with your health. Do you understand that?"

Zander asked her, staring unblinkingly into her eyes. Rose felt as if her soul was exposed to him and it both felt good and nerve-wracking.

She nodded.

His face softened a bit and his hand came up to cup her face, instinctively she leaned into his touch.

"I rather you be mad at me than you being unhealthy when I could have done something."

He confessed. She felt like a bitch.

Here her mate was trying to look out for her and all she was doing was making it hard on the poor guy.

"I'm sorry." She said, looking up at him.

He leaned down and put his forehead against hers, looking into her eyes.
