Daminor went for a long run like he always does after the full moon. His ears twitched, and he smelt it, something was following him and it was huge.
He flipped and sank his claws into the big wolf's neck.
“A.. Alpha I-it's me...” Anchor coughed out.
“How could you sneak up on me like that, Anchor?" Daminor groaned, loosening his grip on Anchor's black furred neck.
Anchor shifted back to his human form, breathing heavily.
“Sorry Daminor, I didn't mean to sneak up on you.”
“I want to be alone.” Daminor groaned, looking away from him.
Anchor sighed sadly. His best friend wasn't this cold before they lost everything. He wasn't this isolated before, he no longer shared his feelings with him anymore and it pained him deeply.
“I came here with some news regarding the company.”
Daminor went silent, and Anchor knew that it was a go ahead for him to say whatever he wanted to say.
Anchor cleared his throat. “Well... Ephraim sent a message today. He said the sales are doing great and he found a new secretary for you since the last one quit the job.” He concluded.
Dominor kept quiet again.
“Daminor.” This time Anchor stood in front of him and fearlessly looked into his amber eyes.
Daminor groaned, “You don't look me in the eyes, Anchor. You're disrespecting me, I'm the Alpha. Don't. Forget. That!" He almost roared at him.
“You forgot something else. I'm not only your beta but your long time best friend and you seem to have forgotten that Daminor.”
“I want to be alone, Anchor,” he repeated.
“For how long?” Anchor asked.
“You no longer come to the human world anymore—”
“You know how much I hate going there. You know what those people did to our people. I'm not going there any sooner. You said Ephraim found a new secretary right, he will handle everything.”
Anchor knew that he couldn't argue anymore. There was no way to convince Daminor, he was stubborn, a hard knuckle to crack.
Anchor sighed, “As you said Alpha king.” He bowed slightly.
“You can go and check up on them.”
“But I can't leave you all alone here. I'm your beta, I'm supposed to stand by you every time. What if something happens and I'm not here to—”
“I'm here aren't I Anchor? I won't let anything happen to our people again. I failed once, not again.” Daminor's jaw clenched.
“You didn't fail. You tried, I was right by your side remember?”
“I still failed. I didn't try hard enough, if I tried hard enough then I would have come out victorious today. They would have all still been here. Leia wouldn't have— ``You can go now, Anchor, I want to be alone.” He has again mentioned her name, it deeply hurts him whenever he mentions her name or remembers her. He couldn't keep his promises of protecting her.
Anchor nodded, the look on his best friend's face was scary and painful at the same time. No matter how much he tries to keep himself strong it never works. He lost his one and only mate, Leia.

Anchor did as he was told, took a journey to the human world to see how the company was doing. They trusted Ephraim to keep everything on track and he did.
When he made his way into the company everyone could sense the powerful aura that surrounded him. He was the Alpha's beta after all, everyone greeted in respect.
“Good morning sir.” Jackson greeted, bowing his head.
“The files.” Anchor said and Jackson quickly handed him the files. They knew how strict he was but it was kind of strange that both the CEO and the COO came once in a month or maybe twice and that was it.
Anchor walked into Ephraim's office only to find him with a woman, he was a pervert and they knew. All vampires seemed like perverts but he was the only vampire in their pack. Everyone knows that vampires and werewolves don't get along but a few years back Draugluin rescued Ephraim, despite their hatred. Ephraim was attacked by the rogues and he couldn't fight them, Daminor had to rescue him.
“Ephraim.” Anchor groaned.
Both the woman and Ephraim jerked up. The woman, whose name was Alia, quickly fixed her short skirt and ran out of the office.
Ephraim grinned, scratching the back of his neck. “Big guy, you should have told me that you were coming. I would have made preparations for you—”
“What if it was the Alpha who walked in on you right now?” Anchor folded his arms.
“I couldn't stop myself. Gosh, she was so damn tempting with that short skirt. Do you know what Anch did? She freaking opened her legs so I could see her cleanly shaved pússy. A man gotta do his thing and it's been long since I drank some red wine man.” No doubt that Ephraim was talkative and annoying.
Anchor groaned. “I read your message. You found another secretary for the Alpha?”
He nodded, “Yes, I did. Trust me Anch, she's the perfect candidate for this job and she's—”
“A she?”
“Yes she. Don't you think it's time we change? I know that the Alpha only wants male secretary. Who knows, maybe she could change the Alpha for the greater good.”
“Is she human?”
Ephraim grinned. “I-i...well actually y-yes.”
“What!” Anchor growled loudly.
“You know exactly how Daminor feels about humans, you fool! Why would you go on and hire a human secretary? Have you gone crazy or are you trying to drive me crazy?” Anchor was furious.
“There was nothing I could do, Anchor. They were all humans and I couldn't ask them if they were wolves or not. It would sound awkward, don't you think?”
“You can't hire her.”
“The big guys are coming in two days' time. I won't be able to find a new secretary by then. Please just try to understand where I'm coming from. She's capable of doing this job perfectly and...and there's something about her that—”
“Quit being a pervert, Ephraim! Have you thought about Daminor? Do you know how he's going to react when he finds out about this? In fact, he's going to find out when he comes here soon. Pray that he doesn't kill you!” Anchor growled angrily.
Anchor paced up and fro, wondering how to fix the mess that Ephraim created. He couldn't possibly hire a ‘she human secretary’ can he?
“Calm down big guy. I'm sure that Dr is going to understand, we need her. We won't be able to find a new secretary now.”
“And besides, Dr doesn't want to come here anyways,” Ephraim mumbled under his breath.
“So you thought it was the right thing to hire a fúcking she— you know what? It's pointless talking to you.”
“Her name is Lia McCain—”
“I don't freaking care what her name is!” Anchor groaned furiously.
“How long?” Ephraim asked with a serious face on.
“How long what?” Anchor furrowed his brows.
“When did you mate?”
It was a strange question because Anchor didn't have a mate. “I don't have a mate, you fool!”
“Moon goddess has created a mate for every wolf and vampire.”
“Where is your mate?” Anchor asked back.
“Somewhere out there, waiting to be fúcked.” He laughed.
“It's pointless talking to you Ephraim. I didn't know that vampires were this stupid.”
“Hey! Don't say anything about vampires. We're the most powerful creatures on earth—”
“You didn't just say powerful did you?”
Ephraim grinned.
“Just as I thought.”
Anchor wondered how Daminor was going to react. He hated humans to the core, he was going to be furious and that was for sure. He had to fix it, somehow.

“Lia!” Accalia heard Jane's loud shriek and she wondered why she was that overjoyed.
Accalia rushed downstairs.
“What's going on Mrs McCain?” Accalia asked absentmindedly.
Jane flipped a mail on he face. “What's this Mrs McCain?”
“It's a letter from the company,” Jane responded.
“Oh...” Accalia trailed off sadly. She knew that she messed up, she was sure that it was a rejection letter since she couldn't answer any question that was asked by the interviewer.
“You got the job!” Jane squealed.
“I did?”
Did she really get the job or was Jane just fooling around? She asked herself.
Accalia furrowed her brows in confusion, wondering whether Jane was just foolish around or what. She clearly remembers that she failed to answer any of the questions in the interview. She ran off in tears.“I don't understand Mrs McCain. I failed to answer any of the questions that man asked me back there.” She bowed her head in shame.“To be honest I don't know why but hey! Let's look on the brighter side here, you got the job Lia. This is a huge opportunity for you. I'm sure that they must have seen the potential in you and that's why they chose you. Look, it's mail for you.” Jane handed her the mail.Accalia read everything that was written in the mail. She couldn't believe her eyes, Jane was right about everything, they indeed chose her as the CEO’s secretary but her questions remained u
Chapter 7 : Invisible Touches. It was morning and Accalia woke up from her wet dreams again. She saw him again, his amber eyes were brighter and he had touched her once again, but it was different, everything felt so real. This time she felt her back lying on something soft, and he rained kisses on all of her body, she found herself moaning for him for the umpteenth time with no shame. No matter how many times she tried, his face remained invisible to her. “Let me see you just once, please...” Accalia pleaded with a soft moan as his invisible tongue found its way onto her sensitive spot. He gave her immense pleasure by suckling her continuously. “P-please...” she moaned again. “You will see me soon, Accalia, very soon.” His voice was hard and deep. The way her name rolled out of his mouth turned her on more and more. ‘Soon’. “S-stop please...I-i can't take it please stop.” Accalia cried out as waves of escasty pushed through. “You can and you will, just take a deep breath for m
Chapter 8: The Alpha's Mate! Anchor's steps came to halt upon seeing Accalia glaring back at him. He felt it. He sensed it. The Alpha's Mate! But... How could this have been? She carried Daminor's scent and aura even though they've never met before. He wasn't sure what was going on but the girl was his Alpha's mate, he smelt him all over her and to top it off she looked very familiar to someone but an older version. She looked like an older version of Leia but she couldn't have been her, Leia was a strong she-wolf and she had died in front of his eyes, whereas he smelt pain, vulnerability and misery in the lady standing before him. What exactly was happening? Fate was playing a brutal game on his Alpha. Why would he be mated to a human who looked like his past love? Everything was wrong, he knew that Daminor would only hate the girl and nothing else. Rejection. Accalia stared at the strange man before her, he was huge and his gaze gave her goosebumps. Her heart started running
The rogues surrounded the Anchor, Dysemy and the Alpha king. “I don't see your leader anywhere. Does this mean he's scared of us? I've always thought that Callan was nothing but just a sick bastard and a coward. He should be the one to face us,” Anchor growled furiously. “We can say he had better things to do,” the rogue who's name was Dakar answered with a smirk on his face, he was Callan's right hand man more like his beta. Alpha Daminor stood there silently but his eyes changed colour and they all noticed his fury. His hidden dark wolf was furious and he wanted ‘Out!’‘LET ME OUT SO THAT I CAN FINISH THEM, NOW DAMINOR!’ His dark wolf screamed from the inside. ‘Not now Badarlph, let me fight them without you,’ Daminor responded to his inner dark wolf. He knew that if he could let Badarlph take over his body, he might never be able to get control again and he would surely kill everyone, including his best friend and Dysemy. He needed Badarlph but he couldn't let him take over, he

Badarlph has always been ruthless, he hated humans more than Daminor did but for some reason he was soft hearted towards their mate, something that Daminor will never do. You need to heal first, Anchor.”“How are we going to receive the foreigners? This is a huge deal to us, we can not lose this. I'm going to have a fine Daminor. You

She took one step forward, followed by another one and took a deep breath just like Jackson had asked her to do.“Miss— McCain?” Ephraim asked glaring at the woman standing before him with her head bowed down.‘Pretty.’ He thought, scrutinising her. She was curved in all the right places, her brown chocolate eyes shimmering with fear and her long black hair made her even more beautiful. He licked his lips, he had already imagined sinking his razor sharpened fangs in her naked exposed beautiful pale neck. But the aura around her felt strange to him, something wasn't right. He wasn't good at determining that kind of stuff because he was a vampire.“Please have a seat Miss McCain,” Ephraim said with a smile.Accalia nodded slightly and took a seat, facing down.
