I can’t even believe my parents and my aunts. What the fuck was that all about? I know they wanted to make a statement to everyone, the Council in particular, but still. Briell is looking absolutely dumbfounded and I cannot help but feel sorry for her. She ran away from that life when she chose my side in this war, and now she has been thrown back into the lion's den by our Goddesses.

“I think we should take this back to the packhouse, or at least let the pack be on their way now?” Isaiah immediately lets the pack and visitors in the stands know that the show is over, and they are on their way out. “Briell, how are you feeling?” I ask, sensing she is on the brim of passing out. She gives me a faint look and a small smile.

“I don’t even know what to say?! I never.. How am I supposed to lead them?” She whispers, and I wrap an arm around her shoulder. Tristan kisses her temple.

“We’ll figure all of this out together, babe.” He says, looking at me. I give him a bright smile
